April Fletcher
April L. Fletcher, 53, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, at Granite Mountain Adult Care Center.
She was born Dec. 13, 1945, in Phoenix, to Dr. John C. and Lorraine A. (Carter) Fletcher.
Mrs. Fletcher was Rodeo Queen for Prescott Frontier Days in 1962. She graduated from Prescott High School in 1964. She is from a family of Rodeo Queens in Prescott, as well as a pioneer Arizona family.
She attended college in Ft. Lewis, Durango, Colo., and later Yavapai College, completing a certificate program in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for Rio Verde Health Care in Camp Verde for many years, retiring in 1995.
Mrs. Fletcher loved horses, riding and caring for them. She also enjoyed birds and dogs, and being with her friends and family.
She was involved with the 4-H Club for many years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Carter Walker, in March of this year, and her father, Dr. Jack Fletcher, in 1991.
Survivors include her son, Ross Perner IV of Dewey; and sister, Robin Ogg of Grand Canyon.
A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. A private cremation was held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Eva Cornwell
Eva C. Cornwell, 84, died Friday, July 16, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born March 5, 1915, in Gardner, Mass., to George and Eva Gertrude Cornwell.
Mrs. Cornwell was a graduate nurse and worked as a graduate psychiatric nurse at the Gardner Massachusetts State Hospital.
She married Lincoln R. Cornwell on June 26, 1942, in White Plains, N.Y. They lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, then moved to Everett, Wash., where they owned and operated "The Street Sweeper," a street cleaning service. They retired and moved to Los Banos, Calif., and, in 1983, to Prescott Valley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln, and one brother.
There were no survivors.
Interment will be beside her husband at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.

Burnadette Habenicht
Burnadette Habenicht, 68, died Monday, July 19, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Hoyt, Kan., to Ralph and Louisa (Ungerman) Hayes.
Mrs. Habenicht worked as a secretary for the Boeing Co. for 10 years. She was a life-time member of the Elks Lodge and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Prescott Valley.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph and Randell, both of Phoenix, and James of Thornton, Colo.; daughters, Janette Weng of Springfield, Mo., and Charlotte Patstone and Francine Frank, both of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and sister, Elizabeth Williams of Topeka, Kan.

Harold Hall Jr.
Harold Randolph Hall Jr., 59, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Phoenix, to Harold Randolph Hall Sr. and Mabel Francis (Kent) Hall.
Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965, in Vietnam. He was a 1970 graduate of Arizona State University, and a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
He worked as an electrical engineer for the Intel Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta of Prescott; daughters, Cheryl Hall and Gayle Nay; son, Harold III; his father, Harold Sr.; sister, Barbara Cowdery; and two grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Roy Lawrence Jr.
Roy Dan "Danny" Lawrence Jr., 52, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, at his home in Seligman.
He was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Roswell, N.M., to Roy D. Lawrence Sr. and Hazel A. Lawrence.
Mr. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a heavy equipment operator and construction worker.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed bareback riding, bull riding and cowboying.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie of Seligman; daughter, Dusty Murdock of Duncan; sons, Vernon of Lancaster, Calif., and Zane of Duncan; sisters, Wanda Lawrence of Kanab, Utah, Loretta Reaves of Eureka, Kan., and Rebecca Gross of Golden Valley; and brother, David of Kingman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Sr., in 1983, and his mother, Hazel, in 1992.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Seligman Cemetery.

E. Margaret Stolmeier
E. Margaret Stolmeier, 78, of Cottonwood, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at St. Luke's Hospital in Phoenix.
She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Davenport, Iowa, to John and Emma Lueders.
Mrs. Stolmeier and her husband, Charles, were married on Sept. 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1983.
She retired from the Outing Club in 1976, after 18 years' service, and moved with her husband to Verde Village, where she participated in the production and distribution of the Home Owners' Association Roundup News newspaper. She served on local election board committees, and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Her strong commitment to family and friends was well-recognized and admired by those who loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Sweetman of Lutz, Fla., Peg Rogers of Lenexa, Kan., and Jeanne Briggs of Chino Valley; sons, Robert of Shelbyville, Ind., and Martin of Bettendorf, La.; 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Smith of Detroit, Mich.; and brother, John Lueders of Davenport, Iowa.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Westcott Funeral Home Chapel, 1013 E. Mingus Ave., in Cottonwood. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Clarkdale.

James Jenkins Sr.
James O. "Skeeter" Jenkins Sr., 87, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
He was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Fairfax, Va., to James A. and Mazie (Hitaffer) Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins married Edna Louise Scaggs in 1960. She preceded him in death in 1995.
He worked as an agricultural laborer. He moved to Prescott, from Maryland, in 1994.
Survivors include his son, Warren of Cordes Lakes; daughters, Charlotte Waller of Prescott and Shirley Scanlan of Phoenix; two brothers; one sister; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, James Jr.
Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, with inurnment at St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Beltsville, Md.

Albert Hayes
Albert Austin Hayes, 85, of Paulden, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born June 14, 1914, in Waterville, Ohio, to George and Bonnie (Counterman) Hayes.
Mr. Hayes married Alice Huff in August 1995, in Prescott. He worked as a construction lather for the Prescott Airport, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Alice of Paulden; sons, Gary and Steve, both of Paulden, and Ronald of Bethel Island, Calif.; daughter, Lynda Hickman of Lebanon, Ore.; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
