JOHN L. BECHTOLD of Little Falls died Friday. Before retiring in 1996, he was director of safety and security at Pascack Valley Hospital, Westwood, where he worked for 11 years. Previously, he was a police officer for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was a member of the Policemen's Benevolent Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls. Arrangements: Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, Little Falls.

AUGUST P. BERNARD, 86, of Palisades Park, formerly of Leonia, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was an expediter for Charter Fabrics, Carlstadt. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 1, Leonia. He was a parishioner of St. John R.C. Church, Leonia. Arrangements: Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.

ERNEST BIGGS, 85, of Holiday, Fla., formerly of Paterson, died May 26. Before retiring, he was a captain with the Paterson Fire Department. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Arrangements: Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa.

GISELA BILLOVITS, 88, of Vero Beach, Fla., formerly of Wayne, died Tuesday. She was born in Austria. She was a parishioner of St. Helen R.C. Church, Vero Beach. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

MARGARET RUBISCH CONK, 97, of Paramus, formerly of Hoboken, died Friday. Before retiring, she was a clerical worker for the city of Hoboken. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Visitation R.C. Church, Paramus, and a charter member of the Paramus Senior Pioneers. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

AUDREY P. FRAPAUL DAVIS, 80, of Hackensack died May 26. She had owned and served as corporate secretary of Frapaul Construction Co., Lincoln Park, for 35 years. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Hackensack. She was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club and the Bogota High School Alumni Association. Arrangements: Trinka-Faustini Funeral Home, Maywood.

NINO G. ESPOSITO, 56, of Lodi died Thursday. He had worked in the plant operations department of Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was employed for 16 years. Arrangements: Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.

ADELE C. RUGGIERO FERRUZZI, 91, of Fair Lawn died Saturday. She was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Paterson, and a member of the Fair Lawn Senior Club and AARP. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

MARY T. POLICASTRO FLORIO, 74, of Ridgefield Park died Saturday. Before retiring in 1990, she was a teller for First Union Bank in Ridgefield Park, where she worked for 20 years. She was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

EMILIE OPPINGERE FUCHS, 80, of Manchester Township, formerly of Saddle Brook, died Friday. Before retiring, she was a machine operator for Reever Plastics, Little Ferry. She was a former member of First Reformed Church, Saddle Brook. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.

JUDD HAMLIN, 89, of Hawthorne died Friday. Before retiring, he was founder and co-owner of Judd Hamlin Service Corp., Hawthorne, for 23 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was past president of the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 251. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

MURIEL FISHER IRVING, 71, of Hawthorne died Saturday. Before retiring in 1992, she was an assembler for Datascope, Paramus. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Hawthorne. Arrangements: Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne.

GUY A. JORDAN, 59, of Florence, S.C., formerly of Carlstadt, died Friday. He had been chief executive officer of Jordan and Sons Plumbing. He was a member of Boilers Union Local 105, Contractors 2000, and the Carlstadt Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements: Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence.

ANN MARIE DELLI BOVIE KELLY, 39, of Fair Lawn died Thursday. She had been an accounts payables and receivables clerk for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Wayne. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

CARYL KENT, 83, of North Bergen died Monday. Before retiring in 1984, she was a fashion designer for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in New York City. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.

DIANE LaMORTE, 68, of Fort Lee, formerly of Englewood, died Friday. She had been secretary to movie producer Mike Todd. She was a member of the Rockefeller Players Theater Group, Englewood. Arrangements: Ippolito Stellato Funeral Home, Fairfield.

ERNA L. BECHER LEUTGEB, 91, of Tenafly died May 26. She was born in Germany and came to the United States in 1929. She had worked at the Elizabeth Morrow School in Englewood. Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

GUSTAV J. LEVENDUSKY, 75, of Clifton died Friday. Before retiring, he was a customer service representative for Putnam Berkeley Publishing, East Rutherford. Previously, he was a reporter for the Paterson Evening News, where he worked for 15 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Passaic, and a member of its choir and Colping Society. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Van Houten Avenue, Clifton.

ANTHONY MANZO, 67, of Toms River, formerly of New City, N.Y., died Friday. Before retiring in 1994, he was a driver for Pechter-Fields Bakery. He had served in the New York National Guard. He had been a parishioner of St. Augustine R.C. Church, New City. Arrangements: Higgins Funeral Home, New City.

WILLIAM D. MARQUARDT, 48, of Paterson died Saturday. He had owned Stephen's Cafe, North Bergen. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, Paterson, and a member and past vice president of the Eastside Neighborhood Association. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

MARGARETHA M. KRAUSE McGUIRE, 77, of Lincoln Park, formerly of Rutherford, died Friday. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lyndhurst. Arrangements: Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst.

EILEEN P. PICKELL McSHERRY, 84, of Fair Lawn died Saturday. Before retiring, she was an accountant for Toys "R'' Us, Paramus. She was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

ELLSWORTH "AL" MORGAN of Rockingham, N.C., formerly of Ridgewood, died Friday. He had owned Morgan's Sunoco, Glen Rock. Arrangements: Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

BARBARA S. GILBERT MURPHY, 54, of Bergenfield died Thursday. She had been a bookkeeper at the Dumont Mental Health Center. Arrangements: Nesbitt Funeral Home, Englewood.

FRED PFORTE, 93, of Newburgh, N.Y., formerly of Carlstadt, died Friday. Arrangements: Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, Rutherford.

WALTER RANDA, 62, of Wood-Ridge died Thursday. He was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States in 1961. Before retiring last year, he was a locksmith for Superior Interlock Corp., Queens. PAUL J. RUSSELL, 74, of Paramus, formerly of Teaneck, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a mechanic for Otis Elevator Co., New York City. He was an Army veteran.
