Donald Eaton
Donald R. Eaton, 59, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Oct. 25, 1939, in N. Thetford, Vt., to Russell and Elizabeth (Powell) Eaton.
Mr. Eaton graduated from Thetford Academy in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army, from 1960 to 1964. After his discharge, he made his living as a trucker, until 1971, when he moved to Arizona with his wife, Betty.
He was gifted with a variety of skills, and had worked as a uranium driller, concrete worker, had owned his own trucking business and owned Don's Septic Tanks at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell, and his mother, Beth.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of Prescott Valley; son, Ralph of Phoenix; stepsons, Everett Larocque of Prescott Valley and Henry Larocque of Junction City, Kan.; daughters, Sylvia Bingham of Roswell, N.M., and Heidi Hester of Flagstaff; stepdaughter, Marie Hover of Flagstaff; brothers, Samuel, Russell and Thomas, all of Thetford, Vt., Robert of Greensboro, Mass. and Keith of Flagstaff; sister, Emily of Thetford, Vt.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Inurnment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix.

Pat Luedecke
Pat Luedecke, 77, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Eldorado, Texas, to Sam and Alley (Luther) Luedecke.
Mr. Luedecke loved serving his country while in the military. He was a loving husband, stepfather, brother and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be missed.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Rita Sherwood; stepsons, Richard and Brad; sisters, Ina Turner of Texas and Jane Christen of California; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Edna Sharpes
Edna Ruth Sharpes, 70, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, in Prescott Valley.
She was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Wendling, Ore., to Homer and Vada (Wilcoxen) Mills.
Mrs. Sharpes and her husband, Clarence, were married June 16, 1978, in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She worked as a medical clerk, retiring in 1993 from Cottage Grove, Ore. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the owner of Judd's Ceramics in Prescott Valley.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Prescott Valley; son, Gary Faber of Kailua, Hawaii; daughters, Sandra Shay of Tulsa, Okla., and Elizabeth Medeiros of Lawton, Okla.; sisters, Rosemary Hiebechuk of Springfield, Ore., Wynona Drowley of Atlanta, Ga., and Verdene Brown of Ore.; and five grandchildren.
No services will be held.

Robert Haskell
Robert Haskell, 83, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in Prescott.
He was born March 10, 1915, in Painesville, Ohio, to Deo T. and May (McDonnell) Haskell.
Mr. Haskell retired from the Diamond Shamrock Corp. with over 43 years of service. He was a member of the Prescott Country Club for 22 years, and was active in the Men's Golf Association and the Property Owners Association.
He served as a Navy diver on the USS Fulton during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty of Dewey; son, Robert of Virginia; daughter, Suzanne Morse of Dewey; and three grandchildren.
Services will be private.

George Wiese
George Raymond Wiese, 86, of Prescott, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Portland, Ore., to J.F. and Sarah (Robertson) Wiese.
Mr. Wiese is survived by his son, John of Silverdale, Wash.
Private cremation was at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Jane Oswald
Jane K. Oswald, 92, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at the Meadow Park Care Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1906, in Texarkana, Texas, to Charles and Muriel (Wells) Kipple.
Mrs. Oswald worked as a railroad accounting clerk. She moved to Tucson from Houston, Texas, in 1972, and to Prescott in 1977.
She enjoyed being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, in 1949.
Survivors include her brother, Charles Kipple of Texarkana, Ark., and sisters, Dorothy Harwell and Marjorie German, both of Prescott.
No services are planned. Inurnment will be next to her husband, at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix.

Goldie Lawrence
Goldie Wesley Lawrence, 84, of Long Beach, Calif., a former long-time Prescott resident, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
She was born March 13, 1914, in McLean, Ky., to Walter and Roda (Farris) Dexter.
Mrs. Lawrence was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time friend to many, and she will be missed.
Survivors include her daughters, Michael Van Denabel of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., Jermell Drinnell of Gautier, Miss., and Nancey Hicks of Cave Springs, Mo.; sons, Harvey of Sierra Vista and Daryl of Barstow, Calif.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Memory Chapel Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave.

Helen Bowers
Helen Thomas Bowers, 90, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, Wash.
She was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mrs. Bowers will be remembered with love by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1964, in Prescott, and by her son, John Jr., in 1994, in Phoenix.
Survivors include her son, Edward of Chandler; daughter, Ann Curtis of Bellevue, Wash.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Prescott.
