Margaret Gibson
POTOSI -- Margaret Gibson, 65, passed away Dec. 19, 2001, at her home in Potosi.
Survivors are two sons, Raese Gibson and Bill Gibson, both of Potosi; three daughters: Carol Gammon of Lone Jack, MO; Elaine Williams of Potosi and Linda White of Doniphan; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation 4:30-9 p.m. Thursday at Britton Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services 2 p.m. Friday at Britton Chapel. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Kathlyn Brewen Ivester
Kathlyn (Brewen) Ivester passed away Wednesday, May 19th, 2002. The daughter of the late Wm. J. and Pearl (Bess) Brewen, she grew up in the Fredericktown area, moving to Illinois upon her marriage to Charles Ivester.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, one sister, Faye Brewen Wiegenstein, and one brother, Wm. Brewen Jr.
She is survived by five sons, Bill Ivester of Togo, Africa; Joe Brady Ivester of Lexington, N.C.; Robert Ivester of Commanche, Okla.; Richard Ivester of Godfrey, Ill. and Michael Ivester of Imperial, Mo. Also surviving is one sister, Delores Brewen Plummer of Farmington, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews of the Farmington, Fredericktown and St. Louis area also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 1, in Godfrey at the United Methodist Church.
John Cannon
POTOSI -- John Cannon, 68, Potosi, passed away July 31, 2002, in St. Louis. Born Nov. 10, 1933, to the late Rubin and Ruby (Sprouse) Cannon in St. Louis.
Survived by brothers: Terry (Elaine) Cannon, Potosi; Bill (Sandra) Cannon, Potosi; Gary Cannon, Potosi; James Cannon, St. Louis; Allan (Judy) Cannon, Versailes; sisters: Debbie (Paul) Chiaccio, St. Louis; Jean (Bill) Morrison, Old Monroe; Sherry Rupp, St. Louis.
Visitation Friday 5:30-9 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, Potosi. Funeral services Saturday 10 a.m. at Britton Chapel, Potosi. Burial in Mathews Cemetery, Mathews, MO.
Ricky Keith
BISMARCK -- Ricky Keith, Jr., 19, formerly of Bismarck, now of Williamsville, passed away Oct. 18, 2002 at the age of 19.
He was born March 30, 1983, in Farmington, son of Ricky Keith, Sr. of Williamsville and Debbie Keith of Bismarck.
Also surviving are three sisters; Amanda Randazzl of Ironton, Amber and Candy Keith both of the home, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandparents and other family.
Visitation will be Monday evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the Shipman Funeral Home.
Visitation Tuesday will be 10 a.m. to noon at Shipman Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at noon in the Shipman Chapel with Rev. Dwight Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Keith Cemetery.
Leo Sprankle Sr.
Leo C. Sprankle Sr., 73, Goose Creek, French Village, died Dec. 16, 2002, at his residence. He was born June 3, 1929, in Madison, IL to the late Glen Willis and Myrtle (Crowder) Sprankle.
He was a member of the Goose Creek Baptist Church; the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 41 of IL; served 25 years as Illinois State Trooper, retiring June 30, 1983.
He is survived by wife, Anita (Patterson) Sprankle, Goose Creek, French Village; sons: Leo C. Sprankle Jr. and wife Debra, Granite City, IL, Mark Sprankle, Troy, IL; daughter, Carla Sprankle, Granite City, IL; grandchildren: Bryan, Tracie, Brandie, Jennifer, Matthew; four great-grandchildren; brother, Glen Sprankle, Granite City, IL; sister, Cora E. Tucker, Columbia, IL., number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation 5 p.m. Wednesday at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services 11 a.m. Thursday at the Boyer Chapel with Rev. Edward DeSpain officiating. Burial in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
