Ruth Engh dies Thursday
Ruth O. Engh, 91, West Plains, died 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at West Vue Home, Inc., West Plains.
She was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of August and Olga Hiller Mueller.
On Sept. 5, 1936, she was married at Chicago to Roy E. Engh.
She was a homemaker and member of Congregational Church of Des Plaines, Ill.
The body was cremated under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of West Plains.
Clifford Vigdal dies today
Clifford Carl Vigdal, 79, Willow Springs, died 3:45 a.m. today, Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs.
He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
The body will lie in state at Carter Funeral Home in West Plains from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit.
Emma Glass arrangements incomplete
Funeral arrangements for Emma Lois 'Atha' Glass, 78, Lakewood, Colo., and formerly of West Plains, are incomplete and will be announced by Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.
She died 11:03 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at St. John's Hospices, Lakewood.
Nettie Chastain dies Monday
Private burial services for Nettie Lou Boles Chastain, 79, Burbank, Okla., and formerly of this area, will be held at a later date at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Ore., under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Ponca City, Okla.
Mrs. Chastain died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Burbank.

John 'Jack' Stewart services held
Funeral services for John W. 'Jack' Stewart, 80, Mammoth Spring, Ark., were 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Clary Chapel in Mammoth Spring, with Brother Jack Richardson officiating.
Mr. Stewart died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at his home.
He was a graduate of Ash Flat (Ark.) High School and served with the U.S. Army's 75th Infantry Division in the European Theatre during World War II, receiving three Bronze Stars and many other awards. He also participated in the Battle of the Bulge while serving his country.
Burial was in Thayer Cemetery under the direction of Clary Funeral Home of Mammoth Spring.

Graveside services for William 'Bill' M. Harper, 77, Indian Mound, Tenn., and formerly of West Plains, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Mackey Cemetery, with the Rev. Marion Cornett officiating under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains. Military honors will be provided by the Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program and Veterans Honor Guard of West Plains.
Mr. Harper died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Gateway Medical Center, Clarksville, Tenn.
Mr. Harper was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army.
