Jeanette Duke
Jeanette "Jeanie" Marie Duke, 51, of Prescott Valley, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Phoenix.
She was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Blackwell, Okla., to Robert and Joyce Jeanette (Rancier) Shouse.
Mrs. Duke graduated from Blackwell High School in Blackwell, Okla., May 26, 1967. She moved to Arizona in 1984 and had worked as a greens keeper for Prescott Country Club and Quailwood Golf Course in Dewey.
She married Jeff Duke on Jan. 7, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 3600 Women's Auxiliary, and was vice-president at the time of her death.
Mrs. Duke is survived by her husband, Jeff; daughters, Sharron Wild, Rebecca Day and Randi Lynn; brother, Robert Shouse of Blackwell, Okla.; parents, Robert and Joyce Shouse of Braman, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, with Pastor Bob Hanson officiating. Burial will follow the service at 2 p.m. at the Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix.

Jeannine Maloney
Jeannine C. Maloney, 69, of Prescott, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Prescott.
She was born May 25, 1930, in Waukegan, Ill., to John and Alvina (Steinsdoerfer) Barle.
Mrs. Maloney was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, William; daughter, Margaret Greenhill of Wisconsin; son, John of Texas; and two grandchildren.
Private services will be held. A gathering of friends will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the VFW on Arizona Street.

Jerry Hale
Jerry Ray Hale, 43, of Cordes Lakes, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, in Cordes Lakes.
He was born May 6, 1956, in Wichita, Kan., to William and DeAun Hale.
Mr. Hale married Sandra Russom on June 22, 1996. They lived in Peoria until recently when they moved to Cordes Lakes.
He was known as a "Jack of all trades" who could fix most anything, and he loved spending time with his dogs. He was always there for his family and friends.
Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, J.J. of Washington State and Tommy O'Brien of Cordes Lakes; daughter, Samantha Meyer of Cordes Lakes; brothers, William Jr. of Raleigh, N.C., Jeffrey of Chandler, Bob of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Larry of Lake Hiawatha, N.J.; sisters, Karen Tessaro of Marysville, Wash., Dana Smith of Chandler, Ola Paton and Janice Smith, both of Wichita, Kan.; and mother and stepfather, DeAun and Don Primeau.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Community Bible Church in Cordes Lakes, with Pastor Russell Konves officiating.

Dan Kilkenny
Dan Kilkenny, 79, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at his home in Prescott.
He was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Leetonia, Ohio, to George and Elizabeth (McGrath) Kilkenny.
Mr. Kilkenny served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict, and then served in the Naval Reserves until his retirement in 1980.
He married Patricia Nicholson on Dec. 5, 1945. He worked as a supply management analyst for the U.S. government for 20 years, retiring in September of 1979.
Mr. Kilkenny received a bachelor's degree from Miami of Ohio, and a master's from George Washington University. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, past president of the Kiwanis clubs in Annadale, Va., and Prescott, the Optimists in Florida, and a founding member of Yavapai Learning Institute.
He was a member of S.C.O.R.E. in Washington, D.C., and in Arizona, and the Retired Officers Association. He ser-ved on the board of directors of New Adventures Child Development Center and the USS Rushmore Association.
Mr. Kilkenny was proud of his service to his church as lector, and the overcoming of his physical handicaps.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia; daughter, Katherine Blackmore of Northport, Fla.; brother, George of Creston, Ohio; and one grandchild.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury, Prescott, with the Rev. Fred LeClaire, C.M.F., presiding.
Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Jane Duescher
Jane Duescher, 72, of Prescott Valley, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.
She was born July 8, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to Charles and Grace (Lippoth) Paine.
Mrs. Duescher worked as a postmistress for the U.S. Post Office for 21 years. She married William R. Cooper Sr. on July 6, 1946. They were married for 26 years before his death in September of 1972.
She married Norman Duescher on Oct. 17, 1986, and shared two years of marriage until his death in February of 1989.
Mrs. Duescher then moved from Midland, Mich., to Prescott Valley. She was a member of the Lutheran church and loved to travel. She enjoyed collecting stamps and sharing her knowledge of stamps with school children. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Kowalski of Whittier, Calif., and Grace Cooper of Midland, Mich.; sons, William Cooper of Prescott Valley and John Cooper of Grayson, Ga.; sisters, Edith Larson of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Grace Roberts of Wyandotte, Mich.; brother, Charles Paine of Trenton, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Private cremation will be held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, with inurnment at a later date in Michigan.

Robert Dillon
Robert H. "Mutt" Dillon, 81, of Chino Valley, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Prescott.
He was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Enid, Okla., to Cosma and Eva (Simmons) Dillon.
Mr. Dillon was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters, Lee Head of Phoenix, Jeanne Hicks of Prescott and Susan Baker of Delta, Colo.; brothers, Paul of Chino Valley and Roy of Mountain Ranch, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Chino Valley Cemetery in Chino Valley.

LaVerne Fritz
LaVerne F. Fritz, 76, of Prescott Valley, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in Phoenix.
He was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Wataga, Ill., to Edgar and Esther (Lundeen) Fritz.
Mr. Fritz worked for the Maytag Corp. for 30 years in Galesburg, Ill., retiring in 1989. He moved to Prescott Valley in 1990 from Manmouth, Ill.
He loved woodworking and gardening.
Mr. Fritz is survived by his wife, Mildred; son, Edwin of Prescott Valley; daughter, Sheryl Painter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Robert of Galesburg, Ill.; and sisters, Faye Cummings and Dorothy Brown, both of Manmouth, Ill., and Mary Switzer of San Diego, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael, in 1974, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and one sister.
Services will be private for the family.

Rita Kassel-Wilson
Rita Marie Kassel-Wilson, 72, of Prescott Valley, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, in Prescott.
She was born May 31, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to James and Albina Kassel.
Mrs. Kassel-Wilson worked in a plastics factory. She moved to Prescott Valley in 1988 from Stickney, Ill.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Crowley of Plainfield, Ill.; son, Joseph Kasel of Fayette, Iowa; sister, Etta Dawson; and four grandchildren.
A private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, with burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, Ill.
