Janos Toth
Janos "John" Toth, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
He was born June 30, 1912, in Hungary to John and Marie (Herdi) Toth.
Mr. Toth was a winemaker by trade, having learned the occupation from his father. He later became a policeman in Hungary, before being sent to a forced labor camp by the Germans in World War II. After the war he came to America and located in Cleveland, Ohio, where he met and married Helen Farkas in 1953. He became a U.S. citizen in 1957 and owned and operated a beauty salon, along with his wife.
The Toths moved to Lake Havasu in 1970 where they owned and operated another beauty salon. In 1992, they retired to the Prescott area.
Mr. Toth was an avid gardener, raising both flowers and vegetables. He was a member of St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley.
He is survived by a brother, Steve of Hungary and a goddaughter, Patricia Stockman of Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1997.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sunrise Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, with Father Joseph Gamm officiating. Interment will follow at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.

Marian Gang
Marian June Gang, 64, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, in Dewey.
She was born Jan. 8, 1935, in Elkhart, Ind., to Lewis K. and Lillian (Williams) Myers.
Mrs. Gang married Robert Gang on July 4, 1954, in Elkhart, Ind. They made their home in California, where she was a medical secretary. After retiring in 1996 from St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank, Calif., the Gangs moved to Arizona, where Mrs. Gang enjoyed working with stained glass and doing volunteer work with the West Yavapai Guidance Clinic and the Del Webb Center.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; sons, Gary and Robert, both of Paulden; daughter, Gayle Gang of Prescott; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, with Pastor Andrew Byars officiating.

Rebecca Nelson
Rebecca Jones Nelson, age 65, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
Mrs. Nelson attended the University of Missouri. She and her husband of 43 years, George, moved to Prescott in 1994.
She is survived by her husband, George; sons, Jack of Cave Creek and Bradley of Chandler; sister, Connie Thompson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
A private memorial service was held Oct. 23.

Conrad Bezner
Conrad Bezner, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 23, at his home in Prescott.
He was born March 8, 1908, in Walnut Township, Iowa, to Louie and Martha (Stickerod) Bezner.
Mr. Bezner was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners for more than 50 years up until his death. He retired to Prescott in 1972 and became an active member of First Southern Baptist Church, where he dedicated his time and talents to the church, receiving the first Senior Adult of the Year award presented in 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel; step-children, Joy Jackson of Phoenix, Joe Cox and Carol Rice of Prescott.
Mr. Bezner was preceded in death by his two children, Bill and David Bezner.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Willow Hills First Southern Baptist Church, 1071 Mogollon Road. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Bruce Black officiating.

Glenn Donaldson
Glenn Clymer Donaldson, 70, died Monday, Oct. 18, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Harrisburg, Pa., to Earl and Frances (Kupstas) Donaldson.
Mr. Donaldson married Joan B. Gaetz in August 1968 in Long Beach, Calif. They made their home in Florida, where he was a salesman in the automotive industry. He retired in 1992 and moved to Arizona. He enjoyed flying airplanes and playing golf.
Survivors include his sons, G. Barry of New York, N.Y., and Gary of Prescott Valley; daughters, Nancie Bush of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Tamie Donaldson and Glynis Nicholson, both of Phoenix; brothers, John and Don, both of Long Beach, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan B. (Gaetz) Donaldson.

Myrtle Hughes
Myrtle Hughes, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Sept. 27, 1913, in Prescott, to Augustus Henry Garbarino and Nellie May Wolfe.
Mrs. Hughes had been a resident of the Prescott and Bagdad area all her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Bagdad for many years. She enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Alyce Whitmire of Safford; son, William Anderson of Wilhoit; two brothers; four sisters; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Wilhoit.

Paul Rice
Paul D. Rice, 67, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999.
Mr. Rice was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Davidson, Okla.
He moved to Prescott in 1943 and graduated from Prescott High School in 1950. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for duty in the Korean War and served as a staff sergeant and crew chief on B-47 jet bombers for the Strategic Air Command.
Mr. Rice married Joann Whitney in 1954. In 1960, he obtained his bachelor of science degree in business from the University of Arizona in Tucson. After graduating from U of A, he moved to the valley to work for the Salt River Project. In 1975, he obtained his MBA from Arizona State University.
He was a past president of the Tempe Arts Center Board, chairman of the Project Political Involvement Committee from 1976 to 1982, past president of Salt River Project's P.E.R.A. Board in 1973, board member of the Lake Montezuma Home Owners Association, and an officer in the Corvette Club of Arizona. He was an avid photographer, golfer and model railroad buff.
Survivors include his wife, Joann; daughters, Paula Jensen and Ann Rice, both of Ahwatukee; sons, Joe of Phoenix and Christopher of Prescott Valley; sister, Una Fay Powers of Mesa; and five grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott.

Paul Perreault
Paul Raymond Perreault, 72, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
Mr. Perreault was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Rochester, N.H., to George E. and Rose (Dubois) Perreault.
He married Mary Melansom on June 29, 1953, in Somersworth, N.H. He served in the Navy in World War II and was self employed throughout his life. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. He and his wife lived in Arizona for the last 32 years.
Mr. Perreault is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Kym, of Phoenix; daughters, Maureen Ann Strahan of Colendale and Linda Perreault of Scottsdale; brother, Roland; sister, Priscilla; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and a sister, Lorraine.
