Leo Rauch
Leo Lawrence Rauch, 70, of Prescott, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott.
He was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Cascade, Iowa, to Mike and Anna (Mausser) Rauch.
Mr. Rauch is survived by his brothers, George of Apache Junction and Walter of Coggon, Iowa; and sisters, Rita O'Connell of Vinton, Iowa, and Margaret Zieser and Mary Porter, both of Walker, Iowa.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Ray Bones
Ray J. Bones, 80, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, in Cordes Lakes.
He was born May 3, 1919, in Shamrock, Texas, to Walter Miller Bones and Lona (Smith) Bones.
Mr. Bones was a World War II veteran. He had worked as an electrician, and had lived in Arizona for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Cordes Lakes; sons, Ronald Bones and Michael Rans; daughters, Gloria Muller and Patricia Berry; sister, Bernice Bones; brother, Oliver M. Bones; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bunker's Desert View Chapel, 9702 E. Apache Trail, Mesa. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa.

Caitlyn Bateman
Caitlyn Lea (Katie-Bug) Bateman, 6, of Spring Valley, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, in Phoenix.
Caitlyn was born June 6, 1993, in Prescott. She was a member of Mile High Worship Center of Prescott Valley. Caitlyn enjoyed playing T-ball, fishing, bicycle riding and roller blading.
She is survived by her parents, Harold Bateman of Dewey and Joe and Sandi Lopez Gerstenberger of Spring Valley; brothers, Stephen Gerstenberger of Prescott, and Joey and Corey Gerstenberger of Spring Valley; and sisters, Ashley Lopez and Ceairra Bateman, both of Spring Valley.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mile High Worship Center, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Pastor Gene Jennings will officiate.
Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.

Juanita Herman
Juanita Herman, 62, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
She was born April 22, 1937, in Morley County, Ky., to Alonzo C. and Annabelle (Napier) Adkins.
Mrs. Herman married Jacob Herman on Sept. 23, 1961, in Massillon, Ohio. She was a devoted grandmother and loved her children.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald of Dennison, Ohio, and Charles of Kalispell, Mont.; daughters, Shelly Gustavsen and Mary Nofsinger, both of Prescott Valley, and Clara Herman of Orange, Calif.; sisters, Pauline Bain of Chino Valley, Buelah Burr of Bakersfield, Calif., and Ruth Ann of Dallas, Texas; 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob, in 1996.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, with Pastor Harry Van Haken officiating. Interment at the cemetery will follow.

Nola George
Nola Maie George, 83, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 15, 1915, in West Frankfort, Ill., to William Issac and Sarah Elmina (Hathaway) Odle.
Mrs. George married Ralph George on Oct. 6, 1934, in Illinois. She moved to Prescott in 1939.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Worthington of Prescott; sister, Ruie Moore of Marion, Ind.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1988.

José Romero
José Adan Romero, 45, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born May 5, 1954, in Sonora, Mexico, to Quirano and Carmen (Acosta) Romero.
Mr. Romero moved to Prescott in 1984. He worked as a landscaper, and was a member of the Roman Catholic church.
He is survived by his wife, Natalia, of Prescott; sons, Ramon and Marcos, both of Prescott; and five sisters and nine brothers, all of Mexico.
Visitation was Sunday at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be later this week, in Agua Prieta, Sonora, with burial in Agua Prieta.
