The most loved and cherished wife of Glenn Cribbs and most adored, loved and treasured mother of Lisa Cribbs and her fiance Mark Whitcomb, Kimberly Wrenn and her husband Kevin, Melanie Gallardo and her husband Aaron, and loving grandmother of
Hannah Wrenn and Ethan Wrenn. Her love, compassion and kindness affected everyone who met her. Through God's grace and mercy, she glorified and honored Him all the days of her life by loving her family, relatives, friends and anyone who entered her life at any time. She was a wonderful source of love, kindness, support and nurturing. Her memory will live on forever through the goodness and unconditional love that made her an example of how God wants His children to live out their lives in this world. Although we hurt very much we know she is with the Lord Jesus Christ and is loving and being loved with Him in his kingdom. The angels are rejoicing.

1998 - WARREN CRIBBS, 67, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at a Wichita Falls hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Strange and the Rev. Ron Fox officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery.
Mr. Cribbs was born May 7, 1931, in Chillicothe, Texas. He and Patsy Deen Davis were married in 1954 in Childress. He was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He served in the Navy in the early 1950s as a diesel mechanic. He was a retired miller at Vernon Cellanese Plant. He was a longtime resident of Wilbarger and Hardeman counties. He was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Warren Cribbs of Childress; two daughters, Sherry Torres of Oklaunion, Texas, and Katra Blacksher of Vernon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will be at the Augusta Apartments No. 223 in Vernon.

1999 - LUZELL CRIBBS, 92, of Ralls, Texas, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1999, in a Ralls, Texas, nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastview Cemetery of Vernon with the Rev. John Lowrey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cribbs was born Aug. 20, 1906, in Decatur, Texas. She and Clifford Robert Cribbs were married Jan. 25, 1925, in Crowell, Texas. He died March 6, 1974. She moved to Wilbarger County with her family in 1922 from Decatur. She had been a resident of Ralls since 1991 and was a member of First Baptist Church. Her son, Robert Ray Cribbs, died in 1935.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Bruington of Petersburg, Texas; two sons, M.J. and Wayne N., both of Seattle; a sister, Mary Jo Stokes of San Antonio; a brother, John Fred Belew Jr. of Vernon; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was born March 16, 1949, in Fulton, Ky. An associate in the gaming industry, she was a resident of Las Vegas.

1998 - BEULAH MOSELY CRIBBS, 93, died Dec. 20 at Memorial Medical Center. She was a native of Evans County and the widow of Elliott Cribbs. She was owner and operator of Ide-A-While Apartments at Tybee Island for 48 years, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She had served as the church hostess and was very active in the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a member of Amity Chapter, No. 183, Order of the Eastern Star, the Demolay Mothers Club and American Business and Professional Women.

1999 - EDNA CROTHERS CRIBBS, 75, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, died at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 1999, in Manor Care of McMurray. She was born March 9, 1924, in Johnstown, a daughter of Chester and Anna Wagner Hitchew. Mrs. Cribbs was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Canonsburg. 1994 - ESTHER E. CRIBBS, 94, of Tuscarawas, Ohio, sister of a Dunlap resident, died Friday, July 1, 1994, at Morning View Care Center in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 15, 1899, in Graceham, Md., to Maurice and Bertha Tietze Oerter, she married Elmer L. Cribbs. He died March 10, 1968. She also was preceded in death by one brother and one half sister.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Janice) Bragg of Dunlap and Mrs. William (Jeanne) Shaw of Bedford Heights, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

2000 - ESSIE HUDSON CRIBBS, 90, of Davenport [FL], died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Highland Lake Center in Lakeland.
She was a native of Washington County, who came to the area from Eaton Park, in 1947. Prior to retirement, she was a sales clerk for the Pelow Hardware Store in Haines City. She was of the Baptist faith.

2000 - JESSE F. CRIBBS, 83, died Dec. 24 at home.
He was a native of Wayne County [Georgia]. He was a member of the Jesup Church of God and was a retired agent with Independent Life and Accident Insurance Co.
SURVIVORS: four daughters, Pat Hammond of Gaffney, S.C., Sharon Ezell and Marilyn Roberson, both of Milledgeville, and Vicki Cribbs of Opa-Locka, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Highsmith of Dublin; two stepsons, Ralph L. Ogden of Madison and Sandy James of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; five sisters, Pearl Ogden of Plantation, Fla., Josey Strickland of Phenix City, Ala., Ida Brown of Jesup, Ada Aspinwall of Odum, and Beulah Floyd of Jacksonville, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

2000 - JOHN WILLIAM CRIBBS, 81, of Charleston [South Carolina], a retired civil engineer with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, died Monday at his residence. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in McAlister-Smith's Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cribbs was born in Georgia, a son of William J. Cribbs and Lena E. Johnson Jones. He was a graduate of Georgia schools. He was a former police officer with the city of Charleston. He was Baptist.

2000 - LOIS O. CRIBBS, 80, died April 26 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
She was born in McIntosh County and lived in Glennville and Claxton for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church in Glennville and retired from Claxton Manufacturing after 40 years of service.
SURVIVORS: a son, William S. Cribbs Jr. of Claxton; a brother, J.G. Rozier of Ludowici; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Kelly and Jeff Odom of Glennville and Stacy Rubner of Mechanicsville, Iowa; six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

2000 - MRS. MILEY LUCILLE CRIBBS of Plant City died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) in Plant City. She was 89.
Born in Mitchell County, Ga., on June 15, 1911, she came to Plant City from Thomasville, Ga., 85 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cribbs. She is survived by her sons, William Cribbs, Harvey Cribbs, both of Plant City, Ralph Cribbs, Eden, N.C., Curtis Cribbs, Golden Meadow, La.; daughter, Wanda Miesh-buhler, Plant City; brother, Jeff Williams, Plant City; sister, Doris Leary, Sandbell Island; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

2000 - ARTHUR C. CRIBBS, 75, of Freeland, Mich., died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at his home. He was born March 3, 1925, in Greensburg, a son of the late Christopher and Florence KEENER Cribbs. Prior to retirement, he was a computer analyst for the U.S. government. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the V.F.W. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice E. HASTINGS Cribbs, in 1995; a brother, James H. Cribbs; and a sister, Mary Louise. DUMAS - Ernest Cribbs, 79, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, in Winslow, Ariz.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hartley Cemetery at Hartley with the Rev. Mike Venable, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hartley, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mr. Cribbs was an electronics technician for the National Weather Service. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war.
Survivors include his wife, Montie Jean Cribbs of Winslow; two sons, Randall Michael Cribbs and Donald Cribbs, both of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a daughter, Carla Baber of Flagstaff; three brothers, Dale Cribbs and Roy Cribbs, both of Oklahoma and Jimmy Cribbs of Washington; a sister, June Verrett of Michigan; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

1992 - ALICE HASTINGS CRIBBS, 64, a retired medical secretary, died of complications of diabetes Sept. 18 at Sibley Memorial Hospital. A resident of the Washington area since 1961, she lived in Temple Hills.
Mrs. Cribbs worked at George Washington University Medical Center from 1972 to 1982. Earlier, she was a clerical worker for the Prince George's County Board of Education.
Mrs. Cribbs was born in Wheeling, W.Va. She attended Seaton Hill College, Prince George's County Community College and the University of Maryland.
She was president of the Prince George's County Federation of Women's Clubs and the Oxon Hill and Camp Springs Women's clubs. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts and worked as a fund-raiser for Greater Southeast Community Hospital, and was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oxon Hill.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Arthur Cribbs of Temple Hills; five children, Dr. David H. Cribbs of Annapolis, Charles C. Cribbs of Chesapeake Beach, Md., Gordan A. 2002 - ADELLE KENMAR CRIBBS BURCHAM, of Glen, Miss., died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss. A native of Logtown, Miss., she and Hughie E. Burcham Sr. had been married for 64 years at the time of his death in July 1989. They had lived in Glen since 1935. Mrs. Burcham's family said she a homemaker and devoted to her family and many friends and was concerned for the good of her neighbors. She enjoyed gardening and canning and she was active in her community. She had an active interest in current events and had voted in every election. She was an avid reader of good literature and her Bible. Her family also said she loved animals, birds and the unfortunate and regarded friends and children as life's greatest treasure. Mrs. Burcham is survived by her daughter, Wanza Burcham Wingo and her husband, Cecil, of Oak Ridge; two sons, Huie E. Burcham Jr. and his wife, Lila, of Counce, Tenn., and Karey Burcham of Farmington, N.M.; one sister, Keron Boctic of Satillo, Miss.; and four grandchildren, Corinne B. Pryor and her husband, John, of Columbia, S.C., Cathy B. Taylor and Nancy B. Stults and her husband, Thomas, all of Memphis, and Cheryl Wingo Chatham of Cordova. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Lela Bernice Burcham, who died Feb. 10, 1928, at the age of 20 days, and Margaret Sue Burcham, who died March 25, 1941, at the age of 7. Everett Cullen Cribbs was born May 1, 1913, in Coleman, Johnston County, OK to Elbert Cullen and Brunette Irene (Griffin) Cribbs. He married Bernice Christine Warden, daughter of Samuel W. Warden and Minnie K. DeSpain, on April 18, 1938, in Altus, OK. He farmed and later became a paint and drywall contractor until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and children. Babies especially delighted him. He was an active member of the Altus Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for the past sixty-nine years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Osbon Ennis Cribbs. 2002 - PEARL LEE CRIBBS - Pearl Lee Cribbs passed away peacefully with her family at her side on August 5, 2002. Pearl was born January 24, 1911 in Oklahoma and has been a resident of Antioch for 72 years. She was a cook for Delta Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. Pearl was a member of The Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Brentwood, the Eastern Star & the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending time with her family. Pearl is survived by her daughter Peggy Cribbs, son-in-law Jack Harrison, grandchildren: Margaret Dean, Karen (John) Simarro and Jack Harrison, and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her nephew & caregiver Richard Reeves who her family would like to extend a special thank you for the care he gave to her and niece Geneva Del Rosa for her daily visits and special attention to Pearl. 2002 - ELIZABETH "BETTY" PONDY CRIBBS - INDIANA, PA — Elizabeth "Betty" Pondy Cribbs, 87, of Indiana, formerly of Black Lick, died Saturday, May 18, 2002, in her home. She was born in Elyria, Ohio, Nov. 20, 1914, a daughter of Albert and Flora Dohanos Pondy. Mrs. Cribbs lived many years in Black Lick before moving to Indiana. She was a member of Blairsville Chapter 166 Order of the Eastern Star and the Blairsville Quota Club. She is survived by her son, Ralph Cribbs, Homer City; two daughters: Sheila Jorgenson and husband, Pete, Clarksburg, and Elaine Rizza and husband, Tony, McMurray; a brother, Julius Pondy and wife, Dorothy, Grafton, Oh.; seven grandchildren: Bonnie Halle and husband, Tom; Benjamin Cribbs and wife, Amy; Rob Jorgenson; Jon Jorgenson and wife, Sherri; Dan Jorgenson and wife, Billi Jo; Sam Cribbs; and Laura Cribbs; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cribbs was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Ralph "Ben" Cribbs, in 1992; her brother, Albert Pondy; and two sisters, Jane Bogart and Helen Liszak. 2002 - JOHN C. "JACK" CRIBBS - INDIANA, PA — John C. ``Jack'' Cribbs, 68, of Jeannette, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, in the VA Medical Center in Aspinwall. He was born Dec. 5, 1933, in Jeannette, a son of the late John A. and Emma Beck Cribbs. He was Protestant by faith. He had been employed by Ferri's Market and Shop 'N Save in Murrysville. He graduated from Jeannette High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Jack was an active member of the Greensburg YMCA and was for many years a member of the Greensburg YMCA Masters Swim Team. Over the years, Jack participated not only in local swim meets, but also in the Allegheny Mountain YMCA Masters Swimming Association's annual championship meet. Jack was not only active with the Masters Swim Team but helped each year with the Greensburg YMCA Annual Autumn Invitational by distributing results for the day's competition. He is survived by his niece, Gwenn Marie Cribbs Weyandt and her husband, Doug, of Derry; a nephew, Wade L. Cribbs Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of St. Clairsville, Ohio; the following grandnieces and grandnephews: Dillon Stolitca, Daniel Weyandt, Stephanie Cribbs and Benjamin Cribbs; his sister-in-law, Marie Cribbs-Stolitca and her husband, Dave, of Greensburg; a special friend, Ange Orange who ``looked after'' Jack following his mother's death; a brother, Wade L. Cribbs Sr. of South Carolina; and of course his constant companion Boston Terrier, ``Bo.'' Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He owned and operated Haverd Cribbs Fuel Oil and retired in 1987 after 29 1/2 years of employment with Quality Petroleum American Oil Company. Mr. Cribbs was a faithful member and Deacon of The Turkey Creek First Baptist Church. 2001 - RONALD "RON" ROY CRIBBS - CRIBBS Ronald (Ron) Roy Cribbs, age 46, died Monday, November 26, 2001, in an Oklahoma City hospital after a short illness. He was born July 1, 1955, in Pampa, Texas, to Roy C. and Fabrice Carter Cribbs. He grew up in Mustang and attended Mustang Schools and was a graduate of Yukon High School. Ron had been a general contractor, an electrical contractor, a real estate broker, managed a mental health treatment center and was presently manager and administrator of Sycamore Square Assisted Living Center in Mustang. He was a Methodist and was greatly loved by all who knew him and his passing has left a great empty place in the hearts of all who loved him. He is survived by his parents, Roy and Fabrice Cribbs of Mustang; his fiancee, Ginger Bills of Mustang; two daughters, Rachael Cribbs of Mustang and Sara Cribbs of Houston, Texas.
