Mary Aetna Cox, 61, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville. She was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Oak Grove, La., the daughter of William Freeman and Bessie Mae Phillips Pennington. She was a homemaker.
Services were held at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, with Cliett Goodpasture officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Burial was at Sycamore Chapel Cemetery, Pleasant View.
She is survived by husband, Basil Cox, Ashland City; daughters, Shirley Caudle, Ashland City, Yolanda Henry, Mt. Juliet; son, Joe Cox, Ashland City; mother, Bessie Pennington, Texas; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Brenda Stanton, Linda Platt, Martha Parkman, all of Texas; special people, Jacky Cox, Jerry Caudle, Don Henry, Betty Cerbera, Pete Cerbera; brothers, William Pennington, Richard Pennington, both of Texas.

Jeffery Lee Denson, 36, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Arthur Perea officiated. Burial was in the Cheatham Memorial Gardens in Pleasant View. Pallbearers were Junior Russell, Jimmy Cummings, Jerry Larkin, Michael Avans, Greg Waynick, Mark Ramirez.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Denson; son, Zachery Denson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Denson, all of Chapmansboro; stepson, Danny Calhoun of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; brother, Donnie Denson of White House; sisters, Diana Cummings of Nashville, Mellissa Russell of Chapmansboro, Tracy Robertson of Chapmansboro and Tonya Avans of South Carolina.

Sue Bradley Harris, 46, died Jan. 2, 2003.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.

Doris Lellie Heard, 75, Joelton, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002, at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville. She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Cunningham, the daughter of Allen C. and Tennie Mae Batson Harvey. She was retired from Ronco Chemicals.
Funeral services were held at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, with Bro. Steve Blackwell officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Cumberland Furnace.
She is survived by daughter, Mae Tipton; son, Jerry Hire, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Newell Harvey, Robert Harvey.

Orlinda "Lindy" Jewel Hampton
Orlinda "Lindy" Jewel Hampton, 44, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at her home in Greenbrier (Ridgetop).She was born March 17, 1958, in Ashland City, the daughter of Orian D. and Mai Demple Baker Methvin. She was in the Human Resources Department of the State of Tennessee. She was the wife of Charles E. Hampton.
Services were held at Anderson and Garrett Funeral Home, Joelton, Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, with Bro. Gene Brown officiating. Pallbearers: John M. Hampton Jr., Darrell Hampton, Damon Brown, Deron Brown, Matt Jacobs, Shaun Senn, Jim Tucker. Burial was in the Cheatham Memorial Gardens, Pleasant View.
She is survived by husband, Eddie Hampton, Greenbrier (Ridgetop); son, Joseph Edwin Hampton and fiance, Shauna Smartt, both of Hendersonville; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie Hampton and Matt Jacobs, Ashland City; father, Orian Methvin, Athens, Ala.; four grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Senn and Sarah Baggett, both of Ashland City; Crystal McCarver, Pleasant View.

Ronald Clayton Johnson
Ronald Clayton Johnson, 59, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Johnson, retired after 30 years of dedicated service with TEA, being in charge of the print/graphic arts shop teaching subsequent printers who came to work, as the shop expanded and eventually moved to the basement of the building in order to offer more services, will be missed by his friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Bro. David Jones officiated. Burial was in the Demonbreum Cemetery in Ashland City. Active pallbearers: Curtis Bennett, John Holder, Billy Don Morris, Tom Herlein, John Treadway, Mark Hightower, Ray Demonbreum and Barney Demonbreum.
He is survived by parents, Clayton and Irene Johnson of Ashland City and son, Ronald Keith Johnson of Ashland City.
