Bennie Robert Hollis, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Cheatham County Health Care Center in Ashland City.
Mr. Hollis was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the trucking industry.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Mike Dankson officiating. Burial was in the Smith-Neptune Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
He is survived by granddaughter, Tammy Evans of Ashland City; sisters, Alene Allen, Betty Demonbreum and Darlene (Dot) Noe, all of Ashland City; two great-grandchildren.

Pearl J. Hudgens
Pearl J. Hudgens, 70, died Nov. 17, 2002, in Joliet, Ill.
She was the widow of the late Ervin (Herb) Hudgens, formerly of Ashland City.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Hudgens Cemetery, Ashland City.
Cheatham County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Jennie Bell Reeves
Jennie Bell Reeves, 91, died Dec. 1, 2002.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was a wonderful influence for good in all their lives and will be missed very much.
Services were conducted by Bro. Terry Boyd at Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at 11 a.m. Burial was at Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Active pallbearers were Fred Boyd, Doug Boyd, Jimmy Ford, J. B. Newman, Alan Reeves and Mark Reeves.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William D. Reeves.
She is survived by one sister, Maggie Mullins of Detroit, Mich.; two sons, William H. Reeves (Robbie) and Charles G. Reeves (Patti); six grandchildren, Dianne Carpenter (Jeff), Vickie Greer, Steve Reeves (Jennifer), Karen Cox (Greg), Alan Reeves (Jamie) and Mark Reeves (Jill); six great-grandchildren, Alison Carpenter, Adrienne Carpenter, Amanda Greer, Zachary Cox, Joshua Cox and Caitlin Reeves. She also leaves a large family of nieces, nephews and many friends, all of who were very dear to her.

Dan Howard Schaeffer Jr.
Dan Howard Schaeffer Jr., 49, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at Baptist Hospital, Nashville.
He was employed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, State Capital Division, Nashville. He was a member of the Ashland City Church of Christ and a member of the Fire Department of Ashland City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam Conflict.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, in the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Mike Fox officiating. Burial followed in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City. Serving as pallbearers were members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol Division Department of Safety.
He is survived by his mother, Virginia Robinson of Naples, Fla.; father and stepmother, Howard (Catherine) Schaeffer of Bellville, Ill.; loving wife, Phyllis Schaeffer of Ashland City; sons, Tommy Schaeffer of Bellville, Ill., Danny (Emily) Schaeffer of Ashland City, and Jason Schaeffer of Ashland City; a daughter, Heather (Joshual) Williams of Ashland City; Allen Schaeffer of New Athens, Ill. and Danny Mulligan of Red Bud, Ill; two grandchildren Randall Johnson and Daniel Williams.

Dorothy Ruth Smith, 70, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at her home in Ashland City.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Boyd officiated. Burial was in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City. Pallbearers were Bobby Shrum, Rick Richardy, Thomas Crouch, Terry Pendleton, Mark Graves and Timothy Rediker. Honorary pallbearer: Dr. Reggie Anderson.
She is survived by daughter, Ruth Beckham, sons, Thomas Merritt, David Merritt, Jimmy Robertson, Clem Day, Roger Day, Elton Day, Elsie Lane and Cordy Day.

William Lee Tomlin
William Lee Tomlin, 24, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Brother Bart Pemberton will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cheatham Memorial Gardens in Pleasant View. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie (William) Dill of Ashland City; father, William A. Tomlin of Dover; a daughter, Bryonna Danielle Tomlin; a brother, Michael L. Childress of Ashland City.

Sue Ellen Chase
Sue Ellen Chase, 56, died in her home Friday, Dec. 13, 2002.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Ellis Funeral Home. Interment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ida and Vernon Hayes; sister, Lillie Williams and brother, Paul Wright.
She is survived by her husband, George Chase; daughters, Teresa Black, Shannon and Sherrie Ellis; sons, Billy and Richard Black, Ronald Fann; sisters, Mary Howard and Shirley Broyles; brothers, Vernon and Richard Hayes.
