Connie Jane Batson died at 2:20 a.m. Nov. 24, 2002, in Port Orange, Fla..
She was the daughter of Lucy Jane Batson and the late Edward Batson and was born March 11, 1953, in Clarksville.
She was employed as a dental hygienist at ABC Family Dental Center. She had been an employee of Drs. Ray and Gilpin in Ashland City for several years.
She is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Curlee of Edgewater, Fla., and Elizabeth Douglas of Buchanan.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Henry Roscoe Griffin
Henry Roscoe “Pete” Griffin, 81, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at Cheatham Medical Center in Ashland City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Bro. Ralph Taylor officiated. Burial was in the Cheatham Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers were Chris O’Neal, Shawn O’Neal, Shannon Griffin, Michael Simpson, Larry Carter and Brian Bissinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Minnie Griffin, brother Roy Griffin, sister Minervia Griffin and one granddaughter.
He is survived by wife, Helen Griffin of Ashland City; sons, Jerry (Sherrie) Griffin of White Bluff, Ray (Rita) Griffin of Bon Aqua; daughters, Patty (Jimmy) O’Neal of Chapmansboro, Lorrie (Jerry) Simpson of Hermitage, Peggy (Larry) Carter of Gallatin; brothers, Oscar (Frances) Griffin of White Bluff, Floyd (Frances) Griffin, McKinley (Faustina) Griffin of Ashland City, Ernest Griffin of Hodgenville, Ky., sisters Mary Griffin of Dickson, Mattie (Hubert) Tidwell of Burns, Dimple (Leu) Crump of Greensboro, N.C. and Novella Markel of New Oxford, Penn.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Juanita Irene Hutton
Juanita Irene Hutton, 71, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
Funeral services will be held, today, Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. Ted Pagel will be officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
She is survived by daughter, Charlene (Tommy) Smith of Yorktown, Va., two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Norma) Edgin of Ashland City, Joe (Flora) Edgin of Ashland city, Billy Edgin, all of Ashland City, James (Margaret) Simpson of Charlotte and sister Mary Corpe of Warren, Mich.

Mack Paschal Kelley, 71, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Cheatham Medical Center, Ashland City.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home, Ashland City. Bro. Vernon Barker officiated. Burial was in Greenbrier Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Charles Jackson, James Tomlin, Charles Kelley, James Albert Walden, Billy Noe, Tim Hurt, Joseph Moore, Scott Moore, Charley Ray Harris and Charlie Binkley. Honorary pallbearers: Dr. James Baldwin, Robert Burgess, Yellow Freight employees, nephews; Susan Noe, Mary Moore, Jay Moore and Robert Harold Walden.
Mack, known most as Pete, will always be remembered for his love of God, County and his family.
He is survived by wife, Betty Kelley of Ashland City; daughter, Jonquil Kelley of Nashville; brother Charles Kelley of Lawrence, Kansas, and devoted beagle “Jack.”

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City, conducted by Bro. Terry Boyd. Burial was in the Scott Cemetery in Kingston Springs. Family served as pallbearers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Esther Young.
She is survived by sons, Melvin (Jean) Wayne Young of Ashland City, Jerry (Imogene) Young of Antioch, Larry Young of Cottege Grove; daughters, Carol (Murray) Dozier of Nashville, Kathey (Gary) England of Portland, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Docie Elizabeth Brown, 67, Joelton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville.
She was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Decatur, Ala. She was the daughter of Orville and Elsie Elizabeth Holladay McDaniel. She was a homemaker.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
She was survived by daughters, Pam Mayo, Ashland City, Penny Hargrove, Joelton, Sandra Frey of Arizona; sons, Clyde Brown, Joelton, Joe Brown, Nashville, Donald Brown, Pegram, Jerry Brown, Nashville, Billy Brown, Joelton, Randall Brown, Ashland City, Terry Brown, Nashville, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Fortner, Nashville, Shelby Crook, White Bluff; brothers, Johnny McDaniel, Nashville and Jack McDaniel, Mich., Rico Daniels and Ricky Holladay.
