BEVERLY J. TORGERSRUD
Beverly J. Torgersrud, 68, of San Pedro, CA, died Oct. 20, 2002 in Red Bluff, CA. Born March 23 1934 in Los Angeles, CA.
She had resided in Los Molinos for 8 years. She was a bartender for 25 years and last worked at Rebels in San Pedro, CA.
Survived by husband: Bert of Los Molinos, who she married Dec. 4, 1976, sons: David Torgersrud of Red Bluff, Wayne Laird of Long Beach, CA, Steven Laird of Statesville, NC, David Laird of Red Bluff, and Brad Torgersrud of Torrance, CA, daughters: Kathleen Varela of Red Bluff, Denise Strong of Red Bluff, and Elizabeth Torgersrud of Los Angeles, CA, sisters: Jeanne Cole of Sacramento, Jayne Hurst of Colorado, and Joyce Nichols of Colorado. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Upon her request, no service will be held.
ALTA RACHEL TEACH
Alta Rachel Teach was 85 when she passed away on Dec. 6th, 2002. She was born July 9, 1917 in Union Starr, Mo. to C.Y. and Millie Stout. The Stout family moved from Mo. to Quinter, Kansas, where Alta attended and graduated from school. She met and married William Teach and moved to California about 1946.
Alta and family lived around the Maritnez, Walnut Creek area in Ca. where Mr. Teach worked for the Singer Sewing Center.
Bill and Alta Teach came to Red Bluff in 1952 to open the Red Bluff Sewing Center. She lived in RB most of the time except for a short time that they lived in Ukiah, where they ran the Singer Sewing Center. They moved back to Red Bluff in 1963 and took over the management of the Singer Sewing Center until it closed. They lived at and took care of the Cone Grove Park from 1963 to 1975.
She is survived by her two sons, William Teach of Ukiah, Dwayne Teach of Rio Dell, two daughters, Joann Hopson Norton, and Patricia Drummond of Red Bluff, 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren as well as several family's that have adopted Grandma as their own. Alta, was preceded in death by her husband William Teach, and daughter Shirley Clement, two grandchildren, and her son-in-law, Ray Hopson. Also preceding her in death were five brothers and two sisters.
Alta was the Center of a large extended family and many family get togethers were held at her home in Red Bluff. She will be missed by all that knew her.
In lieu of flowers the Family requests you make a contribution to the charity or organization of your choice.
Private family services will be held at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the flowers.
Roberta Wilson
Roberta Nellie Wilson of Red Bluff died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. She was 68.
Mrs. Wilson was born on April 20, 1932, in Morrison, Okla.
Survivors include: sons John F. Wilson, Raymond B. Wilson and Robert L. Wilson, all of Red Bluff; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ray Lorin Wilson in 1969, daughter Beverly Wilson, sister Louise Geer and brothers Everett, Phillip, Layton and James Huffman.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chapel of the Flowers.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Dorothy McGee
Dorothy Lorraine McGee, former resident of Red Bluff, died Aug. 18, 2000, in West Sacramento.
Mrs. McGee was born to Frank and Daisy Jennings on Jan. 22, 1920, in Apache, Okla., and was a dietition for the Red Bluff school system for many years.
She spent many summers working as a dietition for youth camps and as the chef at Camp Noel Porter, an Episcopal church camp at Lake Tahoe and was affectionately known as Fifi by the children and clergy.
After retirement, she and her husband became snowbirds, traveling between West Sacramento and St. David, Ariz. She was activity director at Apche Mobile Park in St. David and remained active until a stroke in 1999.
Survivors include: daughters Judy McGee and Barbara Shelton, of West Sacramento; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 59 years Owen McGee died in 1997.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on the corner of Elm and Jefferson streets.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
ROY BURT
Roy Gene Burt died Oct. 31, 2000, at his home in Paskenta. He was 55.
Born to Naomi Idell and O.L. Burt on April 29, 1945, in Red Bluff, he was a life-long resident of Paskenta. He worked many years for Crane Mills. He was active in community affairs, a member of Paskenta Cemetery Board, Paskenta Park Board and a member of the Stony Creek Horsemens Association.
He attended Elkins School in Paskenta and Corning Elementary School. In Corning High School, he was a four-year member of FFA and received the Star Farmer Award. He tended bar with his brother and nephews at Stonyford Rodeo.
Mr. Burt was a Vietnam veteran and was also stationed in Korea. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping at the family mountain place.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law Dustin and Jeannette Burt of Orland; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and Dustin Stillwell of Orland; brothers Harold Burt of Corning, Allen Burt of Stonyford, Larry Burt of Paskenta; sisters Mary Burt, Sharon Rodriguez and Connie Heyrend, all of Paskenta, Katherine Burt of Red Bluff; and grandsons Levi Burt of Orland and Tyler Burt of Caldwell, Idaho.
He was predeceased by brothers Robert and David, sisters Betty, Barbara and Cora.
Visiting hours are from 6 to 8 tonight at Hall Brothers Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Paskenta Cemetery in the family plot.
Donations may be made to the Roy Burt Benefit Fund to help defray medical expenses at the Corning Mid Valley Bank.

JAMES BOYD
James Willie Boyd died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Enloe Hospital in Chico. He was 80.
Born to William and Elizabeth Boyd on Dec. 5, 1919, in Washington, Ga., Mr. Boyd grew up and attended schools in Barnwell, S.C.
He joined the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a heavy equipment operator in the Ventura area and a member of the Heavy Equipment Operators Union Local 12.
Mr. Boyd met and married his wife Helen in 1960. He retired in 1973 and moved to Corning in 1980.
He enjoyed fishing and watching boxing matches.
Survivors include: his wife Helen Boyd of Corning; son Tony Boyd of Corning; brothers Russell Boyd and W.C. Boyd of South Carolina; sisters Ethel Grubbs, Marie Collins, Burr Boyd of South Carolina and Avis Boyd of Michigan; and a grandson.
A private inurnment has been arranged. Hall Brothers. Corning Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
GLENDA BRADING
Glenda Myrtle Brading died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, at her home in Red Bluff. She was 78.
Mrs. Brading was born to Leebah and Myrtle Summers Oct. 23, 1921, in Jonesbourgh, Tenn., and moved to Tehama County 27 years ago. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed spending time with children and grandchildren and playing bingo.
Survivors include: son Jerry W. Brading of Red Bluff; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband William Wayne Brading died in 1989 and daughter Linda Allen in 1976.
No services are scheduled at this time.

MARY KORHONEN
Mary Juliana Korhonen died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at her home in Red Bluff. She was 85.
Mrs. Korhonen was born to John and Mary Brown Dec. 5, 1914, in Ironwood, Mich., and moved to Tehama County in 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed dancing and reading.
Survivors include: daughter Arlene I. Mortimer of Alturas; sons Bob Brown of Ironwood, Mich., Russel Korhonen of Sacramento, Ken Korhonen of Anderson, Jim Korhonen of Red Bluff; sister Martha Smith of Wakefield, Mich.; brother Ronald Brown of Cyprus; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

MAXINE WINKELMAN
Maxine Lillian Winkelman of Los Molinos died Oct. 12, 2000, in Chico. She was 95.
Born Sept. 4, 1905, in Colorado City, she had lived in Los Molinos since 1926 and was a court clerk for Tehama County Justice Court in Red Bluff. She enjoyed and cared for many cats.
Survivors include: daughter June Smith of Los Molinos; son Jack Smith of Platina; sister Mae Harrison and brother Harry L. Reid, both of Sacramento.
No services will be held. A private burial will take place in the Los Molinos Cemetery in the family plot.
