Laura Snyder
Laura A. Snyder, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, in Phoenix.
She was born July 19, 1908, in Collvile, Wash. She moved to Arizona in 1943 and lived in Phoenix and Yuma, then moved to Prescott in 1970.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Prescott, and she was a volunteer with the Blind Center.
Survivors include son, Robert of Phoenix; sisters, Mary Linton of Kettle Falls, Wash, and Dorothy Ludeman of Collvile, Wash.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Memory Chapel, 131 Grove Avenue.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel, with Dr. Bruce Humprey officiating.
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey following the service.

Edna Blakeman
Edna D. Blakeman, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at a Prescott Valley nursing home.
She was born May 16, 1907, in Weish, La., to William and Dorothy (Hall) McAffrey. She married Ford F.S. Blakeman in 1947 in California.
Mrs. Blakeman spent three years studying to be a Baptist missionary in China. That effort was not completed. She spent 28 and a half years in the banking industry and was an officer in the Bank of America when she retired in 1972.
She held the positions of president, director, and treasurer in the Soroptomist Club of Sunland Tujunga, Calif., and was president of the American Field Service of Verdugo Hills High School.
Survivors include her daughter, Lettie Jane Hatch of Henderson, Nev.; stepson, Edmund R. Blakeman of Kilauea, Hawaii; sister, Anna Lee Griffin of Conroe, Texas; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ford, in 1973; sisters, Mary and Pat; and brother, Gerald.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Hills in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, Calif., with the Rev. Bruce Kurrle officiating. Interment will follow next to her husband, Ford.

David Owen
David R. Owen, 78, died at his home in Prescott on Monday, Dec. 22, 1997.
He was born June 3, 1919, in Old Forge, Pa., to Richard and Esther (Ormston) Owen. He was a retired supervisor for a printing company.
He moved to Prescott from the state of Washington eight months ago.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughters, Becky Vandruff and Robin Owen, both of Long Beach, Calif.; and brother, Richard of Riverside, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene on Willow Creek Road, with Dr. B. Edwin McDonald officiating.

Gilbert Owens
Gilbert Owens, 80, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at Phoenix Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Weiner, Ark., to Charles and Lillie (Belle) Owens.
Mr. Owens served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a carpet installer for many years. He moved to Sierra Vista 20 years ago from Detroit, Mich., then to Chino Valley in 1980 and to Prescott Valley that same year.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley and the Golden Years Recreation Club of Prescott Valley. He married Pauline Harter in 1980, in Prescott.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline; son, Jeffrey, of Nevada; brother, Al of Livonia, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Prescott Valley, with Pastor Dennis Morner officiating.

Meryl Marshall
Meryl Marshall, 95, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 1997, at a Prescott nursing home.
She was born Sept. 11, 1902, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, to William and Millie (Lucas) Stephenson. She married Charles A. Marshall on Nov. 26, 1926, in Ontario, Canada. They moved to Phoenix in 1948 from Canada, then to Prescott Valley in 1986.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of the United Church of Canada.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Adair of Prescott Valley; brother, Kenneth Stephenson of Ontario, Canada; and two grandchildren. Her husband, Charles, preceded her in death in 1979.
Private family services were held.

Alice Lambert
Alice M. Lambert, 80, died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at her home in Prescott Valley.
She was born May 30, 1917, in Cambridge, Mass., to Arthur and Annie (Bernard) Lambert. She moved to Prescott Valley from Massachusetts seven years ago.
Survivors include her brothers, Cleophas of Torrance, Calif., Arthur of Fayetteville, N.C., and Francis of Fountain Inn, S.C.; and sisters, Annie and Ethel, both of Prescott Valley.
Private family services were held.
