Johnny Wayne “Jay” Byrd Jr., 28, of Ashland City, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Services were held Thursday, Oct. 18 at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, with Bro. Gene Parton officiating. Interment was in Joelton Hills Memory Gardens.
He was born April 20, 1973, in Nashville, the son of Johnny Wayne and Virginia Ann Gamble Byrd. He was in auto sales.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wayne Byrd Sr.
He is survived by mother, Virginia A. (Gary Baker) Byrd of Ashland City; beloved son, Bryce Byrd; sister, Jacque (Ryan) Crooks; grandmother, Mrs. Doris Powell; nephew, Hunter Chapman; and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home in Joelton was in charge of arrangements.
Gerald C. Engel
Gerald C. Engel, 66, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12 with Father Richard White CMF officiating.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Engel, and his mother, Irene Moivhill.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Alice Engel of Ashland City; sons, Jerry Engel of Ashland City, Michael Engel of Chicago; daughters, Kathleen Foster of Ottawa, Ill., Michelle Engel of Ashland City, Kelly Gambill of Nashville, Tammy Metzgar of Phoenix, Ariz.; and brother James Engel of West Chicago, Ill.

Dana Henderson
Dana Edward Henderson, 54, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 19 at the Ashland City United Methodist Church by Rev. Pete Furnier.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Gunnoc.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Henderson of Ashland City; his father, James Henderson of Charleston, W.Va.; daughter, Mrs. Abigail Cadiz of Nashville; brothers, Brooks Henderson of Bay Town, Texas, and Mark Henderson of Beckley, W.Va.

Howard Hudelson
Howard Jay Hudelson, 71, of Ashland City died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Osborne officiating. Interment was in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. John Nadeau, members of RSES and RSEA, Robert Smith, Jimmy Blair, Dennis Blair, Jack Childester. Active pallbearers were U.S. Army members, Ft. Campbell, Ky.
He was born July 10, 1930, in Wilkes Barre, Penn., the son of Calvin Foster and Helen Evans Hudelson. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 20 1/2 years and from Ed’s Supply Heating and Air.
He was preceded in death by parents, Calvin and Helen Hudelson; sister, Elizabeth Hunter; and brothers, William Hudelson and Clayton Evans.

Ralph Stinson Sr.
Ralph Leslie Stinson, Sr., 73, of Ashland City, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at his home.
Remains are at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, where the services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Alex Jackson officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
He was born July 21, 1928, in Hickman County, the son of Andrew and Nancy Gordon Stinson. He was a Master craftsman.
He was survived by wife, Lucille Whittle Stinson of Ashland City; daughters, Linda Dawson, Ann Phillips, both of Ashland City, and Sue Schubert of Nashville; sons, Ralph Stinson, Jr. and Steve Stinson, both of Ashland City; sister, Gertrude Callaway of San Antonio, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; and 22 step-great grandchildren.
