DONALD WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO JUDY M. SAMPSON ON JULY 22, 1967, IN DESOTO, MISSOURI, AND TO THIS UNION SEVEN CHILDREN WERE BORN.
DONALD IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING WIFE, JUDY M. BOYER OF CADET, FOUR SONS, DONALD DAVID BOYER, II AND WIFE CINDY LANHAM OF DITTMER, KEVIN PAUL BOYER AND WIFE RUTH OF BEAUFORT, ANTHONY BOYER AND WIFE SHAWNA OF CHRISMAN, ILLINOIS, CHRISTOPHER BOYER AND FIANCE' BARB CULLEY OF MINERAL POINT, TWO DAUGHTERS, SANDRA BOYER AND FIANCE' KEVIN RENNICK OF CADET, MELISSA BOYER OF CADET, FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, TWO BROTHERS, TERRY JAMES BOYER AND WIFE MARY LOU OF FESTUS, BERNARD JUNIOR BOYER AND WIFE MONICA OF POTOSI, THREE SISTERS, SHIRLEY ALLISON AND HUSBAND RONALD OF SAN ANGELO, TEXAS, NORMA JEAN DECLUE OF CADET, LINDA BOLEY AND HUSBAND VERNON OF DESOTO, A SISTER-IN-LAW, LINDA SUE BOYER OF DESOTO, PARENTS-IN-LAW, LEO AND LUCILLE SAMPSON OF CADET AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, THOMAS LEE BOYER AND ONE BROTHER, JERRY LEE BOYER.
DONALD WAS A MISSOURI NATIONAL GUARD VETERAN HAVING SERVED FROM FEBRUARY 1966 TO OCTOBER OF 1971. DONALD HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HIS FAMILY AND ESPECIALLY ENJOYED HIS GRANDCHILDREN. HE ENJOYED TAKING TIME TO SPEND FISHING AND HUNTING. DONALD HAD SPENT MANY HOURS DOING GENEALOGY WORK OF HIS FAMILY.
VISITATION WAS HELD MONDAY, JUNE 19, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2000, AT 10:00 A.M. AT ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOACHIM CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, DALE SAMPSON, TOM SAMPSON, JOHN GUENTHER, WILL ROGERS, CHARLIE BROWN, VERNON BOLEY, RON ALLISON AND JOE PETERS. SERVING AS HONORARY PALLBEARER WAS JIM SAMPSON.
FRANK CLARK BALDRIDGE
FRANK CLARK BALDRIDGE OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JULY 24, 1919, IN ALGIER, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE FRANKLIN AND CLARA (NORTHCUTT) BALDRIDGE. FRANK DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME ON JUNE 16, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY YEARS, TEN MONTHS AND TWENTY-THREE DAYS.
FRANK IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON, LARRY BALDRIDGE AND WIFE ELAINE OF CADET, TWO STEP SONS, CHARLES "BOB" TURNER AND WIFE PAT OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TOM TURNER OF BELGRADE, TWO STEP DAUGHTERS, SHARON COLEMAN AND HUSBAND CHARLIE "BUTCH" OF POTOSI, GLENDA BUCKLEY AND HUSBAND DONALD OF BELGRADE, ONE GRANDDAUGHTER, MICHELLE BALDRIDGE OF ST. CLAIR, THIRTEEN STEP GRANDCHILDREN, ONE HALF BROTHER, GEORGE PINSON AND WIFE BETTY OF POTOSI, ONE SISTER, DOLLIE ETHEL EATON OF BOURBON, A SPECIAL NEPHEW, CURTIS MUELLER OF SULLIVAN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FIRST WIFE, DOROTHY NIPPER BALDRIDGE, HIS SECOND WIFE, RUTH MITCHELL TURNER BALDRIDGE, HIS THIRD WIFE, IDA LAWS BALDRIDGE, TWO SISTERS, BESSIE MUELLER, HELEN FROSSARD SHOWMAN, TWO HALF BROTHERS, VIRGIL OSCAR PINSON AND JOHN WILLARD PINSON.
FRANK HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR MAN KIND AND ENJOYED ALL OF HIS FRIENDS, FAMILY AND EXTENDED FAMILY. FRANK ENJOYED TRAVELING AND HAD A WONDERFUL, FUN FILLED VACATION WITH HIS NEPHEW CURTIS. HE ENJOYED FISHING AND MUSHROOM HUNTING. IN HIS LATER YEARS HE LOVED TO SPEND TIME AT THE SAYERS SENIOR CENTER AND PLAY POOL.
VISITATION WAS HELD SUNDAY, JUNE 18, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED MONDAY, JUNE 19, 2000, AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE MOORE CHAPEL WITH ELDER LEONARD COMPTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, MIKE YOUNT, GARY YOUNT, CURTIS MUELLER, TIM TURNER, JIM THOMPSON, LEE TOPPINGS, MIKE MOSIER AND DAVE CORNMAN.
SHELBY EUGENE BRAND
SHELBY EUGENE BRAND OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN APRIL 12, 1937, IN MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE LEO "COTTON" AND THELMA (GLORE) BRAND. SHELBY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT DES PERES HOSPITAL ON JUNE 22, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-THREE YEARS, TWO MONTHS AND TEN DAYS.
SHELBY WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO PEGGY J. DRENNEN ON APRIL 12, 1969 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI.
SHELBY IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING WIFE, PEGGY BRAND OF POTOSI, THREE SONS, RONNIE BRAND AND WIFE KATHY OF POTOSI, MARTY BRAND AND WIFE ANGIE OF POTOSI, TONY HARMON AND WIFE DIANEL OF RICHWOODS, THREE DAUGHTERS, VICKI BRAND OF MINERAL POINT, CHRIS CONWAY AND HUSBAND LINDELL OF POTOSI, SHELBA COLEMAN AND HUSBAND COREY OF MINERAL POINT, FOURTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, THREE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE SISTER, SANDYE GAMBLE OF POTOSI AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE GRANDDAUGHTER, JAMIE BRAND AND ONE BROTHER, HARLAN BRAND.
SHELBY HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS, HIS LOVE AND DEDICATION TO PEOPLE GUIDED HIM THROUGH AN EVENTFUL AND FULFILLING LIFE. SHELBY WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE FORMATION AND CHARTER OF THE MINERAL AREA RESCUE SQUAD WHERE HE HAD DEDICATED MANY HOURS OF TIME TO FURTHER HELP THE MINERAL AREA. SHELBY CONTINUED IN PUBLIC SERVICE BY SERVING IN THE POTOSI FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FOR MANY YEARS AS A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER AND ENGINEER. HE HAD BEEN EMPLOYED BY THE ST. FRANCOIS AND WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENTS. SHELBY WAS A MEMBER OF THE FARMINGTON MASONIC LODGE.
SHELBY ENJOYED GOING PERCH FISHING AND HE WOULD NOT STOP FISHING UNTIL MANY WERE CAUGHT. SHELBY BRAND WILL LONG BE REMEMBERED FOR HIS LOVING HEART, OPEN EARS AND CARING THOUGHTS TO ALL.
VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, JUNE 23, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SATURDAY, JUNE 24, 3000, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND CLAUDE EVANS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN NEW DIGGINS CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI.

PETE "PIERRE" BOYER OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN MAY 19, 1910, IN RACOLA, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE JOHN L. AND MARY ELIZABETH (DECLUE) BOYER. PETE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT POTOSI MANOR NURSING HOME ON JUNE 23, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY YEARS, ONE MONTH AND FOUR DAYS.
PETE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MARY LOUISE COLEMAN ON JUNE 29, 1937, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI, AND TO THIS UNION TEN CHILDREN WERE BORN. LOUISE PRECEDED PETE IN DEATH ON AUGUST 17, 1992.
PETE IS SURVIVED BY THREE SONS, MICHAEL BOYER OF ARNOLD, JOHN L. BOYER AND WIFE NANCY OF POTOSI, DAVID "EDDIE" BOYER AND WIFE CARLA OF TERRE DU LAC, SIX DAUGHTERS, MARY ELIZABETH "BETTY" BOYER OF ST. LOUIS, NANCY SHY OF ST. LOUIS, DOROTHY RODRIQUEZ OF ST. LOUIS, DIANE CROCKER AND HUSBAND KEN OF PARK HILLS, DEBBIE COLEMAN AND HUSBAND JOE OF MINERAL POINT, MELINDA FUCHS AND HUSBAND MARTY OF HIGH RIDGE, TWENTY- TWO GRANDCHILDREN, THIRTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, TWO SISTERS, CATHERINE POLITTE AND HUSBAND EDWIN OF CADET, SISTER MIRIAM (VALERINE) PACE OF ST. PIERRE WAS A MEMBER OF THE ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH FOR MANY YEARS. HE HAD OWNED AND OPERATED POTOSI JEWELRY AND GIFTS FROM 1950 TO 1972. AFTER HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE BUSINESS WORLD PIERRE CONTINUED BEING WITH THE PUBLIC, BECOMING WELL KNOWN FOR HIS STORY TELLING, MUSIC, FOLK LORE, FOLK FIDDLER, PLAYING THE HARMONICA AND LAP STEEL GUITAR PERFORMING EARLY AMERICAN MUSIC AND SONGS. PIERRE ALWAYS HAD TIME FOR ONE TALL TALE, A WHOPPER OR A CHILD OR ANIMAL STORY. PIERRE WAS FLUENT IN THE FRENCH OR ENGLISH LANGUAGE. PIERRE HAD WORKED WITH THE UNIVERSITY TO COLLECT MANY OF THE OLD MINES AREA FRENCH STORIES AND PUBLISHED THEM IN "TALES FROM THE FRENCH FOLK LORE OF MISSOURI." PIERRE HAD BEEN HONORED BY THE SMITHSONIAN, MANY PROMINENT MAGAZINES AND NATIONAL PUBLICATIONS. PIERRE WILL BE LONG REMEMBERED FOR BOTH HIS LOVE, SMILE AND STORIES BY MUSIC AND LANGUAGE IN THE WASHINGTON COUNTY AREA AND ALSO THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.
