ELNORA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO JESSE M. BOYD IN POTOSI, MISSOURI ON MARCH 21, 1947. JESSE PRECEDED ELNORA IN DEATH ON JANUARY 1, 1983 .
ELNORA LEAVES TO SURVIVE HER ONE SISTER, CATHERINE VAUGHN OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI; THREE BROTHERS, QUENTIN VAUGHN AND WIFE MATTIE OF ALBANY, GEORGIA, JAMES O. VAUGHN OF PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA, CORBITT VAUGHN OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, A VERY DEAR FRIEND, EDWINA MONROE OF POTOSI AND A NUMBER OF NIECES, NEPHEWS, OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
ELNORA HAD ACCEPTED CHRIST AS HER SAVIOR AND WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE POTOSI UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.
ELNORA HAD BEEN EMPLOYED AT THE POTOSI WAL-MART FOR 21 YEARS PRIOR TO HER RETIREMENT.
A KIND AND LOVING WOMAN WHO CHERISHED MANKIND AND ALWAYS HAD THE WELFARE OF OTHERS ON HER MIND. A CHEERFUL SMILE SHE WORE, A NOD OF HER HEAD SHE GAVE, A FRIEND SHE WAS TO ALL WHO KNEW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2000, FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SATURDAY, APRIL 29, 2000, AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND BOB BULLOCK OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN REDBUD MEMORIAL GARDENS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.

AL WEISS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 28, 1912, IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE ALFRED JOSEPH AND GERTRUDE (CHRISMER) WEISS. AL DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON APRIL 27, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-SEVEN YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND THIRTY DAYS.
AL WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO JOYCE M. STUDDARD ON FEBRUARY 7, 1948, IN LEADWOOD, MISSOURI.
AL IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE JOYCE WEISS OF POTOSI, ONE DAUGHTER, SUSAN HUFF AND HUSBAND EVERETT OF POTOSI, FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, NANCY MCMAHAN AND HUSBAND RANDY OF POTOSI, ALAN HUFF AND WIFE TERESA OF TUCSON, Arizona, JOHN HUFF AND WIFE DONNA OF KANSAS CITY, JULIE HUFF OF POTOSI, AMY HUFF OF POTOSI, FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, JACOB AND ABBEY MCMAHAN, MARGARET AND MACKLIN HUFF, TWO SISTERS, SYLVIA HUTCHINGS OF SULLIVAN, LUCILLE NETTMAN OF ST. LOUIS AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
AL HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR THE MANY GIFTS OF MOTHER NATURE AND ENJOYED GARDENING, HUNTIN AND FISHING. AL LOVED TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS TO RECORD THE MEMORIES OF HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE ENJOYED WATCHING SPORTS ON TELEVISION. AL HAD GREAT PRIDE IN HIS CAREER AS AN UPHOLSTERER AND ALWAYS TOOK TIME TO TALK TO HIS CUSTOMERS.
AL HAD ACCEPTED CHRIST AS HIS SAVIOR AND WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE POTOSI SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH. HE HAD SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY FROM 1942 TO 1945.
VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, APRIL 28, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED AT 11:00 A.M. AT POTOSI SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH WITH REVEREND JOHN EDWARDS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN CALEDONIA METHODIST CEMETERY.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, NORMAN BOWLES, RUSSELL BREAKFIELD, JOHN O'HANLON, RON THOMLINSON, NORMAN FORBES AND HARRY PUCKETT.

HARRY RUSSELL SMITH OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN MONDAY, JULY 27, 1914, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE WALTER AND JOSEPHINE (MONTGOMERY) SMITH. HARRY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY-FOUR YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND FIFTEEN DAYS.
HARRY WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE MARGARET (PINSON) SMITH ON AUGUST 15, 1936, IN CHESTER, ILLINOIS, AND TO THIS UNION ONE SON WAS BORN.
HARRY IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON, RUSSELL SMITH AND WIFE JUANITA OF POTOSI, TWO GRANDCHILDREN JANET FAGAN AND HUSBAND TOM OF POTOSI, BRYAN SMITH OF ST. LOUIS, THREE GREAT GRANDDAUGHTERS, KATIE, HEATHER AND KELLY FAGAN ALL OF POTOSI, ONE BROTHER, MARION SMITH AND WIFE FRAN OF IRONTON AND BY SISTERS-IN-LAW, BROTHERS-IN-LAW, MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS, GREAT NIECES AND GREAT NEPHEWS OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS AND WIFE HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE HALF BROTHERS, LESTER, JOHN AND ED HILLEN.
HARRY WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE FELLOWSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH AND VERY DEVOTED TO ITS WORDS AND TEACHINGS. PRIOR TO HARRY'S RETIREMENT HE HAD WORKED FOR THE POTOSI AUTO PARTS STORE FOR MANY YEARS. FARMING WAS HIS LOVE AND ENJOYMENT IN LIFE BOTH PRIOR TO AND AFTER RETIREMENT.
A KIND AND LOVING FATHER, GRANDFATHER, GREAT GRANDFATHER, BROTHER AND DEAR FRIEND, WHO WILL SADLY BE MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM.
VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.

EAVERET MURPHY OF TIFF, MISSOURI, WAS BORN DECEMBER 1, 1937, IN TIFF, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE JOSEPH AND SADIE (BROWN) MURPHY. EAVERET DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT BARNES JEWISH MEDICAL CENTER ON APRIL 28, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND TWENTY- SEVEN DAYS.
EAVERET IS SURVIVED BY TWO BROTHERS, CHARLES MURPHY OF TIFF, CARL MURPHY OF TIFF, TWO SISTERS, VERNICE COLE OF ST. LOUIS, SILVERINE SULLIVAN OF BOONVILLE AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO BROTHER, JOSEPH AND ROY MURPHY AND BY ONE SISTER, CAROLYN COLEMAN.
EAVERET ENJOYED LONG WALKS IN THE WOODS, MUSHROOM HUNTING, DURING HIS YOUNGER YEARS EAVERET TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN HUNTING AND FISHING. EAVERET ENJOYED RELAXING WHILE READING RELIGIOUS ARTICLES.
EAVERET HAD SERVED HIS COUNTRY IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE.
