Marion Haggard
Marion Ann Haggard, 67, of Vinton, Va., died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Richfield Nursing Center in Salem, Va.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 20 at Battle Creek Baptist Church in Coopertown.
Born Nov. 20, 1933 in Nashville, she was the daughter of Richard and Sarah Louise McMurtry Young. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Haggard Sr. and son, Dennis Haggard Sr.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Survivors include daughter, Christie Binkley; sons, Randy Haggard, David Haggard and Donald Haggard Jr.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Yvonne and Pricella.
Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Naomi Meadows
Naomi Hamm Meadows, 73, of Ashland City, died Saturday, June 23, 2001.
Services were held Tuesday, June 26 at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Whitfield officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends served as pallbearers.
Survivors include sons, David Freeman Wilson, of Manning, S.C., Harvell (Michelle) Hamm and Tommy Hamm, both of Bon Aqua; sister, Mary Broyles, of Nashville; grandchildren, Clayta Hamm, Jody Hamm, Rene Hamm, Amber Hamm, Justin Hamm, Deanna Wilson, J.R. Wilson and Kayla Marie Hamm.
Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Flossie Turner
Flossie Turner, 92, of Ashland City, died Monday, June 25, 2001.
Services were held at Cheatham County Funeral Home Wednesday, June 27 with Bro. Dan Harless officiating. Burial was in the Petway Family Cemetery in Ashland City.
Born Nov. 15, 1908 in Tennessee, she was a retired school teacher with the Cheatham County school system. She was a member of the Ashland City Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gordon Lovell and Hugh Lovell; sister, Odessa Work; and grandson, Steve Roberts.
Pallbearers were Benny Batts, Billy Batts, Shawn Hudgell, Ellis Hudgell, Victor Roberts and Hal Roberts.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Joyce Roberts, of LaVergne, Bonnie Batts and Sandra Hudgell, both of Ashland City; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
