Margaret Wright
Margaret Olive Wright, 82, died Tuesday, July 6, 1999, in Prescott.
She was born March 6, 1917, in Montrose, Mich., to Anson and Fern Elizabeth (Kerr) Miller.
Mrs. Wright was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. William A. Geiger, an attorney in Flint, Mich.
She was a homemaker, and had been an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts, garden clubs, and Friends and Relatives of the Handicapped while living in Michigan.
She married Arthur B. Wright on May 13, 1939. The couple moved to Sun City West from Flint, Mich., in 1978. They spent summers in Prescott, beginning in 1981, and moved to Prescott full-time in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur of Prescott; son, Leslie of Mesa; daughter, Judith Karlson of Nine Mile Falls, Va.; and two grandchildren.
Private family services will be held, with private cremation at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Stanley Barrington
Stanley K. Barrington, 71, died Friday, July 2, 1999, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1928, to Raymond Darrell and Evelyn (Keithley) Barrington.
Mr. Barrington served 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring Dec. 1, 1967. He continued with the Reserves until Nov. 6, 1977. He married Elma Ingram on May 10, 1969.
The couple moved to the Verde Valley from Lancaster, Calif., on Jan. 5, 1990, and later to Chino Valley, where they lived for several years. They moved to Prescott a couple of months ago.
He was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ and the National Association of Uniformed Services. He loved to play golf, and enjoyed many other sports, such as football and basketball.
Mr. Barrington was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and he didn't miss a single game.
He was proud of his grandchildren. He was a true soldier and a true veteran, who had nothing but good things to say about his time in the service of his country. He will be remembered by the nurses and doctors at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Elma of Prescott; daughter, Sharon Daugherty of Palmdale, Calif.; sons, William Thompson of Chino Valley, and Lee Barrington of Maricopa, Calif.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Prescott Church of Christ, 1495 Rosser St., with the Rev. Don Hooton officiating.
Concluding services with full military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

Edwin Parnell
Edwin M. Parnell, 76, died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 23, 1923, in Somerset, Wis., to Louis Alexander and Marie Antoinette (Germain) Parnell.
Mr. Parnell lived in Sun City, and had a vacation home in Chino Valley.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Eileen Sutton on June 11, 1947. They were married 52 years.
Mr. Parnell worked as a policy and procedures analyst for Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company for 34 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
He enjoyed traveling, meeting new people and seeing new places. He enjoyed golf, and his friends knew him as a good woodworker. He was proud of his family and their many accomplishments.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Sun City; daughter, Mary Parnell-Zalazowski of Salinas, Calif.; sons, Edwin Jr. of Upland, Calif., Alan of Chino Valley, and Tim of San Bernardino, Calif.; sister, Lola Palmer of Sun City Center, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
A private cremation was held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. A funeral Mass is planned for August, in California.

James Benson
James C. Benson, 87, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Dec. 27, 1911, in New Orleans, La.
Mr. Benson worked in construction as a plumber.
He is survived by his friend, Vaughn Allen.

Lawrence Koger
Lawrence "Larry" Koger, 62, of Spring Valley, Calif., died Tuesday, June 22, 1999.
He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Colorado.
Mr. Koger served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was self-employed as a carpenter.
He lived in Prescott, where he worked in real estate, from 1976 to 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Shari of Spring Valley, Calif.; daughter, Laura Kobi of Colorado; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
Services were held on June 25 at the Glen Abbey Mortuary in Bonita, Calif.

Catarino Tapia
Catarino Tapia, 21, died Sunday, June 27, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Feb. 9, 1978, in Mexico, to Agustin Dorantos and Jorita Cielo.
Mr. Tapia worked for Ruger Manufacturing Co. He was liked as a friend by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Agustin Dorantos and Jorita Cielo of California.
A rosary will be said today in California.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Mission San Juan Capistrano in San Juan, Calif.

Myrtle Finucane
Myrtle W. Finucane, 86, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at her home in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Fulton, N.Y., to Jess and Flora (Guppy) Whitney.
Mrs. Finucane moved to Prescott from Rochester, N.Y., in 1968.
She is survived by her cousin, Mary Miller of Deansboro, N.Y.
