Josephine W. Ritter
Josephine W. Ritter, age 86, of Destin, Fla., passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 1998, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Upon retirement in 1975, she and her husband, the late Robert A. Ritter, moved to Destin. She was very active for many years with the American Red Cross blood drives in Destin. Mrs. Ritter was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Destin. Gramme will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Jerry LaChapelle of Destin, and Jane and John Thompson of Woodbridge, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judith Ritter of Barrington Hills, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Destin on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Monsignor Patrick Cunningham officiating.

Lenore S. Casey
Lenore S. Casey, age 81, of Shalimar, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Casey was born in Toledo, Ohio, on Dec. 13, 1916, and moved to this area in 1942. She was a member of St. Simon's-on-the-Sound Episcopal Church, the Altar Guild at St. Simon's, Fort Walton Beach Hospital Auxiliary, and was a licensed pilot since 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Casey.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel F. Casey of Stone Mountain, Ga., Michael J. Casey of Pensacola, Fla., and Timothy J. Casey of Reston, Va.; sister, Sarah Jane Robson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and grandchildren, Sherry and Nora Casey.
Funeral services will be conducted from St. Simon's-on-the-Sound Episcopal Church on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald Greiser officiating.

Julie Rae Coble
Julie Rae Coble, age 45, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998.
COBLE
She was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 18, 1952. She had been a resident of the local area since moving here with her husband from Ogden in 1990.
Mrs. Coble was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was very active in local bowling leagues. She worked for the Northwest Florida Daily News as an independent carrier for three years and was awarded the Northwest Florida Daily News "Carrier of the Year" for 1994-1995 for her outstanding customer service.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard E. Bohn, and is survived by her husband, David Coble of Fort Walton Beach; sons, Tim and Artie Lohman of Layton, Utah; mother, Lois Bohn of Ogden; sister, Laurie Little of Morgan, Utah; and brother, Scott Bohn of Ogden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral services and interment will be conducted at a later date in Morgan, Utah, under the direction of Larkin Funeral Home.

Gladys M. Zurschmiede
Gladys M. Zurschmiede, age 80, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Zurschmiede was born May 22, 1917, in Pitcher, Okla., to Clyde and Ethel Parks Thornbreugh. She moved to this area in 1963 from Edwards Air Force Base and was a member of the VFW and DAV.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Zurschmiede. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Alice Roper of Carthage, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Monty Mitchell of Riverside, Calif.; sisters, Ruth Maden of Grass Valley, Calif., and Shirley Bartolomei of Lafayette, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at McLaughlin Mortuary on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m. with Stephen Olivier officiating.

Margaret Wilson Womble
Margaret Wilson Womble, age 74, 4141 Stell Road, Wake Forest, N.C., died Sunday evening, Feb. 22, 1998, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, N.C.
Mrs. Womble was preceded in death by her husband, Herman B. Womble; and sons, B. Aaron Womble and William Herman Womble. Survivors include her sons, Steve Womble of the Bahamas, and Dexter Womble of Cary, N.C.; daughters, Iris Stokes of Laurel Hill, Fla., and Shelby Brown of Wake Forest; sister, Dorothy Wilson Womble of Raleigh; brother, Bill Wilson of Winter Park, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Home.

Monique Maupu Clark
Monique Mauricette Rolande Maupu Clark, age 62, of Crestview, Fla., died peacefully in her home Monday afternoon, Feb. 23, 1998.
Monique was born in Neville, France, on Nov. 4, 1935, and had been a resident of Northwest Florida since 1974. She was a creative and artistic person, engaging in numerous hobbies and crafts. She always had time for others and went out of her way to help family, friends and neighbors.
Mrs. Clark had a great love of animals and was never too busy to provide a home for a stray cat or dog.
Survivors include her son, David C. Clark of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; half-brother, Duhamel Yves-Madeleine of Malaunay, France; and one granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Crestview at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, with the Rev. Ray Clark officiating.

Ruth E. Bush
Ruth E. Bush, age 78, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at her home.
Mrs. Bush was a native of Dorchester, Mass., and moved to this area in 1963 from Amarillo, Texas. She was a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala., and was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Bush.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William F. and Cynthia A. Bush of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, John Andrew Bush, Juliana E. Bush and Analisa E. Bush.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home.

Clyde Levere Little
Clyde Levere Little, age 79, of Navarre, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at home after an extended illness.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, an elder brother, four children, 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and countless wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Hurlburt Field Chapel.

Richard T. Underwood, age 43, of Crestview, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Coffee County, Ala.
He was born in Crestview and had been a resident of Okaloosa County, Fla., most of his life.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother and father and a brother.
Survivors include his brother, Hiram David Underwood of Crestview; sister, Shelia Currington of Niceville, Fla.; aunt and uncle, Faye and Jack Grantham of Ozark, Ala., also D.A. and Dee Garrett of Norfork, Va.; sister-in-law, Rita J. Underwood of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and other aunts and uncles.

Jennie Ruth Pearce
Jennie Ruth Pearce, age 80, of Destin, Fla., passed away Feb. 12, 1998, in a local nursing home.
She was born on July 19, 1917, in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jack Bockover of Destin; grandson, Edward Bockover of Niceville, Fla.; granddaughters, Cheryl Havard of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; sisters, Thelma King of Tennessee, and Hazel Herron of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Aaron and April Bockover of Niceville, and Rebecca Havard of Fort Walton Beach.
An informal memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Paul Kummer at Grace Lutheran Church, 4100 Two Trees Road, Destin, at noon on Saturday, Feb. 28.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Grace Lutheran Church building fund are acceptable.
A private burial ceremony will be officiated by Pastor Kummer at Marler Cemetery in Destin at a later time.
Howard Anthony Fregetto
Howard Anthony "Tony" Fregetto, age 58, of Destin, Fla., passed away at his home Monday, Feb. 23, 1998.
Born in Stambaugh, Mich., he grew up in Iron River, Mich., where he was well known as a great fly fisherman and 4-letter athlete in high school. Tony left Iron River in 1957 to join the U.S. Coast Guard. After completing his basic training, he attended Yeoman School and served in the personnel and administration fields. He rose through the enlisted ranks and in 1969 was commissioned as a chief warrant officer. He served on various Coast Guard cutters and shore units throughout his distinguished Coast Guard career.
In addition to his other awards during his service, he received the Coast Guard Achievement Medal and Coast Guard Commendation Medal. He was known throughout the service as an outstanding personnel administrator.
After retiring as a chief warrant officer W-4 for 24 years, he moved to Destin in 1981 with his wife, Marge, and their two children, Tony Jr. and Lynne.
He began his own Destin handyman service at that time. Well loved by his many customers for his charming wit, work ethic, dedication and gentle smile, he continued his service until the day of his death. He was a member of the Emerald Coasters Square Dance Club, and also a member of the Resurrection Catholic Church, where he served as lector, usher and eucharistic minister.
Survivors include his wife, Marge Fregetto; daughter, Lynne Fregetto Shirley and husband Benjamin; son, Anthony Michael Fregetto, all of Destin; parents, Howard and Cecelia Fregetto of Iron River; brother, James Frank Fregetto and wife Carolyn of Gwinn, Mich.; nieces, Michelle Fregetto of Orlando, Fla., and Christy Fregetto of Gwinn; nephew, Joseph Fregetto of Gwinn; and grandchildren, Maryann Elizabeth Shirley and Rachel Lynne Shirley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A rosary will be recited beginning at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Resurrection Catholic Church in Destin on Friday, Feb. 27, at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Roy Marien officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
