LOUISE SWANN GARNETTE ARTIS, 71, of Paterson died Saturday. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Paterson. She was a member of North Jersey Community Coordinated Child Care Inc. and was a foster parent for the Division of Youth and Family Services. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

PETER BARCELONA, 70, of Newton, formerly of Lodi, died Monday. He had been a chef for the Sussex County Homestead in Frankford Township. Previously, he owned Barcelona's Restaurant, Lodi. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church, Garfield. Arrangements: Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.

JOHN W. BELL, 73, of Wood-Ridge died Monday. Before retiring in 1985, he was a machinist for Public Service Electric and Gas Co. for 38 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 853. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post 69 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3149, both in Carlstadt, and the Marine Corps League in Nutley. Arrangements: Nazare Memorial Home, Lyndhurst.

ELIZABETH CALABRESE, 96, of Demarest died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of St. Ann R.C. Church, Nyack, N.Y. Arrangements: Hannemann Funeral Home, Nyack.

CARL A. CHINNI, 89, of Hollywood, Fla., formerly of Lodi, died Sunday. Before retiring, he owned Mary Ann Specialty Shop, Union City. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

DOROTHY CLAY, 87, of Toms River, formerly of Bergenfield, died Thursday. She was a member of Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Bergenfield, and the Sunshine Club. Arrangements: Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.

JOSEPHINE LaTERRA CRAI, 87, of Fairview, formerly of North Bergen, died Tuesday. Before retiring, she was a point maker for Tungston Contact Co., North Bergen. She was the acting president of Monsignor John A. Stafford Fourth Degree Assembly auxiliary. Arrangements: Leber Funeral Home, Union City.

MARIE K. KIESSLING DALY, 78, of Hawthorne died Sunday. Before retiring, she was a secretary for Adm. James Forrestal at the Pentagon in Washington. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge. Arrangements: Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

KEVIN DOWD, 48, of Hanson, Mass., formerly of New Milford, died Monday. He had owned New Cycle Inc., Hanson. He was a graduate of Boston University, where he received a master's degree in business administration. Arrangements: Boulevard Funeral Home, New Milford.

NINA GALL, 77, of Fair Lawn died Tuesday. She had been a doctor in Russia. She was a member of Congregation Bris Avrohom, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

WALTER L. HIGINSON JR., 76, of Hillsdale died Monday. He had been a mechanic for the borough of Hillsdale for 26 years. He was an exempt member of the Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

JOHN W. HORSKEY, 84, of Pompton Lakes died Monday. Before retiring, he was a machinist for Van Glanderan, Paterson. Previously, he worked for De Grays Farm in Bergen County. He was a member of St. Mary Episcopal Church, Haledon. Arrangements: Moore's Home for Funerals, Wayne.

RAYMOND E. LaBOEUF, 84, of Pompton Plains died Monday. Before retiring in 1980, he was a marine insurance underwriter for Home Insurance Co., Short Hills. Previously, he was a partner in LaBoeuf and Gaffney Insurance Co., Pompton Plains. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Reformed Church and a life member of Engine Co. 1, both in Pompton Plains. He was past president of the Pequannock Valley Rotary. Arrangements: M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains.

ANTOINETTE TRIVIGNA LATTIMER of Ridgefield Park died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

MARY E. TAGGART LONGERNECKER, 67, of Dumont died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1998, she was an office manager for Dr. Jaffe & Dr. Stern in Bergenfield. Previously, she was a clerk for Verizon in Teaneck, where she worked for 22 years. Arrangements: Frech Funeral Home, Dumont.

JOSEPHINE MacDONALD, 90, of Hasbrouck Heights died Monday. She was born in Canada. Before retiring, she was an administrative assistant for Burlington Mills Industries, New York City. Arrangements: Leber Funeral Home, Union City.

ETHEL STENKEN MADISON, 91, of Jersey City died Monday. She had been a legal secretary for Carter, Ledyard & Milburn, New York City. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.

CAROLINE COOPER MOJSL, 83, Jackson, formerly of Saddle Brook, died Sunday. She had been a purchasing agent for the ShopRite supermarket in Clifton. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

VERONICA BANACKI O'CONNOR, 78, of Ringwood died Monday. She had been a nurse. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine R.C. Church, Ringwood. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Wanaque.

MARY CARVALLARO POLIZZOTTO, 83, of Passaic died Monday. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Hasbrouck Heights. Arrangements: Marrocco Memorial Chapel, Colfax Avenue, Clifton.

CECELIA YEGOROW POLITY, 100, of Wilmington, N.C., formerly of Teaneck, died Sunday. She was born in Russia. She was a member of St. Mark Episcopal Church and the Woman's Club, both in Teaneck. Arrangements: Volk-Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck.

LEON ROSENKRANTZ, 75, of Fair Lawn died Monday. He had been a print operator for Bergen Community College, Paramus. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Temple Beth Sholom, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

GENEVIEVE RYCZKO, 85, of Rutherford, formerly of Wallington, died Monday. Before retiring in 1982, she was a machine operator assembler for Gera Mill Co., Passaic. Previously, she worked for Parker-Kalon Co., Clifton. She was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 359, Passaic. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Wallington. Arrangements: Kamienski Funeral Home, Wallington.

JAMES H. SAVAGE, 81, of Montgomery, Ala., formerly of Ho-Ho-Kus, died Friday. Before retiring, he was a personnel director for A&P Co., where he worked for 47 years. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Luke R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus. Arrangements: C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

RUTH E. TALLMAN, 92, of Manahawkin, formerly of Teaneck, died Monday. Before retiring 30 years ago, she was a secretary for Mercedes-Benz in Teaneck. Arrangements: Volk Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck.

HAROLD L. TASMAN, 80, of Montvale died Monday. Before retiring, he was a machinist for Ferris Engineering, Palisades Park, where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Park Ridge Elks Club. Arrangements: Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge.

LOUIS A. TERRANOVA, 82, of Manchester, formerly of North Bergen, died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1975, he was a detective for the North Bergen Police Department, where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member the New Jersey Police Department's Honor of Legion and the New Jersey State Policeman's Benevolent Association. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Our Lady of Libra R.C. Church, West New York, and the Knights of Columbus in North Bergen. Arrangements: O'Brien Funeral Home, Brick.

LeROY TOWNSEND of West Milford died Monday. He had been a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Newfoundland. He was past president of the Chamber of Commerce and served as a special policeman, both in West Milford. Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.

STELLA M. TURRILL, 60, of Bogota died Friday. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Teaneck. Arrangements: Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota.

SCOTT UR, 37, of Saddle Brook died Sunday. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Passaic. Arrangements: Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.

JANIE MACKEY WATTS, 91, of Passaic died Saturday. She was a member of William Chapel AME Zion Church, Passaic, and its Women's Home, Overseas Missionary Society, and Seniors. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Passaic.

JEANNE JAASMA WHITE, 68, of Little Falls died Tuesday. Before retiring nine years ago, she was a sergeant at the Passaic County Jail, where she worked for 25 years and was a member of the Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 197, Paterson. Arrangements: Gaita Memorial Home, Little Falls.

ROBERT M. WISLOCKY, 56, of Union City died Monday. He had been a truck driver. He was a member of the St. Joseph Men's Club, Union City. Arrangements: Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
