Margaret Holmes
Margaret Elizabeth Holmes, 99, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott.
She was born March 30, 1900, in Columbus, Ohio, to Anton J. and Emma (Stickel) Bauman.
Mrs. Holmes moved to Prescott from Los Angeles in 1994. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Los Feliz Women's Club and Los Feliz Republican Club, all in Los Angeles, Calif.
She was a homemaker and volunteer at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital.
Mrs. Holmes enjoyed traveling, making new friends, and her volunteer work. She was proudest of her grandchildren and the accomplishments of her husband, William Clark Holmes, who preceded her in death in 1964.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Tracy of Prescott, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif., with a memorial service being held at the graveside at a later date.

Sherrill Rojas
Sherrill Ann Pickering Hudson Rojas, 52, a former Prescott resident, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, in Phoenix.
She was born May 17, 1947, in Frankfort, Ind., to James Pickering and Mary Rojas.
She lived in Humboldt from 1977 to 1985, and Prescott from 1988 to 1992. She was a bus tour guide, and previously worked as an admitting clerk at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sandra Rector of Phoenix; sons, Dennis Hudson of Phoenix and David Hudson of Gilbert; brother, John Pickering of Tempe; mother, Mary Rojas of Phoenix; and father and stepmother, James and Doris Pickering.
A memorial service was held Monday at Valley View Bible Church in Paradise Valley.

Mary Lou Wooldridge
Mary Lou Wooldridge, 72, of Prescott, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999. in Precott.
She was born July 4, 1927, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., to Clarence and Essie May (Ring) Whitlow.
She married Floyd Wooldridge on Oct. 18, 1947. They moved to California where she managed the Philgood restaurant in Pasadena until her retirement in the late 1970s.
Mrs. Wooldridge attended Calvary Chapel, and enjoyed playing cards, collecting dolls, reading, and cooking.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Carpenter of Prescott, Patti Harris of Traverse City, Mich., and Sheri Connelly of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Dorothy Claxton and Alice Allison of Albuquerque, N.M., Margaret Bauer of St. Louis, Mo., and Peggy Jeffcoat of Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wooldridge was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, in 1993.
A funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. today, at Sunrise Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Lehman officiating.
Interment will be at Redwood Cemetery in Dewey.

Alvin Wagner
Alvin L. Wagner, 85, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Mi Casa Care Home in Prescott Valley, following a brief illness.
Mr. Wagner was born Oct. 6, 1913, in Floydada, Texas, to Charles and Floye Wagner.
He moved to New Mexico at a young age with his parents, and worked on ranches until he joined the U.S. Navy during World War II.
After the war he returned to New Mexico, where he worked on the Bell Ranch until 1950. He then moved to Arizona and worked on various ranches until his retirement.
Mr. Wagner is survived by his sisters, Gladys Birchfield of Socorro, N.M., and Maggie Petty of Albuquerque, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, and a brother, D.M. Wagner.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memory Chapel, with Pastor Bob Hanson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
A graveside service with military honors will follow at 1 p.m. at the Seligman Cemetery in Seligman.

George Rae
George Rae, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Sept. 29, 1924, in Glasgow, Scotland.
Mr. Rae served in the British Merchant Marines. He married Beryl Morris on Sept. 29, 1951.
He worked 25 years as an engineer for the aerospace industry, with Southwestern Industries. He enjoyed traveling, reading, history and golf.
Mr. Rae is survived by his wife, Beryl.
Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Maxine Gaither
Maxine West Gaither, 87, a former Prescott resident, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, in Peoria.
She was born Dec. 28, 1911, in Parkersburg, W.Va.
Mrs. Gaither was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and was a former member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Prescott. She lived in Prescott from 1971 to 1986.
She is survived by her son, John of Southlake, Texas; daughter, Ellen Ahern of Anchorage, Alaska; and five grandchildren.
Private burial was in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Philipp Euler
Philipp Euler, 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Prescott.
He was born March 1, 1925, in West New York, N.J., to William and Elizabeth (Meyer) Euler.
Mr. Euler served in the U.S. Marines Corps during World War II in the Pacific theater of operation, and was an Iwo Jima survivor. He was past commandant of the Marine Corps League - Copper State Detachment in Prescott.
He owned and trained show dogs and was a judge at dog shows. Mr. Euler had lived in Prescott for nine years.
He is survived by his brother, Henry, of North Bergen, N.J.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., with the Rev. Daniel Storvick officiating, and ceremony by the Marine Corps League - Copper State Detachment.

Robert Rudd
Robert Gilliam "Gil" Rudd, 88, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott.
He was born Oct. 13, 1910, in Berkley, Va., to William S. and Nanny B. (Gilliam) Rudd.
Mr. Rudd was a member of the class of 1933 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and of Theta Chi Fraternity.
He joined Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y., in 1934, and worked in the research laboratory during the transition years from black and white film to color.
At his retirement in 1971 he was head of the Kodak Research Laboratories Process Department and was a recognized expert in the development and processing of color and microfilm media. He played an important role in producing Kodachrome film and in the use of satellite photography.
His publications in the photographic field included such research papers as "Some Factors Influencing the Quality of Microfilm Images," "The Potential of Photography to Record Ground Detail From Satellites," and "Color Reprography," presented at the International Congress of Photography in Cologne, Germany.
In May 1985, Mr. Rudd was the recipient of the Pioneer Award of the Association for Information and Image Management for his pioneering methods of coding microfilm and proper exposure control for documents.
He and his wife, Marjorie, moved to Prescott in 1978, where his continuing interest in photography led him to Sharlot Hall Museum, where he assisted the museum with its archiving of collections of old photographs and materials, and advising on the development of a high functioning darkroom.
Mr. Rudd was named volunteer of the year at Sharlot Hall Museum in 1987. His photographic skills are still evident in the postcards he produced for sale in the museum store.
He was a member of the Friday Noon Rotary Club and the Westerners.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Davis of Prescott and Jean Bolin of Chicago, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie Gibson Rudd.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at the Sharlot Hall amphitheater.
