MURIEL CAROLYN LOUISE SNIDER
MURIEL SNIDER OF POPLAR BLUFF, MISSOURI, WAS BORN NOVEMBER 12, 1923, IN BRAGG CITY, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE ROBERT AND ELIZABETH (CHEEK) WINTERS. MURIEL DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT DOCTORS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER IN POPLAR BLUFF ON MARCH 19, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-SIX YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND SEVEN DAYS.
MURIEL WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE MILLARD E. SNIDER ON AUGUST 3, 1950, IN PICKETT, ARKANSAS.
MURIEL IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, ROBERT SNIDER AND WIFE JONI OF ST. LOUIS, RONNIE SNIDER OF POPLAR BLUFF, THREE DAUGHTERS, ANNIE SANDERS AND HUSDAND VERNON "RED" OF BELLEVIEW, JANET HEMBY AND HUSBAND JACKIE OF STEELVILLE, KAREN BROCK AND HUSBAND BILLY OF MALDIN, TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN, FIFTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, ARTHUR W. BAUM, ONE DAUGHTER, CLETA SULLIVAN, THREE GRANDDAUGHTERS, FOUR BROTHERS, DION F., RUBEN C., WILLIAM W., AND WALTER R. WINTERS, SIX SISTERS, VIOLET B. LEE BABCOCK, WINNIE MAE BRECHEEN, LENNIE V. WINTERS, LILLIAN P. WINTERS, VIOLET BABCOCK FOWLER AND VIOLA WINTERS BABCOCK.
MURIEL WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE NEW HOME GENERAL BAPTIST CHURCH OF POPLAR BLUFF.
MURIEL ENJOYED COLLECTING OWLS AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO. SHE WAS AN AVID READER AND HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR READING THE HOLY BIBLE AND DAILY DEVOTIONAL BOOKS. MURIEL HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND MADE MANY PHONE CALLS TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THEM.
VISITATION WAS HELD WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 2000, FROM 5:30 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED AT 1:00 P.M., THURSDAY, MARCH 23, AT DUCK CREEK CEMETERY IN PUXICO, MISSOUR, WITH PASTOR CALVIN BUHLER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN DUCK CREEK CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, JEFF HEMBY, JEROME SANDERS, JERRY LEE DANIELS, ROBBIE SNIDER, KEVIN HARMON, DANNY BROWERS, JACKIE LEE HEMBY AND MICHAEL LEMP.
