MARIETTA REMIA BALDI, 99, of Waldwick died Saturday. She was a parishioner of St. Luke R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus. Arrangements: Van Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, Ramsey.

ADELINA "LEE" BRUGALETTA, 91, of Wayne, formerly of Haledon, died Monday. She was a parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park, and a member of its Rosary Society. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

DOMENICA "MAMIE" RAIA CARAVELLA, 95, of Garfield died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrow R.C. Church, Garfield, and a member of its Rosary Society. Arrangements: Marrocco Memorial Chapel, Colfax Avenue, Clifton.

FRANK CARLUCCI, 94, of Lodi died Tuesday. Before retiring, he was a custodian for the Wood-Ridge Board of Education for 15 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Lodi. Arrangements: Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.

CORA E. DAYSPRING, 83, of Paterson died Monday. Arrangements: Aquino Colonial Funeral Home, Paterson.

GARY FAIRCHILD, 42, of Wayne died Tuesday. Arrangements: Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa.

ANNA M. FLAHERTY of Palisades Park died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1971, she worked for The New York Bank for Savings for 41 years. She was a member of the Woman's Club 9th District, the Sierra Club Foundation, Nature Conservancy, the National Audubon Society, and the Wilderness Society. Arrangements: Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.

GIZELLA BAJO GAZDAYKA, 86, of Fair Lawn died Saturday. Before retiring in 1983, she worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Hackensack for 20 years. She was a member of Hungarian Reformed Church, Passaic, and its Calvin Adult Fellowship. She also was a member of the Fair Lawn Seniors and its Friday Social Club. Arrangements: Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, Lexington Avenue, Clifton.

JOSEPH P. GILSENAN, 68, of Bushkill, Pa., formerly of Ridgewood, died Thursday. He was a retired Realtor. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel R.C. Church, Saddle River. Arrangements: Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood.

SARAH J. "SALLY" GORST, 99, of Norwood died Tuesday. She was past vice president of the Norwood Senior Citizens and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Arrangements: Moritz Funeral Home, Closter.

STEINAR GUNDERSEN, 81, of Shokan, N.Y., formerly of River Vale, died Monday. He had been a master craftsman, builder, and developer in Bergen County. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Evangelical Free Church, Montvale, and Wesleyan Community Church, Shokan. Arrangements: Lasher Funeral Home, Woodstock, N.Y.

JASON M. KRESKY, 28, of Englewood died Monday. Arrangements: Wien & Wien, Hackensack.

ANTOINETTE MARINARO LoPRESTO, 90, of North Bergen died Tuesday. She was born in Italy. Arrangements: Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.

COLUMBA "ELEANOR" SARACINO LUCKHARDT, 92, of Cliffside Park died Monday. Before retiring, she was a private seamstress. She was past president of the American Legion auxiliary and the Unico auxiliary, both in Fairview. She was a member of the Fort Lee chapter of the Deborah Heart and Lung Association. She also was a member of the Senior Citizens Group and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, both of Epiphany R.C. Church, Cliffside Park. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Fairview. Arrangements: A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

NANCY LOWE McBRIDE, 82, of Englewood and Norfolk, Conn., died Saturday. She was a graduate of Smith College. She was a former trustee of the Dwight School and president of its alumni association. She was past president of the Englewood Garden Club, former chairwoman of AFS International, and a member of the Woman's Association of First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League, and the Palisades Nature Association. She also was a Red Cross volunteer and a Girl Scout leader. Arrangements: Barrett Funeral Home, Tenafly.

CATHERINE M. LEVEN MENDE, 76, of West New York died Tuesday. Before retiring, she was a sales representative for the Kress 5&10 in West New York. Arrangements: Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.

AL C. NEFF, 74, of Ramsey died Sunday. He was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Ramsey. Arrangements: Van-Emburgh-Sneider Funeral Home, Ramsey.

ANNA KOCH OLSEN, 63, of Bernards Township, formerly of Hackensack, River Edge, and Paramus, died Sunday. She was an office manager for Hudson Paving Co. and previously for Merrill Lynch Inc. Arrangements: Direct Cremations, Paterson.

LOUIS D. PEPE, 81, of Rutherford, formerly of Jersey City, died Monday. Before retiring, he was an inspector for the New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles, where he worked for 25 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rutherford. Arrangements: Macagna-Diffily Funeral Home, Rutherford.

BEN POPLAWSKI, 86, of Fair Lawn died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1981, he was a stationary engineer for Fordham University in the Bronx. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and also served in the merchant marine. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 281, Fair Lawn. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Fair Lawn.

EDWARD V. PROSKEY, 76, of Oakland died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1986, he owned Ponds Sporting Goods, Oakland. He was founder and past president of the Oakland Rod & Gun Club. Arrangements: Oakland Memorial Home.

EDWARD G. RODRICK SR., 59, of Gaithersburg, Md., formerly of Westwood, died Monday. He had been an engineer for the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, Md. He was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

BARBARA J. RUHREN, 70, of Andover Township, formerly of Park Ridge, died Monday. She had been a cashier for Ingersoll-Rand Corp., Montvale. She was active with the American Cancer Society and was a volunteer at Zion Lutheran Church, Westwood. Arrangements: Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing.

PATSY T. SANZARI, 79, of Emerson died Monday. Before retiring in 1989, he was a truck driver for St. Joe Paper Co., South Hackensack, and a member of Teamsters Local 560, Union City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Assumption R.C. Church, Emerson. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

SEBATANO SCIACCA, 65, of Paterson died Tuesday. He was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1984. Before retiring, he was a construction worker. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony R.C. Church, Paterson. Arrangements: Della Torre Funeral Home, Paterson.

ANTHONY T. SULINSKI, 79, of Elmwood Park died Tuesday. Before retiring in 1991, he was a machinist for Mosler Co., Wayne, where he worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn, and a member of its Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus Council 2853. He was a member of the Rockaway Bass Masters. Arrangements: Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.

JOSEPHINE TRENTACOSTA VAUGHAN, 79, of Saddle Brook died Tuesday. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Saddle Brook and AARP. Arrangements: Santangelo Funeral Home, Lodi.

JOSEPH F. VERDI, 75, of Lakewood, formerly of Emerson, Lodi, and New Milford, died Monday. He had owned Verdi Real Estate, Emerson. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a former Emerson councilman and police commissioner. Arrangements: Aaron Cremation Associates, Whiting.

GEORGE C. WALTERS, 79, of Rutherford died Saturday. He had been a security guard at Passaic General Hospital. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Rutherford, and its Usher Board. Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Passaic.

GEORGE F. WOERTZ SR., 88, of Lyndhurst died Monday. Before retiring in 1994, he was a building inspector for the Township of Lyndhurst. He had also been a plumbing inspector for Hackensack, Rutherford, Nutley, and Lyndhurst. He was a retired exempt fireman for Lyndhurst Fire Department Truck Company 1. He was co-founder of the Junior Baseball League and was active in the Lyndhurst Little League. He was a past president of the Lyndhurst Homing Pigeon Club. Arrangements: Nazare Memorial Home, Lyndhurst.

CLEMENS R. YURKIEWICZ of Lyndhurst died Oct. 20. He was a butcher for A&P supermarkets. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Arrangements: Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst.

IRENE MILLER ZAINO, 88, of Saddle Brook died Tuesday. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Saddle Brook. Arrangements: Dangler Funeral home, Morris Plains.

MARIE L. ZAKARIAN of Hasbrouck Heights died Monday. Before retiring in 1998, she was a secretary for Feldner Cadillac, Hackensack. She was a member of Armenian Presbyterian Church, Paramus, and its choir. Arrangements: Frank A. Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, Fort Lee.
