Richard C. Vaughn

NORFOLK - Richard Carson “Slim” Vaughn, 83,
passed away Jan. 5, 2008, in a local hospital. He
was retired from the maintenance department of Norfolk Public Schools. Born in Stokes County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Mary Elvie Durham Vaughn and Eddie Vaughn.

He is survived by his four children, Richard G.
Vaughn, Cathy L. Nail, Mark D. Vaughn and Dinah
Lynn Vaughn; a sister, Nellie V. Allred; eight
grandchildren; and his good friend, Margaret N.
Cordovana. As per his request, his body has been
donated for the enlightenment of medical science. He will be remembered at a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at a later date.
