SADIE RUTH SEGER
SADIE RUTH SEGER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN OCTOBER 8, 1917, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOHN HENRY AND CLARA JOSEPHINE (DICKEY) DUNCAN. SADIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON FEBRUARY 9, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND ONE DAY.
SADIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE TAILCOTT "BILL" SEGER ON OCTOBER 8, 1970, IN ORLANDO FLORIDA.
SADIE IS SURVIVED BY ONE SISTER, HELEN BOHRINGER OF HAWK POINT, MISSOURI AND BY MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS, OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO SISTERS, GOLDIE MOORE AND GERTRUDE HOWARD AND BY TWO BROTHERS, CLINTON AND PERRY DUNCAN.
SADIE WAS A MEMBER OF THE POTOSI FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE ENJOYED SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHURCH SERVICES WITH HER MANY FRIENDS. DURING SADIE'S MARRIAGE WITH BILL THEY ENJOYED TRAVELING THE UNITED STATES AND MAKING FRIENDS EVERYWHERE THEY STOPPED. SADIE WAS NEVER SHORT A SMILE OR A CONVERSATION TO ANYONE SHE MET, HAVING WORKED IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS MOST OF HER DAYS IN POTOSI SHE BECAME A FRIEND TO ALL.
VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2000, FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2000, AT 11:00 A.M. AT MOORE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND STANLEY PAYNE OFFICIATING. SERVICES WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
