David Work
David N. Work, 52, of Sedona, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, in Cottonwood.
Mr. Work moved to Sedona from Los Angeles, Calif., in 1990. He had worked at Wed Imagineering in Glendale, Calif.
He also was in the Peace Corps in Malaysia, and served in the Army, in medical services.
Mr. Work is survived by his wife, Dolly Yapp; sons, Patrick and Joey; daughter, Anna; parents, the Rev. and Mrs. William Work; sister, Judy Rosebruck; and brother, Jonathan Work.
A gathering for family and friends will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Redrock State Park, on lower Redrock Loop Road in Sedona.

Barbara Jacobs
Barbara C. Jacobs, 83, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born May 14, 1916, in Laguna Beach, Calif., to Clifford and Myrtle (Williams) Cravath.
She married Charles Owen Jacobs in 1941, and they were married for 41 years prior to his death in September 1982.
Mrs. Jacobs moved to Prescott from Costa Mesa, Calif., in 1978. She was a member of the Prescott Adult Center's bridge organization.
She enjoyed playing bridge, shopping with her daughters and her friends, fly fishing, camping, and telling stories around the campfire.
Mrs. Jacobs also loved flowers, and crafting items for her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri Harrison of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kathryn Morgan of Prescott; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her only sister, Kathryn Cook, in 1972.
An informal gathering of family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., led by her son-in-law, Dave Morgan.

Cleora Miller
Cleora Ruth Miller, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born July 1, 1925, in Chandler, to Morris and Ruth (Burk) Cooper.
Mrs. Miller attended the Prescott Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Brittenham of Wake Village, Texas, and Paul Brittenham of Bowling Green, Ky.; sister, Dawn Knight of Prescott; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, with Don Hooton conducting the service.

Oscar Castellon
Oscar E. Castellon, 39, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at his home in Seligman.
He was born Jan. 18, 1960, in Ogden, Utah, to Oscar I. and Ruth May (Dolan) Castellon.
He moved with his family to Glendale from Utah in 1962, and in June 1998 he moved to Seligman.
Mr. Castellon worked as a high-rise welder, and in construction for Dick Cloud-Quartzsite construction.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and working with his hands.
Mr. Castellon held a great love for life, which showed in his battle with cancer.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth May Quinn of Seligman; sisters, Mina DeGarno and Nina Castellon, both of Phoenix; and brother, Anothy, of Phoenix.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Seligman Cemetery.

Eva Repice
Eva Boscia Repice, 80, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Schenectady, N.Y., to John and Anna Marie (Tucci) Boscia.
Mrs. Repice, a Prescott resident since 1995, is survived by a daughter, Gail Dagostino of Prescott; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Repice was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, her son, Joseph, and a grandson.
A vigil service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hampton Funeral Home. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Howard Hahn
Howard Z. Hahn, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at his home in Prescott.
He was born June 14, 1916, in Doland, S.D., to Frank M. and Hulda (Zellmer) Hahn.
Mr. Hahn served in the Army Corps of Engineers for three years during World War II. He married Marion Kuipers on June 10, 1940.
He owned and operated Independent Oil Company and service station for more than 40 years.
Mr. Hahn moved to Prescott from South Dakota in 1993. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed hunting pheasant, playing pinochle and bridge, reading, and the Miami Dolphins.
Mr. Hahn collected rocks and bottles, and was proudest of his family and having been born and raised in South Dakota.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Walker of Omaha, Neb.; sons, Frank of Prescott and Darrel of Spearfish, S.D.; sister, Letitia Stormo of Aberdeen, S.D.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion, in November 1997.
Services were at 2 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Doland, S.D., followed by concluding services at Doland Cemetery.

Ruth Schutter
Ruth Schutter, 97, of Chino Valley, died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 31, 1901, in the Netherlands, to Henry and Hattie (Bos) Scholten.
Mrs. Schutter was a homemaker, and a member of Palm Croft Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Anagene Vandermolen and Joy Parks; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, with visitation one hour before.
Interment will be at Greenwood Memory Lawn in Phoenix.

John Johnson
John Lester Johnson, 80, of Chino Valley, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott.
He was born Oct. 30, 1918, in West Alice, Wis.
Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army Air Corps for two years during World War II. He married Evelyn Roberts on June 20, 1941.
He worked as a welder and fabricator for Joor Brothers Welding for 10 years. Mr. Johnson enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his son, Bob, of Chino Valley, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, in 1979, and son, Edward, in 1976.
A private cremation was held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.
