Harry Smith
Harry "Jack" Smith, 84, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Sept. 11, 1914, in Great Bend, Kan., to Dave T. and Agnes Smith.
Mr. Smith was a craftsman and an active, artistic and multi-talented individual, making all kinds of original crafts.
He was a faithful and loving husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie; sons, DeWayne and Darrell; daughter, Debra Gentile; sister, Lenora; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69 in Prescott Valley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, with Pastor Ed McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Gardens.

M. Lucille McIntyre
M. Lucille McIntyre, 90, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Jackson, Mich., to William L. and Chloe Laurenda (Laycock) Harvey.
Mrs. McIntyre had lived in Prescott for the past three years.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Perkins of Prescott; sons, Dale of Houston, Texas, and Duane of Statesville, N.C.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Jackson, Mich.

Regina Baughn
Regina Theresa Baughn, 79, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born July 13, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Adolbert and Mary (Pietzak) Mikolajzak.
Mrs. Baughn and her husband, Ernest were married on Dec. 26, 1948. She worked for 10 years as a payroll clerk in the Department of Defense, retiring in 1979. She and her husband lived in California for many years, and moved to Prescott from Camarillo in 1979.
She was a good housekeeper, enjoyed sewing and reading good books, and loved pets. She helped her husband run their Indian jewelry store in Prescott.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest "Jim" of Prescott; son, Gary of Austin, Texas; sister, Eleanor Isachsen of El Cajon, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Mary Stover
Mary Elizabeth Stover, 82, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born May 23, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, to Dana and Della (Sawyers) Stover.
Mrs. Stover retired after 25 years with the State of California. She was a long-time Prescott resident, and was a member of the Lioness Club.
Survivors include her husband, Jack; daughter, Debra Kelley of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Gallatin, Tenn., and Jean Chambers of Culver City, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennie Myers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Willow Hills First Southern Baptist Church, 1071 Mogollon Road, with Pastor John Ewart officiating. Inurnment will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Prescott Lions Club, or to a charity of one's choice.

Donald Hayes
Donald Danford Hayes, 80, a Dewey resident, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Deming, N.M., to Richard and Margaret (Danford) Hayes.
Mr. Hayes married Meddie Wolfe on July 29, 1937, in Mesilla Park in Las Cruces, N.M. He retired from Snap-on Tools in 1984 in Phoenix.
Mr. Hayes was a member of Arizona Lodge No. 2 F&AM and Elks Lodge No. 335 in Phoenix.
Survivors include his wife, Meddie, of Dewey and daughter, Naoma Fraiser.
Cremation took place at Sunrise Crematory.

Mary Perry
Mary D. Perry, 88, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born May 5, 1911, in San Marcos, Texas, to Julien D. and Clara (Dailey) Cook.
Mrs. Perry came to Arizona from Texas in a covered wagon in 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Sr., and son, Benjamin Jr.
She is survived by her granddaughters, Amy Toms of Phoenix and Katy Perry of California; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Arizona Pioneers' Home Cemetery, with Chaplain Stanley Glover officiating.

Dysart Murphy
Dysart R. Murphy, 96, a life-long resident of Arizona, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at his home in Chino Valley.
He was born May 28, 1903, in Phoenix, to Ralph and Winifred (Dysart) Murphy. He was the grandson of W.J. Murphy, an early pioneer and developer of Phoenix.
Mr. Murphy worked for the Arizona Highway Patrol in Phoenix for most of his working life, retiring in 1963. He and his wife, Elma, moved to Chino Valley and raised alfalfa, sheep and poultry for 30 years. They had been married 70 years when she died on Oct. 18, 1993. Their son, Ralph, was killed in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Elma Tretheway of Walla Walla, Wash., and Frances Rogers of Bayfield, Colo.; sister, Jane McDaniel of Phoenix; 11 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the family plot in Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix. Pastor Bruce Montroy of the Chino Valley Word of Life Church will officiate.

Johnnye Cox
Johnnye J. Cox, 81, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Prescott Samaritan Village.
She was born April 15, 1918, in Austin, Texas, to John and Mary (Miller) Tyson.
Mrs. Cox worked as a supply cataloger in the Department of Defense, as a division of the U.S. Marine Corps. She had lived in Austria, France, Japan and Alaska. She also worked in the area of intelligence tech/support and supply, and for the Civil Service for more than 30 years, receiving several awards for outstanding service and performance.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed reading, art, and spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Stevens of Prescott, Rebecca Gianino of Georgia, and Kathleen Bloomquist of Wisconsin; sister, Leona Hanna of Prescott; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Interment will be in the family plot of the Cook-Walden Capitol Memorial Park Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
