Dies of Heart Attack at Age 78
Mrs. Marian Olds, 78, long time resident of the Galesville area, died Thursday night, Jan 8, at Etterick. She had been a resident of Galesville and community all of her life. She went to Etterick a year ago to live with a son by a former marriage, Ralph Hamilton. Six months ago she suffered a stroke and for the past few weeks had been at the Solberg Nursing Home in Etterick, where she died of a heart attack.
Mrs. Olds was born April 8, 1863 in Glasgow community, town of Gale, a Scotch pioneer town, and had settled in the town on move west from Maryland in 1854 (her parents). There were 15 children in the Bibby family, of whom only one, Richard Bibby, of Glasgow, survives. Besides him and her son Ralph, Mrs. Olds is survived by four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, and a step-son, Byron Olds, of the Holman community. Mrs Olds first husband married 57 years ago, was Thomas Kellor Hamilton. He died within four years, leaving her with one child, Ralph. Her second husband, Mr. Olds, died in 1927. Mrs. Olds was a member of the Galesville Presbyterian Church and the Galesville, Relief Corps. Funeral Services at Galesville."
