BERNICE AHEARN, 77, of Teaneck died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church, Leonia. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary in Wood-Ridge. Arrangements: Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota.

DOROTHY M. ANASTASIUS, 78, of New Milford died Tuesday. She had been a bookkeeper for TKL Research, Paramus. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodcliff Lake. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

ROBERT E. BACKES, 53, of Wyckoff died Wednesday. He had owned Field Communications, Wayne, for 13 years. Previously, he worked for AT&T and New Jersey Bell Telephone for 22 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

MARY RENDZIO BERNATOWICZ, 100, of Clifton died Tuesday. She was born in Poland and came to the United States in 1920. She was a parishioner of St. John Kanty R.C. Church, Clifton. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

MARY J. CREEDON BROWN, 93, of Guttenberg died Wednesday. She was a member of the Golden Age Seniors Club, Guttenberg. Arrangements: Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.

JOHN F. BURGIN, 88, of Hopatcong, formerly of Paramus, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1968, he was a machinist for Curtiss-Wright Corp., Wood-Ridge, where he worked for 32 years. He was a former member of Community Church, Paramus. Arrangements: Olthuis Funeral Home, Midland Park.

MARY CAFASSO, 76, of West Paterson died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompei R.C. Church, Paterson. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, West Paterson.

ROY E. CAVANAUGH, 72, of Wyckoff died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1984, he was an engineer for the long lines division of AT&T in White Plains, N.Y., where he worked for 38 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a life member the National Garden Club, and a member and master councilor of the Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

WILLIAM J. CHAPMAN, 70, of Kinnelon died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1996, he was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years and was a member of Operating Engineers Union Local 85. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a former member of the Pequannock Lions Club. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

BEATRICE "SNOOKIE" THOMPSON COSENTINO, 82, of East Rutherford died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, and a member of its Mothers Club and Rosary Altar Society. Arrangements: Kimak Funeral Home, Carlstadt.

MYRON CRIMI, 71, of Clifton died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1989, he was a marketing and design executive for Avon Products Inc., New York City. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the National Chapter of the American Legion. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. He was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

JENNIE A. VITOLA D'ALESSIO of South Hackensack died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Hackensack. She was a member of the South Hackensack Senior Citizens and the Lady Foresters of America. Arrangements: J. Rocciola Funeral Home, Hackensack.

ANTOINETTE MARCONE DELLA FAVE, 87, of Carson City, Nev., formerly of North Bergen, died Sunday. She was born in Italy. Before retiring, she was a garment worker and a member of International Ladies' Garment Workers Union. She was a former president of the Democratic Club auxiliary and Terrace Seniors Building, both in North Bergen. She was a committeewoman in North Bergen. Arrangements: Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.

LORETTA KOWALSKI DOMANSKI, 85, of Wood-Ridge, formerly of Jersey City, died Wednesday. She was a parishioner of Assumption R.C. Church, Wood-Ridge. Arrangements: Kohler Funeral Home, Wood-Ridge.

ELIZABETH HANAK DOMKOFSKI, 81, of Elmwood Park died Tuesday. Before retiring, she was a self-employed accountant. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

HANA EHRENS, 82, of Trexlertown, Pa., formerly of Cresskill, died Saturday. She was a member of the National Audubon Society. Arrangements: Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus, Pa.

NANCY FORGIONE, 84, of Lincoln Park, formerly of Paterson, died Wednesday. She had been active in the Girl Scouts of America and was a former volunteer for the American Red Cross. Arrangements: M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

ROGER FORNEY, 62, of Magnolia, Ill., formerly of Franklin Lakes, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was an inspector for Howmedica, Rutherford. Arrangements: Ries-McKitrick & Newton Mortuary, Washburn, Ill.

ANTOINETTE BONSANTO GALLINA, 82, of Fort Lee, formerly of Cliffside Park and Englewood Cliffs, died Wednesday. She was a former parishioner of Epiphany R.C. Church, Cliffside Park, and St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken. Arrangements: Mc Corry Bros. Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

CHARLES R. HART, 76, of Hawthorne died Wednesday. Before retiring, he was a chiropractor in Pompton Lakes. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He attended Grace United Methodist Church, Wyckoff. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

JOSEPHINE HOFFMANN, 87, of Hillsdale, formerly of Wayne, died Wednesday. She had been a secretary for Singer-Kearfott Corp. in Wayne. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

OLGA OLSEN HOLMAN, 88, of Boxford, Mass., formerly of Bogota, died Monday. Arrangements: H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, Haverhill-Bradford, Mass.

SARAH JOHNSON, 90, of Westwood died Tuesday. She was a graduate of New York University. She was past grand matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been a volunteer at Pascack Valley Hospital, Westwood. Arrangements: Wien & Wien, Hackensack.

ERNEST LUCKY, 55, of Paterson died Nov. 22. He was a machine operator for Architectural Windows Corp., Maywood. Arrangements: LaGarde Family Funeral Home, Clifton.

IRIS F. FLEMING OBSHARSKY, 86, of Houston, formerly of Montvale, died Sunday. Before retiring, she worked in the administration department of the Burroughs Corp. in Park Ridge. She also was a nurse and a midwife for 30 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, and a member of its Bible Study Group. Arrangements: Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

OWEN R. O'SHAUGHNESSY, 89, of Marco Island, Fla., formerly of Cresskill, died Monday. Before retiring, he worked in the mortgage department of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., New York City, for 44 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.

ANTHONY PARNOFIELLO, 84, of Rutherford died Tuesday. Before retiring, he was a design engineer for Bendix Corp., Teterboro. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Church, Rutherford. He was active in the Cub Scouts and Little League in Rutherford. Arrangements: Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, Rutherford.

IGNATIUS TAORMINA, 77, of Ballston Spa, N.Y., formerly of Lodi, died Wednesday. Before retiring in 1990, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lodi. He had been a Cub Scout leader in Lodi. Arrangements: Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi.
