Evelyn McKeown
Evelyn McKeown, 78, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Las Fuentes Care Center.
She was born July 16, 1920, in Bloomingdale, Mich., to Guy F. and Bessie I. (Leversee) Beiter.
Mrs. McKeown married Joseph Gordon McKeown on March 22, 1944. He preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1992.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vista, Calif. She loved to travel, visiting new places and meeting new people. She also enjoyed listening to good music. She will be remembered for the many crafts she made, making wonderful gifts for family and friends. She was proud of her family members and their many accomplishments.
Survivors include her sons, Michael of Chino Valley and Jay of Upland, Calif.; sisters, Freda Leedy of Gobles, Mich., and Donna Bell of Otsego, Mich.; brother, Don Beiter of South Haven, Mich.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., with the Rev. Bruce Black officiating.

DeLoris Berberich
DeLoris Marie Berberich, 81, a former Prescott Valley resident, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at North Memorial Hospice Unit in Robbinsdale, Minn.
She was born May 30, 1918, in Sanborn, Minn., to Oscar and Lydia (Dietz) Issackson.
Mrs. Berberich married Norbert J. Berberich on July 19, 1937, in Springfield, Minn., where she worked in a beauty shop.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church ELCA in Prescott Valley. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, embroidery, crossword puzzles, spending time with family and friends, and watching TV, especially game shows and sports.
Survivors include her husband, Norbert of Minnetonka, Minn.; daughter, Karen Kotte of Germantown, Tenn.; sons, Bruce of Tucson and Brian of Plymouth, Minn.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield, Minn., with the Rev. Dave Putz officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be at Springfield City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Emmanuel Lutheran Church ELCA, in care of American National Ins., 8141 Florentine Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314; or to North Memorial Hospice in Robbinsdale, Minn.

James Call
James William Call, 65, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, in Chino Valley.
He was born May 5, 1934, in Clarksburg, W. Va., to Jefferson and Thelma (LeMasters) Call.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Chino Valley; sons, Jeff of Chino Valley and Brad of Riverside, Calif.; daughter, Christy Smitley of Riverside, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
No services are planned.

Claudia Carless
Claudia Bea Carless, 86, died Monday, June 14, 1999, at Peppertree Square in Prescott.
She was born Oct. 27, 1912, in Boaz, Ala., to Eddie A. and Minnie B. (White) Hammett.
Mrs. Carless moved to Sun City West from Arkansas in 1969, and to Prescott in October 1998, to be closer to her daughter.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was proud of her husband and his many accomplishments, as well as her daughters and their families.
Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia Wallace of Prescott, Carol Killingsworth of Corinth, Texas, and Christine Fahey of Lake Dallas, Texas; sisters, Arthel Beard of Boaz, Ala., and Kenny Soldin of Tucson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A private cremation was held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, and inurnment will be in Boaz, Ala.

Anna Breon
Anna Katherine Breon, 91, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at the Arizona Pioneers' Home.
She was born March 16, 1908, in Bellevue, Ohio, to Howard and Clara (Foeller) Richards.
Mrs. Breon moved to Phoenix from Ohio in 1946, and to Prescott in 1969. She enjoyed quilting, and had hand-quilted a bedspread for each of her grandchildren. She also did embroidering and sewing, and she enjoyed listening to music. She was proud of her children and their accomplishments.
Survivors include her son, John of Beulah, Colo.; daughters, Nancy Anderson of Gilbert, Shirley Hineman of Prescott Valley, and Nina Breon of Phoenix; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Private burial was at Mountain View Cemetery.

Andrew Jackson
Andrew Franklin Jackson, 74, died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Burbank, Calif., to Thomas F. and Angela M. (Duggan) Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Navy pilot veteran. He worked as a cinematographer at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Calif., for 45 years, working on such series as "Dragnet," "Maverick," "The Rockford Files," and others.
He married Patricia R. Hoffmann on Dec. 10, 1972. She preceded him in death in February of this year.
After his retirement, in 1987, he moved to Florida, then moved to the Prescott area in 1992. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, animals, and his work in the studios. He was proud of his wife and family.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathleen Gray of Prescott and Eileen Gray-Norman of Riverside, N.J.; and one grandchild.
Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, with scattering at sea at a later date.

Carl Rawdon Jr.
Carl Earland Rawdon Jr., 74, died Monday, June 14, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Akron, Ohio, to Carl Earland Rawdon Sr. and Viola (Coughnour) Rawdon.
Mr. Rawdon married Louise Rosaner on July 25, 1958, in Estes Park, Colo. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of St. Germaine's Catholic Church in Prescott Valley, the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Fort Logan, Colo., and the Disabled American Veterans in Denver, Colo.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of Prescott Valley; sons, Mark of Mesa, and William Umpleby of Golden, Colo.; daughters, Dayna Pollock of Denver, Colo., and Sandra Ludwikowski of North Augusta, S.C.; sister, K. Jane Brown of Largo, Fla.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Fort Logan, Colo.

Katie Blackburn
Katie B. Blackburn, 87, died Friday, June 11, 1999, at the Arizona Pioneers' Home.
She was born April 16, 1912, in Delight, Ark., to Horace E. and Alice (McFadden) Humphrey.
Mrs. Blackburn worked as a nurse. She moved to Prescott from Bishop, Calif., in 1942. She worked for the Yavapai County Hospital and the Arizona Pioneers' Home. She was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Nolles of Phoenix; sons, Tomas and Fran Zuern, both of Tucson; brother, Woodrow Humphrey of Ontario, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1982.
Private services will be held at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.
