DONALD WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO PATRICIA A. CROFFORD ON DECEMBER 12, 1951, IN ABILENE, KANSAS.
DONALD IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING WIFE, PATRICIA PORTELL OF POTOSI, THREE SONS, JIM "WOODY" PORTELL AND WIFE TERRY OF LACROSSE, WISCONSIN,, WILLIAM CARRICK PORTELL OF BISMARCK, STEVEN PORTELL AND WIFE FRAN OF CADET, ONE DAUGHTER, JUDY BOYER AND HUSBAND GLEN OF CADET, SIX GRANDCHILDREN, TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE BROTHERS, JAMES ROBERT PORTELL AND WIFE TERESA OF CADET, STANLEY PORTELL AND WIFE MARY OF CADET, CHARLES PORTELL AND WIFE PHYLLIS OF POTOSI, FRANCIS "BUNNY" PORTELL AND WIFE PATSY OF POTOSI, RANDY PORTELL AND WIFE MARY OF GUMBO, ONE SISTER, MAXINE BATTREAL AND HUSBAND ROY OF DESOTO AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. DONALD WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS STEVEN AND LUCILLE PORTELL.
DONALD WAS ALSO KNOWN BY STEVE BY HIS FAMILY AND MILITARY FRIENDS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
DONALD WAS A UNITED STATES ARMY RETIREE HAVING ENTERED HIS MILITARY CAREER JUNE 20, 1949, AND SERVING TILL JANUARY 31, 1968. DONALD WAS AWARDED MANY PRESTIGIOUS MEDALS AND HONORS FOR HIS COURAGEOUS SERVICE, HE WAS DECORATED WITH THE VIETNAM SERVICE MEDAL, VIETNAM CAMPAIGN MEDAL, NATIONAL DEFENSE SERVICE MEDAL, OAK LEAF CLUSTER, THE ARMY COMMENDATION MEDAL, A SEVEN TIME GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL AWARD AND A PURPLE HEART. DONALD HAD SERVED IN THE KOREAN CONFLICT AND THE VIETNAM ERA, HE HAD RANKED AS A PLATOON SERGEANT, WAS AWARDED A BRONZE STAR MEDAL DURING THE VIETNAM ERA, SERVED AS SERGEANT FIRST CLASS AND HAD GIVEN SERVICE DURING THE VIETNAM ERA IN THE MEDICAL BATTALION. DONALD WAS A PROUD FATHER OF ALL HIS CHILDREN AND ESPECIALLY PROUD OF THE BIRTH OF HIS SON CARRICK WHILE ON DUTY IN SAPPORO, JAPAN. DONALD WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE POTOSI MASONIC LODGE AF AND AM #131. A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION AND VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS POST. DONALD ENJOYED VISITING WITH HIS MANY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND ESPECIALLY ENJOYED HUNTING, FISHING AND GARDENING.
VISITATION WAS HELD TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2000, AT 1:00 P.M. WITH FATHER RONALD HOPMEIR OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN REDBUD MEMORIAL GARDENS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES ARMY.

PHILLIP "PEDRO" ELSEY
PHILLIP "PEDRO" ELSEY OF CADET, MISSOURI, WAS BORN JANUARY 21, 1941, IN CADET, MISSOURI, A SON OF CLARANCE AND AUDREY (ECKHOFF) ELSEY. PEDRO DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HIS RESIDENCE ON OCTOBER 16, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF FIFTY-NINE YEARS, EIGHT MONTHS AND TWENTY-FIVE DAYS.
PEDRO WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO CAROL MAE BOURBON ON JUNE 20, 1959, IN POTOSI, MISSOURI. CAROL PRECEDED HER HUSBAND IN DEATH ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 1999 AT THE AGE OF FIFTY-SIX YEARS.
PEDRO IS SURVIVED BY THREE SONS, PHILLIP W. ELSEY, JR. AND WIFE THERESA OF POTOSI, JOHN ELSEY AND ANITA BECK OF TIFF, ADAM ELSEY OF CADET, FIVE DAUGHTERS, CARLOTTA STEWARD AND HUSBAND MARK OF CADET, ROBIN STEGALL AND HUSBAND DAVID OF BONNE TERRE, AUDREY YARBROUGH AND HUSBAND JOE OF CADET, SHERRY HAHN AND HUSBAND JEFF OF CADET, JULIE ELSEY AND BILL GOVERO OF TIFF, FIFTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, ONE GREAT GRANDCHILD, TWO BROTHERS, JERRY "RED" ELSEY AND WIFE PAT OF KENTUCKY, STEVEN ELSEY AND WIFE JACKIE OF DESOTO, SEVEN SISTERS, JAY GOVERO AND HUSBAND PHILLIP OF TIFF, PEGGY WEST AND HUSBAND BRUCE OF IMPERIAL, JOYCE PORTELL AND HUSBAND BERNARD "BUNNY" OF GERALD, AVA PENNOCK AND HUSBAND MIKE OF DESOTO, DONNA GOVERO AND HUSBAND JEFF OF DESOTO, GINA KITE AND HUSBAND MARK OF DESOTO, LATTIE KATZ OF DESOTO AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. PEDRO WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FATHER, CLARANCE ELSEY, ONE BROTHER, NORMAN ELSEY AND ONE SISTER, DELLA BOURBON.
PEDRO HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND ESPECIALLY ENJOYED PICKING ON HIS GRANDCHILDREN. HE ENJOYED WORKING PUZZLES, TAKING TIME TO GO MUSHROOM HUNTING, LONG WALKS AND WAS VERY DEDICATED TO FARMING AND RANCHING. PEDRO ENJOYED SPENDING MUCH TIME WORKING WITH AND ENJOYING THE SPORT OF HORSE RACING AND A MEMBER OF THE HORSEMAN ASSOCIATION. PEDRO WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO PUT HIS CARPENTER SKILLS TO WORK AND WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF THE CARPENTER UNION.
VISITATION WAS HELD WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2000, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2000, AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE CHAPEL WITH DON BOURBON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, BEAU GOVERO, SAM STEWARD, DAVID STEGALL, JEFF HAHN, STEVEN ELSEY, DANIEL YARBROUGH, BILL GOVERO AND CORY EMILY.

SANDRA ANN MCGUIRE-KLASE OF MINERAL POINT, MO WAS BORN AT ST. CHARLES, MO ON FEBRUARY 24, 1952. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF GEORGE MCGUIRE AND THE LATE DOROTHY A. (WELLS) MCGUIRE. SANDRA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN POTOSI, MO ON NOVEMBER 1, 2000 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF FORTY EIGHT YEARS EIGHT MONTHS AND EIGHT DAYS.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SISTERS, JANET RUTH BOIES AND HUSBAND THOMAS OF CRYSTAL, MINNESOTA, CYNTHIA KAY HUEY AND HUSBAND TIMOTHY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO; ONE NIECE KIRSTIN ANN HUEY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO; THREE NEPHEWS AARON SCOTT HUEY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO, THOMAS EDWARD BOIES OF CRYSTAL, MINNESOTA, ROBERT ANTHONY BOIES OF CRYSTAL, MINNESOTA. IN ADDITION TO HER MOTHER SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER BROTHER GREGORY ALLEN MCGUIRE.
SANDRA WAS SAVED AT A YOUNG AGE AND HER FATHER HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF BAPTIZING HER. AFTER MOVING TO MISSOURI IN MAY OF 1999, SHE BECAME A MEMBER OF TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH OF BELGRADE, MO.
SANDRA HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR PEOPLE AND ENJOYED CARING FOR THEM IN MANY WAYS. SHE ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE TIME CARING FOR THE CHILDREN DURING CHURCH ACTIVITIES. SANDRA SPENT HER RELAXING HOURS READING, WORKING PUZZLES, AND WATCHING GAME SHOWS ON TELEVISION. SANDRA GREATLY CHERISHED THE TIME SHE SPENT IN CHURCH.
VISITATION WAS HELD FROM 5:00 PM TO 9:00 PM ON NOVEMBER 5, 2000 AT MOORE FUNERAL HOMES IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WAS CONDUCTED AT 1:30 PM ON NOVEMBER 6, 2000 AT MOORE CHAPEL WITH PASTOR WAYNE GIBSON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, THOMAS BOIES, TIM HUEY, TROY COOPER, CLARENCE CRAWFORD, RONALD PIERCE, HENRY WELLS, JR., HARVEY HUGHES, JR.

LUCILLE VIOLET OSIA OF CADET, MO WAS BORN AT CANNON MINES, MO ON MAY 28, 1916. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE NARCISE AND MAMIE (COLEMAN) BOYER. LUCILLE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE IN CADET, MO ON NOVEMBER 3, 2000 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY FOUR YEARS, FIVE MONTHS, AND SIX DAYS.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND OLIVER "BUD" OSIA; ONE DAUGHTER DORIS LAWSON AND HUSBAND GENE OF CADET, MO; TWO GRAND CHILDREN ALICIA LAWSON OF CADET, MO, ERIC LAWSON OF CADET, MO; TWO GREAT GRAND CHILDREN, JORDAN MICHELE LAWSON, LINDSAY PAIGE LAWSON BOTH OF CADET; FOUR SISTERS, LILLIAN MILLER OF BLACKWELL, MO, MARIE COLEMAN AND HUSBAND EDWARD OF BLACKWELL, MO, GENEVIEVE HILL AND HUSBAND GEORGE OF BLACKWELL, MO, MARGE BOYER OF FESTUS, MO. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE BROTHERS EDWARD "BILL" COLEMAN, ROY COLEMAN, LLOYD COLEMAN.
LUCILLE WAS WELL KNOWN BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS BY HER COOKING AND ENJOYMENT OF GOOD FOOD. HER LEISURE TIME WAS SPENT ENJOYING INDOOR PLANTS, THE FAMILY'S FISH AQUARIUM AND OUTDOOR GARDENING. LUCILLE ENJOYED VOLUNTEERING WITH THE BLOOD MOBILE FOR MANY YEARS. LUCILLE'S LOVE FOR GOD'S GIFTS WAS EVIDENT BY HER MANY WALKS THROUGH THE WOODS. HER GREAT GRANDCHILDREN WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER LUCILLE BY THE TIME SHE GENEROUSLY SPENT READING TO THEM, AND HER MANY FRIENDS WILL REMEMBER HER BY THE WONDERFUL AND LOVING OUTLOOK SHE HAD FOR LIFE.
