Walter Stubblefield
Walter Perry Stubblefield, 91, of Dewey, died Tuesday, August 12, 1997, in Phoenix. He was born in Hugo, Oklahoma.
Mr. Stubblefield was the owner of Stubblefield Landscaping in Dewey.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Inez Stubblefield; daughters, Barbara Ann Reed and Darlene Stubblefield; son, Gary Wayne Stubblefield; sisters, Toni Boles and Velma Aulger; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Green Acres Chapel of Light, in Scottsdale.
Luverne Knutson
Luverne A. Knutson, 76, died Wednesday, August 13, 1997, in Prescott. She was born September 23, 1920, in Starbuck, Minnesota, to Henry and Milla Hanson.
Mrs. Knutson will be remembered by many friends in Arizona, California and Minnesota, as well as RV friends throughout the Southwest.
Mrs. Knutson is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lowell; daughters, Patricia Lindsey of Columbus, Ohio, and Becky Raabe of Flagstaff; son, Thomas Knutson of W. Chicago, Illinois; sister, Mavis Schwartz of Watertown, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Mrs. Knutson's life was celebrated at a memorial service at Sunrise Funeral Home.

Rufus Moses
Rufus Eugene Moses, 69, died August 16, 1997, at his home in Spring Valley. He was born October 3, 1927, in Bingen, Arkansas, to Jewel and Myrtis (Harper) Moses.
Mr. Moses moved to Spring Valley from Phoenix in 1979. He was employed by Mountain Bell Phone Company as a test board operator until he retired in 1983. Rufus enjoyed doing anything that was outside.
Mr. Moses is survived by his loving wife of almost 35 years, Mary; daughters, Gail Burdine of Phoenix, Marsha Griffith of Dewey, Lynn Ware of Camden, Arkansas, Gena Sue of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Terry Wright of Texarkana, Arkansas; sons, James M. Griffith of El Dorado, Arkansas, John Griffith of Avondale, Arizona, and Mark Griffith of Mesa, Arizona; brothers, Jay Moses of Spring Valley and Bill Moses of Magnolia, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Church of Latter Day Saints in Spring Valley.

Mary Herzog
Mary Herzog, 67, of Prescott Valley, died Monday, August 18, 1997, in Scottsdale. She was born April 2, 1930, in Troy, New York, to James and Ada (Shaver) Beale.
Mrs. Herzog worked for several years in the food service department of the Troy City School District, and retired in 1996. She married Joseph Herzog on December 19, 1953, in Troy, New York, and they moved to Prescott Valley last year.
Mrs. Herzog is survived by her husband, Joseph of Prescott Valley; sons, Carl Herzog of Scotia, New York, Thomas Herzog of Delomar, New York, Joseph Herzog of Albany, New York, and Michael Herzog of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Katherine Rubin of Freehold, New Jersey, and Karen Leet of Clifton Park, New York; a sister, Beverly Lyman of Mt. Clemens, Michigan; a brother, John Beale of Troy, New York; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Vera Howes.
A memorial service was held at St. Germaine Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Yeager officiating.

Charles Baines
Charles H. Baines, 77, died Tuesday, August 5, 1997, at his home in Glendale, Arizona.
Mr. Baines was a resident of Mayer for 21 years. He was active in the Mayer Volunteer Fire Department and ambulance service.
Mr. Baines served on the Mayer School Board and was the president of the library board. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Mr. Baines is survived by his wife, Laura; daughter, Diana Lamb; and three grandchildren.
Private services have been held.

Victor Eason
Victor Daniel Eason, 56, pastor evangelist, missionary and resident of Prescott Valley, died Friday, August 22, 1997, at the home of Pastor and Mrs. Harold Warner in Tucson. He was born July 5, 1941, in Los Angeles, to Arthur and Jean (Nichols) Eason.
After being raised in an orphanage from the age of three to the age of 18, he entered the U.S. Air Force and served four years. After many years in management of claims departments for various insurance companies, Pastor Eason graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Bible College in 1981, at the age of 40.
Pastor Eason had been involved in the mission field in Glasgow, Scotland; Kisumu, Kenya, and Lusaka, Zambia, since his graduation from Bible College.
After Pastor Eason and his beloved wife, Wilma, returned to America from the mission field in Lusaka in 1997, he was informed that he had terminal cancer.
The family is grateful to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Prescott and Tucson for their care and provision during his illness. Special thanks and appreciation also go to the Potter's House Christian Fellowship Church of Prescott, The Door CFC in Zwolle, Holland, and The Door CFC in Tucson, during his time of need.
Pastor Eason is survived by his loving wife, Wilma, and a son, Victor Dee Eason.
A funeral service was held at The Potter's House Christian Fellowship Church in Prescott with the Rev. Wayman Mitchell officiating. A visitation preceded the service at the church. Interment followed the service at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.

Charles Dudley
Charles Dudley, 91, of Prescott, died Saturday, August 23, 1997, at his home. He was born August 8, 1906, in Los Angeles, to Charles and Ethel Dudley.
Mr. Dudley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Charlie's Bar in Los Angeles for many years. He married Agnes Ketchum on May 23, 1941, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Dudley enjoyed baseball and was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a member of St. Germaine Catholic Church in Prescott Valley.
He is survived by his friends, Donald and Beverly of Prescott Valley.
A scripture service was held at the Sunrise Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Yeager officiating. Burial was held at Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.

Dana Glatfelter
Dana Jean Glatfelter, 19, of Prescott Valley, died Tuesday, August 26, 1997, at her home. She was born December 27, 1977, in Bayfield, Colorado to Michael Glatfelter and Barbara (Lewison) Haley.
Dana worked at Hastings Entertainment Warehouse in Prescott as a video assistant. She moved to Prescott Valley from Big Bear City, California in February, 1994.
Dana was a young woman who loved life and for the brief years she lived she gave far more than she received. Dana would always go out of her way to help her friends. She will be greatly missed by both her family and friends.
Dana is survived by her parents, Barbara and Russell Haley of Prescott Valley; natural father, Michael Glatfelter, of California; brother, David Glatfelter, of San Jose, California; sisters, Samantha Beason, of Poway, California, and Mimi Haley of Santa Ysabel, California; and grandparents, Grama Jean, Grama Mary, Grama Annie. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services were held Sunday, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce Humphrey officiating. A private cremation was held at Mountain View Crematory in Prescott.
