John Flinn
John W. Flinn, 75, of Phoenix, a former Bagdad resident, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, in Phoenix.
He was born Nov. 23, 1923, in Boston, Mass.
Mr. Flinn earned a bachelor of arts degree at the University of Arizona. He worked as a chemist at the Bagdad copper mine until his retirement.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Flinn, of Scottsdale.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.

Lorraine McKamey
Lorraine L. McKamey, 78, of Yarnell, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Aug. 25, 1921, in St. Charles, Ill.
Mrs. McKamey married Richard James McKamey on Dec. 23, 1944. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Cowden Livestock Co. in Phoenix for 25 years.
The couple moved from Illinois to Phoenix in 1963, and lived in Arizona until 1986. Mrs. McKamey then moved to Maine, but returned in 1997 to live in Yarnell. She was devoted to her family, and was proudest of her children.
Mrs. McKamey is survived by her sons, Dennis Wolters of Helena, Calif., John McKamey of Phoenix, and Michael McKamey of Skull Valley; daughter, Cindi Buckner of Maine; brother, Donald Spriet of Maine; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 1980.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of the Chimes, corner of Northern and 59th avenues, Glendale. Visitation will be at noon at the chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

Frances Edmiston
Frances E. "Bettie" Edmiston, 77, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Howard and Gertrude Norman.
Mrs. Edmiston worked for AT&T for 37 years in Colorado Springs; Casper, Wyo., and San Jose, Calif., retiring in 1984.
She married Ivan Edmiston on Aug. 12, 1963, in Casper, Wyo.
Her husband survives her.

Tamara Watts
Tamara Jo Switzer Watts, 41, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 5, 1957, in Sargent, Neb., to Harold and Colleen Iris (Goehring) Switzer.
She married Glenn Watts on Aug. 15, 1980.
Mrs. Watts had worked as office manager in several local doctors' offices. She loved to sing, and most recently sang at the Prescott Christian Church with the Praise Team, and in the Yavapai College Women's Chamber Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Amanda, and son, Calvin, both of the home; brothers, Bruce and Tom Switzer, both of Taylor, Neb.; sister, Kristi Berg of Mesa; and mother, Colleen Switzer of Taylor, Neb.
Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her father, Harold Switzer, and son, Nathan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Prescott Christian Church, with Pastor Darin Scates and Rob Wilson officiating. Interment will be Monday in the Madison Square Cemetery, Loup County, Neb.

Robert Guerra Sr.
Robert Albert Guerra Sr., 69, formerly of Prescott, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, in Phoenix.
He was born June 28, 1930, in Globe.
Mr. Guerra lived in Prescott from 1970 to 1998, and was a retired maintenance man at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott.
He is survived by his daughter, Victoria, of Prescott; sons, Michael of Prescott, Peter of Gillette, Wyo., and Robert Jr. of Tempe; brother, Joseph, of Casa Grande; eight step-children; five grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren.
Private family services were held.

Maurice Embertson
Maurice A. Embertson, 85, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
He was born March 22, 1914, in Litchville, N.D., to Oscar F. and Inez (Nelson) Embertson.
Mr. Embertson graduated from Purdue University with a degree in electrical engineering, and served as a major in the Air Technical Service Command of the U.S. Air Force.
He married Jane Morry on Jan. 9, 1943, in Detroit, Mich.
Mr. Embertson spent 30 years as founder and president of Pyromatic Industrials, Inc., in Milwaukee, Wis. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, past president of The Instrument Society of America, and past president of the Milwaukee Council of Engineering and Scientific Societies.
He was also active in the American Society for Metals for 25 years. A man of many scientific interests, his focus was on research and design solutions for industrial processes.
Mr. Embertson enjoyed foreign travel, skiing and spending summers sailing and swimming at the family's summer home on a lake in Wisconsin.
Upon retiring in 1979, Mr. Embertson and his wife moved to Prescott, where he assisted community programs, supported the arts, golfed, hiked and biked.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Karen Embertson and Kristi Larkin, both of Santa Fe, N.M.; and sons, Randy of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Eric of Prescott Valley.
Mr. Embertson was preceded in death by his brother, Hubert.
A private memorial ceremony will be held by the family.
