JAMES KENNETH WOOD OF BELLEVIEW, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT FREDERICKTOWN, MISSOURI ON JUNE 23, 1927. HE WAS THE SON OF THE LATE BUFORD AND LONNIE (COLE) WOOD. JAMES DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT BELLEVIEW VALLEY NURSING HOME IN BELLEVIEW, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 17, 2001 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-THREE YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND TWENTY-FIVE DAYS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY ONE BROTHER; JERRY WOOD OF FREDERICKTOWN, MISSOURI AND ONE SISTER; LOUBELLE CLEMANS AND HUSBAND KERMIT OF GLEN CARBON, ILLINOIS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE IS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, SYLVIA WOOD, ONE BROTHER GEORGE WOOD, AND ONE SISTER, WILLA KUSMAN.
JAMES WAS A VETERAN OF THE U.S. ARMY, AND SERVED HONORABLY DURING THE KOREAN CONFLICT. DURING THE YEARS OF SERVICE TO HIS COUNTRY, JAMES RECEIVED THE MERITORIOUS UNIT COMMENDATION, THE UNITED NATIONS SERVICE MEDAL, THE KOREAN SERVICE MEDAL WITH THREE BRONZE STARS AND TWO OVERSEAS BARS. JAMES RETURNED TO THE UNITED STATES IN 1952, WITH PRIDE IN THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS HE WAS PRIVILEGED TO RECEIVE SERVING HIS FELLOW COUNTRYMEN.
VISITATION WAS HELD AT 4:00 PM ON FRIDAY JANUARY, 19, 2001 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WAS CONDUCTED AT 1:00 PM ON SATURDAY JANUARY, 20 2001 AT MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND JOHN EDWARDS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE LOWER INDIAN CREEK CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.

VERONICA ANN HANSON
VERONICA ANN HANSON OF CADET, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT BONNE TERRE, MISSOURI ON MAY 5, 1953. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE RALPH AND MARY (BOYER) SAUNDERS. VERONICA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE IN CADET, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 19, 2001 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF FORTY- SEVEN YEARS, EIGHT MONTHS AND FOURTEEN DAYS.
VERONICA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO BENEDICT HANSON ON OCTOBER 11, 1968 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND, BENEDICT HANSON OF CADET, MISSOURI; ONE DAUGHTER; MICHELLE HARMON AND HUSBAND JERRY OF CADET, MISSOURI, ONE SISTER; LA VERN MILLER AND HUSBAND JACK OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, TWO SISTERS-IN-LAW; JULIA BARTER OF LITTLETON, COLORADO, ISABELLE HANSON OF LEMAY, MISSOURI, TWO BROTHERS-IN-LAW; PAUL HANSON AND WIFE ALMA OF O'FALLON, ILLINOIS, MONSIGNOR JAMES HANSON OF ZELL, MISSOURI, AND FOUR GRANDCHILDREN; JESSICA, REBECCA, BREANNA AND BRENDON HARMON. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SON JULIAN HANSON.
VERONICA'S LIFE WAS ONE FILLED WITH LOVE. SPENDING TIME WITH HER GRANDCHILDREN WAS HER FAVORITE PASTIME. SHE ENJOYED THE TIME SPENT IN HER FLOWER GARDEN WATCHING MOTHER NATURE AND HER GREAT GIFTS.
VERONICA LIKED SKETCHING AND PAINTING PICTURES AND HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HELPING OTHERS. SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY THOSE WHO KNEW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD SUNDAY, JANUARY 21, 2001 FROM 2 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON TO 9 O'CLOCK IN THE EVENING AND ON MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2001 FROM 9:30 A.M. TO 10:30 A.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 2001 AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH, OLD MINES, MISSOURI WITH MONSIGNOR JAMES HANSON AND FATHER TED PIEPER CELEBRATING. MUSIC WAS PROVIDED BY THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CHOIR. SERVING AS PALL BEARERS WERE BRUCE BARTER, HENRY BLACHARCZYK, GLEN HANSON, KENNY BOYER, MATTHEW THOMAS AND MARC THOMAS. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY. SERVICES WERE UNDER THE CARE OF MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.

IDA MAE FRENCH
IDA MAE FRENCH OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI, WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 6, 1918, IN JACKSONVILLE, ILLINOIS, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE FRED AND JULIA (JONES) CLARKE. IDA DEPARTED THIS LIFE SUNDAY, MARCH 7, 1999, AT MINERAL AREA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF EIGHTY YEARS, SIX MONTHS AND ONE DAY.
IDA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE STANLEY FRENCH ON JULY 6, 1937, AND TO THIS UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN.
IDA IS SURVIVED BY ONE SON, JOHN FRENCH AND WIFE JO ANN OF IRONDALE, TWO DAUGHTERS, ARLENE JENKERSON AND HUSBAND KEITH OF PARK HILLS, PAMELA HELMS OF BONNE TERRE, ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN, TWELVE GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, ONE BROTHER, ROBERT CLARKE AND WIFE ALBERTA OF HAZELWOOD, THREE SISTERS, LOTTIE KUCINSKIS OF CALEDONIA, MINNIE (DANE) GRIFFITH AND HUSBAND EDWARD OF STONY POINT, ROSALIE SUTTON OF CALEDONIA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE DAUGHTER, MAXINE HOUSE, TWO SISTERS, RUTH LUCAS, MABEL CLARKE, THREE BROTHERS, FREDERICK, RICHARD AND JULIUS CLARKE.
IDA ENJOYED SEWING AND READING, HER RELAXING HOURS WERE SPENT WATCHING GAME SHOWS ON TELEVISION. IDA HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS EACH OF THEM HELD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART.
VISITATION WAS HELD MONDAY, MARCH 8, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN IRONDALE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 1999, AT 2:30 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON CHAPEL WITH REVEREND GARY RHODES OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN BIG RIVER CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME, IRONDALE.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, DEWAYNE HOUSE, DALE HOUSE, JR., MATTHEW JENKERSON, BRIAN JENKERSON, DAVID WISDOM AND RON FRENCH.

JANICE LA NORE "ME-ME" HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT GUYMON, OKLAHOMA ON NOVEMBER 8, 1931. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE GUY AND MARY EMILY (WRIGHT) EGBERT. JANICE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE IN POTOSI, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 22, 2001 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-NINE YEARS, TWO MONTHS AND FOURTEEN DAYS.
JANICE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO HERBERT "HERB" HUFF ON MARCH 14, 1953 IN ARKANSAS. TO THIS UNION THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE FOUR CHILDREN BORN.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS; TONY HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, AND KIRK HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; TWO DAUGHTERS; DEBBIE FRENCH OF SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI, MISSY MERCER AND HUSBAND ALLEN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; AND FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, AMY COWIN AND HUSBAND ZHAWN OF POTOSI, FREDDIE NIXON OF MINERAL POINT, MEAGAN AND JARED MERCER OF POTOSI. THREE SISTERS, VIVIAN SPENCER AND HUSBAND BOB OF INMAN, KANSAS, NORMA DEASON OF ROGERS, ARKANSAS AND VERA CROCKETT OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA; ONE BROTHER, NOLAN EGBERT OF QUARTZSITE, Arizona. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE IS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE BROTHER ERROLL EGBERT.
JANICE ENJOYED GARDENING, COOKING AND TAKING TIME TO SHOP THE NICK-NACK SHOPS.
JANICE, BETTER KNOWN BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS ME-ME, A TRUE MOTHER AND GRAND MOTHER, SHE ALWAYS HAD TIME TO SPEND WITH HER FAMILY AND EXTENDED FAMILY. SHE WAS LOVED AND CHERISHED BY HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. A KIND AND LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND A DEAR FRIEND, WHO WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
MEMORIAL VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2001 FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A MEMORIAL FUNERAL SERVICE WAS HELD FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2001 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND TIM BURDIN OFFICIATING. PRIVATE BURIAL SERVICES WERE HELD SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2001 AT THE SUNSET HILL CEMETERY. SERVICES WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
