Opal Darrow, 78, Ashland City, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Hubert Raines officiating. Burial followed in Bearwallow Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Robert Hester, Randy Hester, Todd Orange, Bubba Palmore, Ricky Hudgens and Nathan Hudgens.
She is survived by husband, Halmer Darrow of Ashland City; son, Frank (Edna) Darrow of Dothan, Ala.; two grandchildren, Chuck (Tammy) Darrow of Montgomery, Ala., and Bryan (Michele) Darrow of Hartford, Ala.; and two great grandchildren, Davis and Trenton Darrow.
Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Betty Ann Key
Betty Ann Key, 66, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at her home in Ashland City.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 29 at Boyd Funeral Home. Chaplain George officiated. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest Key of Ashland City; sons, Mark Duncan of Chapmansboro, Marty Duncan of Charlotte, Michael Duncan of Lexington, Ky., Mitchell of Mobile, Ala.; step-children, Ricky Carl Key and Tanya Lewis.
Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Louise Shoemake
Louise Borum Shoemake, 92, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 29 at Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. Cliett Goodpasture officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
Serving as pallbearers were Smith Chastain, John L. Borum, Lewis Ellis, Joe Shoemake, Johnny Borum Jr., Richard Hewitt and Bill Kirby.
She was preceded in death by Charles M. Shoemake.
She is survived by a sister, Virginia Borum Jackson of Ashland City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Ashland City Church of Christ. Donations in her memory can be made to the Boys Ranch or Ashland City Church of Christ.

Nellie Simpson
Nellie Evelyn Simpson, 94, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Boyd Funeral Home. Bro. Hubert Raines officiated. Burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Simpson; father, Allen Binkley; mother, Lee Stewart Binkley; daughter, Louetha Cheney, brothers, Clarence Binkley, Jadie Binkley; sister, Martha Patterson; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by sons, J.D. (Marceen) Simpson of Ashland City, Raymond “Buz” (Sherry) Simpson of Charlotte; daughters, Mamie (Oscar) Hamilton of Ashland City, Ruth Primm of Obrien, Fla., Cladie Hollis of Ashland City, Faye Gower of Ashland City, Charlene (Denville) Harris of Ashland City; sister, Anna Reeves of Ashland City; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

James Wilson
James Robert Wilson, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001.
Graveside services were held Sunday, Dec. 30 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ashland City with Rev. Larry Davis officiating.
Wilson was retired from State Industries in Ashland City.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Wilson of Ashland City; four daughters, Sue Ann Wilson of Nashville, Virginia C. Henderson of Cedar Hill, Glenda Brassell of Ashland City and Thelma Wilson of Ashland City; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
