Sherry Kay Couepel, 48, of Apache Junction passed away Thursday, December 9, 2004. Mrs. Couepel, a caregiver, was born in American Fork, Utah. She is survived by her husband Marc, daughters Jennifer and Rosanna Court, sons Jason and Brandon Court, parents Carlos and LaDonna Taylor, sister Colene, brother Steve and 2 grandchildren. Ray Junior Hamblin
Ray Hamblin, a former Apache Junction resident, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Cashmere Convalescent Center in East Wenatchee, Washington. He was born in McLean, Illinois to Claude and Leona (Pickett) Hamblin and resided on the family farm with his nine brothers and sisters - Alva (deceased), Elza (deceased), Fern (deceased), Edna, Carl, Homer, Leona, Neva (deceased) and Lyle.
Ray, a proud American, joined the Air Force in 1949 and completed his basic training in Texas and was stationed in Spokane, Washington.
After his marriage to Kay Veach, the couple was stationed in England where they enjoyed the sights and experiences of Europe.
After completing his enlistment in the military, he returned to the family farm for a brief period of time
before driving out west and eventually settling in Kellogg, Idaho.
Ray was a man of many talents and skills and worked in a variety of jobs - including the Bunker Hill Company, Sunshine Mining Company and even his own used car lot. In his retirement, Ray enjoyed traveling and exploring the United States. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, billiards and other sports. He could quote sport trivia like no one else!
He was the favorite “Uncle Ray” among all of his nieces and nephews. His life was blessed four-fold with his daughters - Carol, Cathy, Connie and Carla. His blessings increased with his 12 grandchildren - Brett, Cassandra, Christopher, Jana, Jasmine, Jennifer, Johanthan, Joshua, Michael, Steven, Tiffany and Tonya.
He leaves us to join his parents, brothers and sisters and daughter, Cathy McCalester. He is survived by his daughters - Carol (Larry) Harvey of Federal Way, Washington, Connie (John) Divis of East Wenatchee, Washington and Carla (Mark) Mulalley of Columbia, South Carolina. Arrangements were assisted by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, Wash.
William Robert Skinner
William Robert Skinner, 79, of Apache Junction passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004. Mr. Skinner, a mechanic, was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is survived by his wife Murvine. Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.
David Strait
David Strait, 43, of Apache Junction passed away Friday, December 3, 2004. Mr. Strait, a construction laborer, was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by his father Gerald Strait, sister Geraldine (David) Duddy, brothers Jerry Lee Strait, Gerald Strait Jr., and Oscar Strait, nephews Dave Jr., Rickie, Oscar Jr., Steven and niece Tina. Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.
Earl Feda
Earl Feda, 85, formerly of Belle River, MN, died November 30, 2005 in Mesa, AZ. He was born May 31, 1920 in Belle River to Charles and Caroline (Blank) Feda.
He attended grade school in Belle River and, as a young man, drove a truck for VJ Muyers of Carlos. He served four years in the Civilian Conservation Corps in Idaho and Washington. He was in the U. S. Army from November 6, 1941 to November 14, 1945 and was stationed in Iceland and later in the European Theater during World War II.
In July 1943 he married Dorothy Schleiger of Pequot Lakes. They had two children, Marliss and Willard (Bill). After returning from WW II, Earl and Dorothy made their home in Carlos and later moved to a farm in Belle River. Earl also worked road construction as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic during these years. He later worked for Texas Refinery as a salesman and built several houses in the local area.
In 1976 Earl and Dorothy moved to Apache Junction, AZ and built their retirement home. Dorothy passed away in 1980 after a long battle with cancer.
In December 1981, Earl married Arlyce (Olsen) Schmidt of Alexandria, MN and they lived in Apache Junction for the next 22 years.
In 2004, after multiple strokes and in failing health, Earl moved into assisted living in Mesa, AZ and Arlyce returned to Alexandria and her family.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Dorothy, and his three brothers, Leon, Glen and Clifford.
He is survived by his wife Arlyce and her family; his daughter Marliss (Clive) Beckmann of Gilbert, AZ; his son Bill (Kathy) Feda of Kodiak, AK, and their family; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Earl enjoyed music, dancing, talking with family and friends, playing cards and driving around just to see the countryside.
A military service is being planned for February 2006 at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
Donations can be sent to his daughter or to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.

Mary Lou Laine, 83, of Apache Junction, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2005. Ms. Laine, a homemaker, was born in Morris, Oklahoma. Apache Junction Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Nellie M. Potts, 90, of Mesa passed away on Monday, December 12, 2005. Mrs. Potts, a secretary, was born in Detroit, Michigan and is survived by her husband Thomas.

Michael John Thimmesch, M.D.
Michael John Thimmesch, MD, 66, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2005. Dr. Thimmesch, a Radiologist, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Thimmesch is survived by his wife Janice; daughters Jennifer (Darin) Schoening and Julie (Victor) Papa; sons Michael (Sharon) and Timothy (Kelly); sister Rosemarie (Don) Birdsall; brother Arnold Charles (Sharon) Thimmesch and grandchildren Jasmine, Darin Jr., Sarah, Michael, Maria, Hailey, Nathan and Caitlyn.
Dr. Thimmesch was preceded in death by his parents Arnold & Rosalie. Services were held December 16, 2005 at St. George’s Catholic Church, Apache Junction.

“Teddy” Treva-Jane Tryon, 79, of Superior, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Mrs. Tryon, an Avon sales rep. was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Tryon is survived by her husband Jim; niece Stacey Dawson and great niece Christina. Services were held at Fairview Cemetery on December 16, 2005. Irineo S. Arriola II
Irineo S. Arriola, II, 86, of Apache Junction, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2005. Mr. Arrioloa, a security guard, was born in Manilla, Philippines and is survived by his wife Rosita; daughters Marilou and Sandra; sons Brando, Irineo III, Andre and ten grandchildren.

Nelson L. Secor Jr., 68, of Apache Junction, Arizona died Sunday, July 24, 2005 in Syracuse, New York. Mr. Secor, a lead custodian for Mesa Public Schools, was born in Rome, New York. Mr. Secor is survived by his wife Louise, sons Nelson III, Mark, Gerald, and Randy, his mother Mary Carrier, sisters Susan and Robin, brothers Clarence, David, and Gerald, 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Helen G. Webb, 91, of Apache Junction Arizona died Saturday, July 30, 2005 in Mesa, Arizona.
Ms. Webb, a licensed Vocational Nurse and supervisor of respiratory and cardio pulmonary lab, was born in Eastland, Texas. She is survived by son G.W., and daughter-in-law Cheri,two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
