Hazel Haskins, 87, died Feb. 3, 2003.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2003, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at the Funeral Home. Bro. Vernon Barker will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert R. Haskins.
She is survived by sons, Charles T. Haskins, Timothy M. Haskins; daughters, Shirley H. Hudson, Betty L. Cummings; brother, Marvin Adcock; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Dorothy N. Hudgens
Dorothy Nell Hudgens, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church. Bro. Terry Forrest and Mike Danson officiated. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Brian Hudgens, Terry Hudgens, Jertemy Morris, Craig Hudgens, Danny Morris, Jimmy Binkley and Mike Reed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Hudgens.
She is survived by sons: James Hudgens of Mt. Juliet, Dale Hudgens of Hendersonville; daughters, Peggy Boyd of Ashland City, Linda Cantrell of Chapmansboro, Kathy Stewart of Clarksville, Sherry Howard of Chapmansboro and seven grandchildren.

Elsie M. Parrish
Elsie M. Parrish, 77, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at her home in Ashland City. She retired from Kroger where she worked for 19 years.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City. A special appreciation to Dr. Robert Rhea as Honorary Pallbearer for his care during her illness. Friends and family will serve as active pallbearers. Burial was in the Bradley Cemetery in Bethpage, her birthplace.
She is sadly missed by her daughter, Maragarite Dishman of Ashland City; her grandchildren, Leann Nichole Dishman, Mark Randall (Pam) Lee, great-grandchildren, J. Dale Balthrop, Gracie Palla, Harley and Waylon Lee, all of Ashland City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie M. Parrish, father, Odell M. Jackson, and mother, Bertha Meadows Jackson.

Issac Pursley
Issac (Ike) Pursley, 83, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Ashland City. Mr. Pursley was a farmer.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Cheatham County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial was at Blue Springs Cemetery. Friends served as pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elonza E. and Alice Frances Pursley.
He is survived by his dear friends, Elizabeth Binkley, Charlotte Napier, Randy Reeder, Northcrest Health Care workers, his friends at Hillcrest Nursing Center and several nieces and nephews.

William Loyd
William Loyd, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at his home. He was a retired sawmill worker.
He is survived by his son, William L. Smith Jr.; daughters, Daisy Hollis of Dickson, Peggy Cope of Ashland City; a sister, Mary Lucy Gupton of Clarksville, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home in Ashland City with Reverend Leon Edwards officiating. Burial followed in the Stewart Cemetery in Ashland City. Friends served as pallbearers.

Royce W. Steele
Royce W. Steele, 47, of Pleasant View, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, from the chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home, Ashland City, with Bro. Jerry Gaw officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation hours were Tuesday, from 12-8 p.m. and Wednesday, from 12-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compromise Care Center.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Nunley Steele, wife and mother of his children, LeAllen Steele; sons, William Franklin Smith of Bellevue, Elijah Jackson Steele; daughter, Micah Grace Steele of Bellevue; brother, Edward R. (Vickie) Steele of Ashland City; sister, Jane (Ronnie) Smith of Chapmansboro.
