Susan A. Kapcar
Services for Susan A. Kapcar, 89, of Elyria, will be Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. at the Laubenthal Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church.
The Rev. Charles Ryba will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Kapcar died Saturday morning at St. John and West Shore Hospital, Westlake, after a long illness.
Born in Cleveland, she was an Elyria resident many years.
She was a member of St. Agnes Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Gaillard of Charlotte, N.C.; sons, William and Michael, both of Elyria; five grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband. Michael G. in 1980, and a grandson, Bill Kapcar.
Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where rosary services will be conducted at 8 p.m.
Clyde T. Sanner Jr.
Clyde T. Sanner Jr., 37, of Lorain, was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Lorain St. Joseph Hospital Saturday morning.
The Lorain County Coroner will rule on the cause of death.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was a Lorain resident the past 32 years and was employed as a diesel mechanic at U.S. Steel Corp., Lorain.
He was a Marine veteran who served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn (nee Bullock); daughters, Pamela and Sarah, and son, Clyde T. Ill, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde T.
Clyde T. Sanner, Sr. of Lorain, and a brother, James of Lorain.
Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence and Boyer Home for Funerals, Lorain.
Services will be Monday at 9 p.m. in the funeral home, with Maj. Raymond Oilman of the Salvation Army of Lorain officiating.
Myrtle M. Adams
Myrtle M. Adams, 83, of Lorain, was pronounced dead on arrival Friday at St. Joseph Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Arcola, 111., she was a longtime Lorain resident. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Amherst.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Anita) Marotta of Lorain, and Mrs. Kenneth (Doris) Fowler of Brewster,
Ohio; a son, Charles R. of Strausburg, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, Pearl Rich of Arcola, EL, and Leonard Rich of Mattoon, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond F., in 1961.
Friends may call at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, Lorain, Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Barrett, pastor, Faith Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
John Thomas
John Thomas. 63, of Oberlin, died Saturday morning in the Cleveland Clinic after a long illness.
He was born in Demoplois, Ala. and had made his home in Oberlin since 1945. He worked 32 years at Elyria Foundry until 1978, when he retired due to disability.
He was a member of Glorious Faith Tabernacle Church in Oberlin, where he was a deacon and served on the board of trustees.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; a son, John Jr., of Chicago; daughters Mrs. Sheila Thomas and Mrs. Lynette Yancey, both of Oberlin; two grandchildren ; two greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Brown, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a brother. Eddie Taylor of Elyria.
Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cowling Funeral Home, Oberlin. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Glorious Faith Tabernacle Church, with Elder Lawrence Harris officiating. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin.
Louis Hornyak
Louis Hornyak, 61, of rural Wakeman, died Thursday evening at his home after an illness of one year.
Born in Cleveland, he moved to Wakeman in 1943. He was employed as a regulator by Columbia Gas of Ohio, retiring
after 29 years of service. He was a World War II Marine veteran serving in the South Pacific.
Mr. Hornyak was a member of the Birmingham United Methodist Church and an active amateur radio buff, having
belonged to the NOARS and RACE radio clubs.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth, (nee Burkey), sons, Michael, and Scott, both at home, and Douglas,
stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton; and sisters, Helen Vanderink of Cleveland, Julia Puschaver of
Willoughby, and Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Pollock of Maple Heights.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Gerber Funeral Home, Wakeman, where funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Robert Harmon, pastor, Birmingham United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Birmingham Cemetery.
