Louise Peterson
Louise Huey Peterson, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at the Arizona Pioneers' Home.
She was born July 31, 1909, in Dustin, Okla., to James and Pheby (Price) Millsap.
Mrs. Peterson moved to Kingman from Oklahoma in 1946. In Kingman she worked at the Mohave General Hospital for more than 20 years.
She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and Manzanita Baptist Church, and was a 50-year member of Kingman Rebecca Lodge #12.
Mrs. Peterson moved to the Arizona Pioneers' Home in 1990.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Huey of Wasilla, Alaska, and Jerrel Huey of Ruston, La.; sisters, Vera Rouse and Virginia Hall; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husbands, W.H. Huey and Martin Peterson, and a son, Eldon Huey.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Manzanita Baptist Church, 2040 Golden Gate St., Kingman.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery in Kingman.

Gladys Knape
Gladys Marie Knape, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
Mrs. Knape was born March 6, 1910, in Wheeler, Texas, to Walter and Savannah Williams.
She married Harold Knape Feb. 20, 1941, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a member of the Robert Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Knape is survived by her husband, Harold of Prescott Valley; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation was at 9:30 a.m. today at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley. A funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Pastor Hobby Wiles officiating.
Interment will be at East Resthaven Cemetery in Tempe.

Marjorie Giltner
Marjorie J. (Munson) Giltner, 78, a part-time Prescott resident, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, in Scottsdale.
She was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Emporia, Kan.
Mrs. Giltner was retired as an accountant for General Electric.
Survivors include her husband, Ted of Scottsdale; daughters, Judy Burdick and Christine Kostner, both of Wichita, Kan., Casey Bortlik of Coopersburg, Pa., and Robin McClement of Mission Viejo, Calif.; sons, Dr. Marc Munson of Scottsdale, Lance Munson of Nashville, Tenn., and Chris Giltner of Holtville, Calif., brother, Robert Miller of Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Messinger Mortuary & Chapel, 7601 E. Indian School Road in Scottsdale.

Claire Fairbrother
Claire E. Fairbrother, 104, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott.
She was born July 22, 1895, in northern Ireland to James and Mary Ann Quinn.
Mrs. Fairbrother sailed to America when she was 25 years old. She met and married her husband, William, soon after arriving in New York. They were married for nearly 50 years, before his death in 1968 in Ireland.
For more than 25 years, she was a psychiatric nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
About 22 years ago, Mrs. Fairbrother moved back to the U.S., and came to Prescott.
In 1995, her two married grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all traveled from Washington and Hawaii to attend her 100th birthday party at Las Fuentes Care Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances Perrin of Prescott; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Prescott.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial Mass cards through the church.

James Morgan
James Morgan, 61, a former Prescott resident, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, in Phoenix.
He was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Prescott.
Mr. Morgan served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired prison officer at Perryville.
He is survived by his wife, Jo of Phoenix; stepdaughters, Christina Stiasny of Lakeside, Calif., and Cathy Woodson, of Gilbert; mother, Ella Smith of Prescott; brother, Tom Morgan; and six grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix.
A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, also at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel.

Betty Peyton
Betty Jane Peyton, 79, a Prescott resident, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1999, at Prescott Valley Samaritan Center.
She was born April 29, 1920, in Newark, Ohio, to Harold L. and Pearl (Denzer) Shields.
Mrs. Peyton served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant in the nurses corp during WWII.
She married Fred Cass, and worked as a registered nurse. After Mr. Cass' death, she married Billie Peyton on Mar. 4, 1975.
She moved to Phoenix in 1958, then to Prescott in 1983.
Mrs. Peyton was a member of Calvary Chapel in Prescott. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Billie of Prescott; son, Dennis Cass of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Kayanne Baker of Prescott; brother, Harold Shields Jr. of Heath, Ohio; sisters, Dorothy Wise of Plano, Texas, and Harriet Frazier of Phoenix; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Chapel of Prescott.
Graveside services, with military honors, will be Friday at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Newark, Ohio.

Linda Cox
Linda Marie Cox, 54, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at her home in Chino Valley.
She was born Feb. 1, 1945, in Morrisville, Vt., to Amedee and Alice (Johnson) Caron.
Mrs. Cox moved to Arizona in 1976, and was employed for 21 years at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing and yard work, and she loved animals.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Godby of Prescott and Connie Miller of Dayton, Ohio; son, Craig Delphia of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; sister, Janet Clark of Prescott; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Mark, in 1997.
Private services will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery.

Mary Kendall
Mary E. Kendall, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Norfolk, Neb., to Albert and Lettie (Reading) Kendall.
She was a retired elementary school teacher from California, and moved to Prescott in 1991.
Miss Kendall's interests included quilting, ceramics, jewelry making and books.
