GOUGH OF POTOSI, ELIZABETH ANN GOUGH OF POTOSI, DAWN MARIE SHIPMAN AND HUSBAND JOHN OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, TWO GRANDCHILDREN, AMANDA JOSEPHINE GILLAM AND ASHLEY FAYE GILLAM, ONE SISTER, AONA DECLUE OF POTOSI, A SPECIAL NIECE, MELISSA ANN CORDIA AND HUSBAND MIKE, A SPECIAL GREAT NIECE AND NEPHEW, DILLION AND ABIGAIL CORDIA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. PALLA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER MOTHER AND FATHER-IN-LAW, LUELLA AND GENTRY PARKER.
PALLA WAS A 1963 GRADUATE OF THE POTOSI HIGH SCHOOL, A GRADUATE OF THE 1967 CLASS AT THE DEPAUL SCHOOL OF NURSING. HER NURSING CAREER LEAD HER DOWN A BUSY PATH WORKING AT THE DEPAUL HOSPITAL, ST. ELIZABETH HOSPITAL IN BELLVILLE, ILLINOIS, WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, BONNE TERRE HOSPITAL, PARKLAND MEDICAL CENTER AND THE MINERAL AREA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER.
PALLA CHERISHED THE TIME SHE WAS WITH HER GRANDCHILDREN, WHERE SHE ALWAYS HAD TIME FOR A HUG OR A STORY. SHE ENJOYED PLAYING ON THE COMPUTER, SEWING, CROCHETING AND KNITTING. PALLA WAS A GREAT COOK AND ENJOYED FEEDING EVERYONE SHE COULD. PALLA ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO BEING ABLE TO GO FISHING AND CAMPING.
VISITATION WAS HELD MONDAY, AUGUST 7, 2000, FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED TUESDAY, AUGUST 8, 2000, AT 10:00 A.M. WITH FATHER LARRY FERRELL OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN CALVARY CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, PAUL PARKER, RAYMOND PARKER, PAUL VILLMER, KEITH HELMS, MIKE CORDIA, KENNY WILKINSON, NORMAN WILKINSON AND WAYNE WILKINSON.

BEULAH EDNA HORTON OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI WAS BORN THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 1915 IN WORTHAM, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOHN AND NETTIE (DIXON) WELCH. BEULAH DIED THURSDAY, AUGUST 10, 2000 AT HOME AT THE AGE OF EIGHTY-FIVE YEARS, THREE MONTHS AND TWELVE DAYS.
BEULAH WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE ON MAY 15, 1933 IN WORTHAM, MISSOURI TO THE LATE HAROLD B. HORTON.
BEULAH IS SURVIVED BY FIVE DAUGHTERS, BARBARA WHITE AND HUSBAND EMMETT OF PIEDMONT, MISSOURI, BRENDA MCLEOD OF POTOSI, BELINDA MCLEOD AND HUSBAND JOE OF IRONDALE, JOYCE ONEAIL AND HUSBAND EDWARD GALE OF IRONDALE, KAREN BARTON OF IRONDALE; TWO SONS, HAROLD "DALE" HORTON AND WIFE DIANE OF IRONDALE, KENNETH HORTON AND WIFE DEANNA OF BONNE TERRE; THIRTY GRANDCHILDREN, SEVENTY GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND 17 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; FOUR BROTHERS, BILL WELCH OF BISMARCK, WALTER WELCH OF LEBANON, MISSOURI, HOWARD WELCH AND WIFE LINDA OF LEBANON, MISSOURI, RAY WELCH OF LEBANON, MISSOURI; THREE SISTERS, BERTHA LAWSON OF DAVIS CROSSING, MISSOURI, DOROTHY HAYNES OF HAZELWOOD, MISSOURI, VIRGINIA PRESNELL OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI; TWO BROTHERS-IN-LAW, C.P. LILLY OF GUMBO, MISSOURI AND BOB YOUNG OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI; THREE SISTERS-IN-LAW, BETTY HORTON OF IRONDALE, JUNE HAMPTON AND HUSBAND ERNEST OF IRONDALE AND ELEANOR DITTMAN OF DESLOGE AND BY MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND, SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE GRANDSON, ONE GRANDDAUGHTER, ONE GREAT GREAT GRANDSON AND BY ONE SISTER, DORELLA MARTIN.
BEULAH WAS A FIFTY YEAR MEMBER OF THE IRONDALE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH. SHE WAS A DEDICATED MEMBER OF THE CHURCH WHERE SHE TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND WAS TREASURER FOR THE CHURCH. BEULAH LOVED MUSIC AND TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN LEADING THE CHURCH CHOIR.
BEULAH LOVED TO SHARE HER TALENTS IN THE KITCHEN AND ENJOYED COOKING. SHE ALWAYS SHARED HER TALENTS OF QUILTING WITH HER MANY FAMILY MEMBERS.
BEULAH HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WAS ALWAYS PROUD TO GIVE HER TIME BABY SITTING FOR THEM. SHE HAD A LOVING HEART, OPEN ARMS AND A CARING SMILE FOR FAMILY OR FRIENDS.
VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, AUGUST 11, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN IRONDALE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 2000, AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND PAUL DAVID AND REVEREND BOB ADAMS. BURIAL WAS IN BIG RIVER CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, IRONDALE.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, CHRIS HILL, KIRBY SANSOUCIE, PAT HORTON, RON WHITE, JASON MCLEOD, CHARLIE HALBERT, FLOYD PORTELL AND KEVIN TODD.

CLEO JANE HODKINS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN AUGUST 4, 1905, IN STEELVILLE, MISSOURI, A DAUGHER OF THE LATE PHILLIP DOUGLAS AND MARGARET JANE (SAUNDERS) BLOUNT. CLEO DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON AUGUST 18, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY-FIVE YEARS AND FOURTEEN DAYS.
CLEO WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO CHARLES BOVERI ON SEPTEMBER 7, 1929, CHARLES PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ON AUGUST 15, 1953. SHE WAS THEN UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROBERT HODKINS ON JUNE 11, 1955, ROBERT PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ON FEBRUARY 5, 1982.
CLEO IS SURVIVED BY ONE BROTHER, EDWIN "MUTT" BLOUNT OF POTOSI, ONE SISTER, OLLIE WIGGER OF VIBURNUM AND BY MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS, OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. CLEO WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SISTERS, EDNA DULANY, GRACE DICUS AND ELLA A. COLEMAN, BY THREE BROTHERS, GILBERT C. BLOUNT, FRANKLIN T. BLOUNT AND MILTON D. BLOUNT.
CLEO WAS A DEVOTED AND LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE CALEDONIA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. SHE WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE TYRO LODGE ORDER OF EASTERN STAR AND ENJOYED GOING TO HER MANY CLUB MEETINGS. SHE LOVED TO SPEND TIME IN THE OUTDOORS AND ENJOYED THE MANY GIFTS OF MOTHER NATURE. DURING HER RELAXING TIME SHE ENJOYED READING A BOOK OR WATCHING THE SOAPS ON TELEVISION. PRIOR TO HER RETIREMENT CLEO WAS EMPLOYED AT SOUTH WESTERN BELL TELEPHONE AS AN OPERATOR.
CLEO HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR BOTH FAMILY AND FRIENDS, SHE ALWAYS HAD TIME TO LISTEN AND GIVE GENTLE ADVICE.
VISITATION WAS HELD SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 2000, FROM 5:30 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SUNDAY, AUGUST 20, 2000, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND DALE BLOUNT OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN CALEDONIA METHODIST CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE. JEFF BLOUNT, DENNIS BLOUNT, CHARLEY WIGGER, STEVE TROKEY AND DON AKLERS.

ROSEMARY MERRELL OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN FEBRUARY 15, 1931, IN DETROIT, MICHIGAN, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE PRICE ELVIS DALTON AND DIMPLE HELEN (JOBE) GAITHER. ROSEMARY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT JEFFERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON AUGUST 20, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY- NINE YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND FIVE DAYS.
ROSEMARY WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO GEORGE MERRELL ON MAY 15, 1977, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI. GEORGE PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ON APRIL 27, 1999.
ROSEMARY IS SURVIVED BY ONE DAUGHTER, JOANN RULO AND HUSBAND DANNY OF POTOSI, EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN, KELLY KNICHEL OF POTOSI, ROSE SESATA OF ST. LOUIS, SHEILA GOUGH OF POTOSI, DANNY RULO, JR., TAMMY CRAWFORD, TINA THURMOND, MICKEY RULO, AND C.J. KNICHEL TEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN JUSTIN GOUGH, JENNIFER RULO, SANDY KNICHEL, T.J. CRAWFORD, JEREMY THURMOND, DANNY RULO, III, BRETT WOODS, HALEY MCCONNELL, ABBIE THURMOND AND JALYNN RULO, ONE SISTER, SHIRLEY MCCAIN AND HUSBAND JACK OF FERGUSON AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO GRANDSONS, JACK KNICHEL, III AND DEAN KNICHEL, ONE BROTHER, FRED MULL AND ONE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, SANDRA CHARLENE KNICHEL.
ROSEMARY HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND ENJOYED ALL THE ACTIVITIES WITH THEM. SHE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE TIMES CHRISTMAS SHOPPING FOR ALL OF THEM. ROSEMARY LOOKED FORWARD TO HER ANNUAL TRIP TO PONDEROSA. SHE RELAXED AND CHERISHED THE TIMES SHE COULD JUST STAY AT HOME AND WATCH WRESTLING. MANY OF HER HOURS WERE PASSED BY PLAYING YAHTZEE WITH HER FAMILY.
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 22, 2000, FROM 6:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 23, 2000, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE CHAPEL WITH REVEREND JOHN EMILY OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, GLEN CRAWFORD, DAVE SESATA, DANNY RULO, JR., MICKEY RULO, RODNEY THURMOND AND C.J. KNICHEL.
