Dorothy Baiko
Dorothy P. Baiko, 76, died Friday, Nov. 14, 1997, at her home in Prescott Valley.
She was born Dec. 7, 1920, in McCook, Neb., to Ben Langmaid and Pearl Caphcart. She moved to Prescott Valley from California 13 years ago.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed traveling and hobbies such as stained glass, sewing and reading. She was also a volunteer at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Casa Senior Center in Prescott and Prescott Valley.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Baiko and Elvin and William Reamey, all of California, Peter Baiko of North Carolina and Robert Baiko of Prescott Valley; daughters, Sally Wilcox and Sandra Hammond, both of Prescott Valley, and Barbara Tafe of New York; brother, Elvin Langmaid of Payson; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, with the Rev. James Cunningham officiating.

Laree Craft
Laree Craft, 94, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997, at a local nursing home.
She was born Oct. 23, 1903, in Dausboro, Ga., to Thomas Thigpen and Rosa McDaniel. She moved to Prescott in 1923, after contracting tuberculosis, and was a patient at the Old Flynn Sanitarium. She recovered rapidly in the mountain air of Prescott.
Mrs. Craft met and married Roy Craft, who worked for the City of Prescott. She worked for the law firm of Favour and Baker later Favour, Baker and Crawford for several years. She and her husband bought a house on North Washington Street. She continued to live there after her husband's death, in 1963, until she became ill and was admitted to Prescott Samaritan Village this past summer.
After working for the law firm for many years, she worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and held various secretarial positions until her retirement in the 1970s.
She is survived by nieces Nancy Thigpen of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ann Beane of Moorehead, Ky.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Mt. View Cemetery, with the Rev. James Cunningham officiating.

Ray Lambson
H. Ray Lambson, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 1997, in Prescott.
He was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Ramah, N.M. He moved to Prescott in 1956, with his wife, LaVerne, and four children.
Mr. Lambson was self-employed during his life, and was involved in several enterprises. In Prescott, he owned the Sunset Hills and Lazy Dude restaurants with his brother, Glenn. He later became a real estate agent, and eventually owned several convenience markets in Prescott, Kingman, Sedona and Wickenburg prior to his retirement in 1980. He was actively involved in community and civic activities and was a member of the Rotary Club.
Mr. Lambson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the stake high council and as the bishop of Prescott First Ward. He served two full-time missions for his church, one as a young man to the northwestern states and the other with his wife, Marcia, in Baton Rouge, La. He served in many other church capacities during his life.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia; daughters, Patricia Harris and Georgia Lange, both of Prescott, and Denise Ross of Mesa; son, Preston of Prescott; sister, Daisy Boyd of Dallas, Texas; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, LaVerne; his parents, Eugene and Sarah; and brothers, Robert and Glenn.
A viewing is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 Highway 69 in Prescott Valley.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1003 Ruth St. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Mission Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Kathi Behunin
Kathi Lee Behunin, 16, died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, as a result of a rollover automobile accident near Lynx Lake.
She was born Feb. 18, 1981, in Prescott.
She attended Miller Valley Elementary School, Granite Mountain Middle School, and was a student at Prescott High School at the time of her death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Copper Basin Ward.
Miss Behunin was a loving, creative teenager who could always make you smile. Whether with her writing, dancing or singing, her goal was to make others happy. She was proudest of her artistic abilities. She was gifted with the ability to love and accept everyone unconditionally.
Survivors include her mother, Lisa Hansen of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Lee Ann Henderson of Sacramento, Calif., and Lisa Case of Evanston, Wyo.; and her grandmother, Joan Behunin of Prescott.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Carriage House, on the grounds of the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., with a celebration of her life following at 11 a.m. Bishop Ward Kartchner will officiate.
Concluding services will be at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road.

Oren Cook
Oren P. "Perk" Cook, 68, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 14, 1928, in Centralia, Wash., to Roy and Opal Cook. The family moved to Sweet Home, Ore., from Bend, Ore., in 1942.
He attended high school in Sweet Home and married Nola M. Kelley there on Sept. 3, 1950, before joining the Air Force on Dec. 3, 1951. He served on Johnson Island during the early atomic tests in the 1950s, and later in Korea and Vietnam, before retiring on Dec. 31, 1971, as a tech sergeant.
Mr. Cook enjoyed helping people, the outdoors, gold prospecting and RV living. He was especially proud of being a volunteer "rainbow builder" with the Escapee's (SKP's) RV Club at North Ranch in Arizona, and Dream Catcher in New Mexico. He enjoyed his winters in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Nola; sisters, Nina Graves of Salem, Ore., Louise Thornton of Madras, Ore., and Alice Chambers of Colorado Springs, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Orval.

LaDonna Baldwin
LaDonna Kay Baldwin, 45, of Prescott Valley, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997.
She was born Aug. 30, 1952, in Wray, Colo., to George and Reta (Clark) Chartier. She moved to Arizona 12 years ago, and was a nursing assistant in a local nursing home.
Survivors include her son, Jeremiah Chartier; daughter, Serenity Chartier; parents, George and Reta; and brother, Monty.
A memorial service for her friends is being held at 2 p.m. today at her home.
