Harold William Raines Sr.
Harold William Raines Sr., age 89, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1998, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1909, in Rosboro, Ark., and spent his career in the retail hardware business. Mr. Raines moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1997, moving here from Arlington, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Moss Raines. Also surviving is his son, Harold William Raines Jr. and his wife Mary of Niceville, Fla.; his grandchildren, Julianne Raines Hagan and husband Dr. John Hagan of Goodlettsville, Tenn., and the Rev. Jeff Raines and wife Darcie of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Bethany Grace Hagan and Christina Raines Hagan.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at First Baptist Church in Arlington with the Rev. Jeff Raines and Dr. Charles Wade officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Mausoleum in Fort Worth, Texas.
Funeral services under the direction of Arlington Funeral Home, 1221 E. Division St., Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2199, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32549; or to a favorite charity.

Herbert William Crane
Herbert William Crane, Lt. Col. USAF retired, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Eglin Regional Hospital.
Lt. Col. Crane was born May 18, 1915, in Albany, N.Y., and grew up in Fonda, N.Y. After 28 years of active duty as a flying officer with the Air Force, he was a teacher at Crestview High School and Meigs Junior High School. He served for many years on the Okaloosa School District PRIDE Committee and gave freely of his time to the Fort Walton Beach Public Library.
Lt. Col. Crane is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Muriel; his daughter, Janet Rae Manchon, her husband, John, and their children, John Jr., Lisa, David, Patrick, Adam and Daniel; his daughter, Susan Jo Guilian, and her son, Roger; and by four great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at McLaughlin Mortuary.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors. The graveside service will be private for the family only.
McLaughlin Mortuary, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., is entrusted with the arrangements.

Harold A. Boone
Harold A. Boone, age 76, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998. Mr. Boone was born in Cullman, Ala., and had resided in the local area since 1950. He was retired from OWCC.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty; sons: Patrick and Michael and daughter-in-law, Becky. He also leaves two brothers and four sisters, who live throughout the country; grandson: Gavin Boone and great-granddaughter, Mikayla Boone.
Floral tributes will be accepted. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at the First Baptist Church of Laurel Hill, with Rev. Jerry Everage officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Laurel Hill. McLaughlin-Aultman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gary A. Kitchens
Gary A. Kitchens, age 34, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away in a local hospital on Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998. He was born on Dec. 10, 1963, in Goldsboro, N.C. He has been a resident of the local area for the past 30 years. He was an avid golfer prior to his illness with muscular dystrophy. He always loved and enjoyed being around family and friends. He also loved his work.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Kitchens Sr.
Survivors include his loving mother and stepfather: Margaret and James Bain, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; brothers: James Kitchens, of Fort Walton Beach, Raymond and his wife, Connie Kitchens, also of Fort Walton Beach; sister: Teresa Brown, of Fort Walton Beach; nephews: Neal and Eric Brown, James Kitchens and a niece, Jackie Kitchens.
Other relatives in Goldsboro, N.C., Muncie, Ind., and Augusta, Ga., all loved him and will greatly miss him.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at the Little Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at the Little Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Sean Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery.

Marie H. Cochran
Marie H. Cochran, age 81, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away at her home on Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 9, 1917, in Galena, Kan. She had been a resident of the local area since 1956. She was well known by many through her antique business.
She was prededed in death by her husband, Walter J. "Jack" Cochran.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Katheryn and Ruben Perales of Norwalk, Calif.; Jean and John Davis, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Jo and Jim Chavers, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Monday evening, Oct. 26, 1998, from 6-8 p.m. at Little Chapel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at 2 p.m. at Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., with the Rev. David Cosma officiating.

Abraham Teich
Abraham Teich, age 84, of Destin, Fla. passed away, Mon., Oct. 19, 1998 at his home in Destin, Fla.
Mr. Teich lived here since 1983 splitting his time between here and his home in Daytona Beach, Fla. He was employed with the Department of Defense as a certified public accountant and was a member of the DAV.
He was preceded in death by his sister Lillian Goodie.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Dean Gress of Irving, Tx; brother, Phillip Teich; nephews, Michael Teich and Jeffrey Goodie; niece, Audrey Yudell; grandchildren, Stacey, Joshua, Laura and Jaclyn.
Graveside services will be conducted from Barracas National Cemetery on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998 at 10: 15 a.m. with a U.S. Navy Chaplain officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 98 Miracle Strip Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. 32548.

Henry William Bullock
Mr. Henry W. Bullock passed away on Monday, Oct. 26, 1998 in his residence. Mr. Bullock was born in Prentiss, Mississippi on September 29, 1917. Mr. Bullock served in the Army Air Corps during World War II primarily in India where he received the rank of Sergeant. He was a master pipe fitter and welder retired from Gulf and Hess Oil Company's in Mississippi. Mr. Bullock with his wife came to live in Fort Walton Beach in 1994. Henry was an ordained Deacon in Main Street Baptist Church in Hattisburg, Mississippi and also served as a Deacon in the First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi. He was a member of the Wright Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach. Henry was an avid sports fan, Bream fisherman and gardener. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His quick smile and hearty chuckle will be missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Bullock is survived by his loving wife, Lonez Bullock of Fort Walton Beach; three children, Jenny B. Hamilton and husband Ross of Fort Walton Beach; Daniel H. Bullock and wife Jane of Rogers, Arkansas; Phillip C. Bullock and wife Julie of Seabrook, Texas; grandchildren, Linde Bowman and husband Mike, Chad Hamilton and wife Nancy, Ethan Bullock, Reid Bullock and Hayley Bullock; great grandchildren; Alayana and Mackenze Bowman.
The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. Funeral services for Mr. Bullock will be Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Emerald Coast Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mike Aultman officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the local Alzheimer's Association, N.W. Florida Chapter, in memory of Mr. Henry Bullock.

Mal "M.L." Pippins
Mal "M.L." Pippins, age 72, passed away at his home on Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. Mr. Pippins was born in McKenzie, Ala., on May 6, 1926. He was a lifetime resident of Okaloosa County. Mr. Pippins served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years which included WWI, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired from Fairchild Hiller Corporation in Crestview, and had been associated with both the City of Crestview Police Department and the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Department over the years. He was a mason and a member of the Crestview Lodge 50. M.L. loved gardening, fishing and was a loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Pippins was preceeded in death by his mother and father and brother and sister. He is survived by his loving wife Annette of Crestview; sons Phil Pippins of Holt; Jim Pippins of Villa Taso, Fla., Larry Pippins of Germany. Mike Little and daughter-in-law Carol of Pensacola, Joseph Pippins and daughter-in-law Cheri of Crestview. Daughters, Peggy Dyer and son-in-law Reese of Crestview, Debbie Melvin and son-in-law Wayne of Holt, Florida, Patti Gilmore and son-in-law Reggie of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Linda Coker and son-in-law Joseph of Dothan, Ala., Mary Lawrence and son-in-law John of Birmingham, Ala. He also leaves three brothers, Joseph Pippin of Miriana, Fla., Johnny Pippin of Andalusia, Ala., and Noah Pippin of Fort Walton Beach. There was also 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., from the McLaughlin Aultman Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be Wed., Oct. 28, 1998 at 2:00 p.m., from the McLaughlin Aultman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Cadenhead and Rev. Mark English officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Crestview. McLaughlin-Aultman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carrie Hazel Bludsworth
Carrie Hazel Bludsworth, age 82, of Niceville, Fla. died Sun., Oct. 25, 1998 at her home. She was born in Clayton, Ala. and moved to this area from Miami, Fla. 25 years ago. Ms. Bludsworth was a widowed homemaker and was a member of the Bluewater Bay Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela G. and Stephen Griner and "her" grandchildren, Cody and Jake Griner, all of Niceville, her sisters-in-law and their husbands, Rubye and Johnny North, Claudene and Wilbur Curenton, Violet and Bill Brown, all of Orlando, Fla., Jewel Kelly of Coffee Springs, Ala., Trudy Helms of Bartow, Fla. and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home in Niceville on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the McLaughlin Twin Cities Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery of Valparaiso, Fla.

Kip Mulinix
Kip Mulinix, age 43, of Crestview, passed away Sat., Oct. 24. He was a native of Toledo, Ohio and had lived in Crestview for the past 8 years. Mr. Mulinix was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri of Crestview; 3 children, Kip "Jr" Mulinix of Crestview, Joline Owens of Crestview, Jamie Allison of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; father, George Mulinix of Ohio; two sisters, Mariene Fisher of Texas, Cindy Mezic of Pensacola; five brothers, Albert Lane of Pensacola, Jim Lane of Tennessee, Charles Lane, Jack Lane, and Lonnie Lane, all of Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service.
Brackney Funeral Service, Crestview, is in charge of the arrangements.
