James Racca
James Patrick Racca, a resident of Porterville, died there Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004. He was an infant.
A visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Myers Chapel. A service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Jim Dieterle of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating.
Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery.
He was the infant son of Hilario Racca Jr., and Julita Bayudan, both of Porterville. He is also survived by his brother, Charlie Bayudan of Porterville; and grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patricia Gililland
Patricia "Pat" Gililland, a resident of Springville, died there Friday, Dec. 3, 2004. She was 73.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Old Porterville Cemetery in Porterville.
Mrs. Gililland was a native of Oakland, and a resident of Springville for 55 years. She worked as a L. V. N. for 10 years. She was a 4-H leader, and she volunteered for the Springville Rodeo, and was affiliated with youth baseball. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and collecting turtles.
She is survived by her husband, Bud Gililland of Springville; two daughters, Donna Smith of Springville and Denise Barnes of Clairmont; one son, Michael Gililland of Springville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Alizey Saldana, a resident of Porterville, died in Madera Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004. She was an infant.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Whitehurst Loyd Chapel in Porterville.
A church service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at La Mision de Jesus Church, 1222 N. Prospect St., Porterville, with Rev. Francisco Lopez officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville.
Evelyn was a native of Porterville.
She is survived by her parents, Jose C. Jr. and Rosalva Saldana, both of Porterville; one sister, Crystal Monique Saldana of Porterville; her grandparents, Nicanor and Felipa Marroquin and Jose C. Sr. and Estella Saldana, all of Porterville; and several aunts and uncles.

Elva Sanders-Bolding
Elva Mae Sanders-Bolding, a resident of Terra Bella, died there Friday, Dec. 2, 2004. She was 81.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel in Porterville.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville.
Mrs. Sanders-Bolding was a native of Sasakwa, Okla., and a previous resident of Lake Isabella. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Porterville, and enjoyed fishing and camping.
She is survived by her husband, John Bolding of Terra Bella; two step-daughters, Vicke Wagner of Sonora and Carol Miller of Tulare; two sons, Jim Sanders of Terra Bella and Jack Sanders of Amity, Ore.; one brother, C. L. "Sonny" McMasters of Bakersfield; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 56 years, J. R. "Jelly" Sanders in 1996.

Larry Don Poole, a resident of Porterville, died there Friday, Dec. 3, 2004. He was 61.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Poole was a native of Oklahoma. He served in the Marine Reserves.
He is survived by one daughter, Renee Perry of Morgan Hill; two sons, Brandon Poole of Porterville and Darin Poole of Visalia; two sisters, Phylis Gallager of Sacramento and Jean Butts of Eugene, Ore.; and two grandchildren.

Delbert Blakely
Delbert Vinson Blakely, a resident of Porterville, died there Friday, Dec. 3, 2004. He was 81.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel in Porterville.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Vandalia Cemetery in Porterville.
Mr. Blakely was a native of Scurry County, Texas, and a resident of Porterville for 19 years, previously of Terra Bella for 28 years. He was a member of the Terra Bella Lions Club. He served in the Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife N. Marie Blakely of Porterville; one daughter, Wanda McCracken of Porterville; three sons, V. Wayne Blakely of Porterville, Ronald Blakely of Las Vegas, Nev., and Terry Blakely of Camarillo; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers.

Desmond Cummings Sr.
Desmond Dwight Cummings Sr., a resident of Visalia, died in Porterville Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004. He was 82.
A cryptside service will be at noon Saturday at San Luis Obispo Cemetery in San Luis Obispo, with Dr. Desmond Cummings Jr. officiating.
Mr. Cummings was a native of Canada, and a previous resident of Orlando, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce in Cleveland, Tenn., the Kiwanis Club, and served as president for both Life Care Centers of America and Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Cummings of Visalia; three daughters, Candace Neal of Porterville, Paula Wads of Orlando, Fla., and Sandra Peeks of Etiwanda; one son, Desmond Cummings Jr. of Celebration, Fla.; one sister, Toni Hutton of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three foster-children.

Helen Boyd
Helen Irene Boyd, a resident of Visalia, died there Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004. She was 79.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel in Porterville.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be at Woodville Cemetery in Woodville.
Mrs. Boyd was a native of Lexington, Ark. and a resident of Visalia for one year, previously of Poplar. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary in Porterville.
She is survived by one son, James Boyd of Visalia; one daughter, Tracey Boyd of Visalia; and two grandchildren.

Barbara Hettick
Barbara Arlene Stone Hettick, a resident of Visalia, died in San Francisco Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. She was 45.
A service will be at noon Thursday at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be at Visalia District Cemetery in Visalia.
Barbara was born in Visalia on July 30, 1959 and attended Monache High School in Porterville. She had an 18 years career with Tulare County as a Mental Health Worker. Barbara was full of life, several things she enjoyed were family get togethers, gardening, and spending time at home with her girls. The love of Barbara's life were her "Little Angels" which are her Grand Children. she will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Duke Hettick of Visalia; one son, Toby Phipps of Porterville; one step-son Chad Hettick of Visalia; one daughter, Tori Phipps of Visalia; one step-daughter, Terri Matlock of Visalia; one brother, Rod Stone of Imperial; and one sister, Pam Childress of Porterville; her parents, Gene and Maxine Stone of Porterville; and three grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Rainey Mae Matlock and Blake Matlock, all of Visalia.

Pearlena Miller
Pearlena Ogans Miller, a resident of Tulare, died there Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. She was 84.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel in Tulare.
A service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Living Christ Church in Tulare.
Interment will be at Tulare District Cemetery in Tulare.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Oma, Miss., and a resident of Tulare for most of her life, as well as Gary, Ind. She worked as a licensed beautician, was a certified foster parent, and was a member of The Living Christ Church of Tulare where she served as church mother. While in Gary, Ind. she was a member and missionary of Open Door Nondenominational Church. She was also president of the International Prayer Partners. She was awarded with the Tulare Advance Register's Image Award for services to the community in 2000.
She is survived by her second husband, Kinsey Wade Miller of Tulare; three daughters, Charlene Milton of Tyler, Texas, Rosemary Wade and Loretta Tucker, both of Tulare; three sons, Clarence Ogans of Porterville, Raford Ogans and Lenord Ogans, both of Tulare; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law; and one daughter-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Ogans Jr.; one brother, Willie Lee Harris; and her parents, Willis and Lela Harris.
