Lois J. Zombro
Lois Juanita Zombro, 73, 179 Omps Drive, died Saturday Feb. 10, 2001, in Winchester Medical Center.
She was born May 24, 1927, in Jefferson County, W.Va., the daughter of Howard N. and Mary L. Henry Gardner.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Braddock Street United Methodist Church.
Her first husband was Marshall R. Bryant who died May 11, 1986.
Survivors include her husband, Earl D. Zombro of Winchester; a son, N. Randolph Bryant of Winchester; a brother, Dale A. Gardner of Boyce; a stepson, David S. Zombro; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Enders and Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, with the Rev. John Lock officiating.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville.
Pallbearers will be Howard L. Gardner II, Dustin L. Gardner, Dale Allen Gardner II, Bennie R. Keller, John W. Keller, David B. Zombro.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Margaret P. Voit
Margaret Pearl Voit, 86, of Slanesville, W.Va., died Friday Feb. 9, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Judy Bailey, in Newark, Del.
She was born April 7, 1914, in Cumberland, Md., the daughter of Edward and Julia Pearl Haines.
She was married to Kenneth F. Voit who died in 1966.
She was a retired cook from Hampshire County Schools.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Points, W.Va., 50 year member of the CEOS Club, Slanesville Fire Co. Auxillary, and an honorary member of Slanesville Ruritan.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Voit and Ward Voit of Romney, W.Va., Dennis Voit and Max Voit of Slanesville; two daughters, Judy Bailey of Newark, Del. and Dorothy Calvert of Romney; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A son, Wilbert Voit, and a daughter, Katie Voit Cowgill, are deceased.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Salem United Methodist Church in Points with Don Kesner officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Slanesville.

John E. Hill
John Edward Hill, 75, of Points, W.Va., died Saturday Feb. 10, 2001, in Winchester Medical Center.
He was born May 15, 1925, in Cumberland, Md., the son of William G. and Edna Miller Hill.
He was married to Helen Mae Kidwell Hill who died Feb. 1, 1990.
He was a retired truck driver with Hanover Township. He attended Levels Little Capon Chapel.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Dale Hill of Springfield, W.Va., and Larry James Hill of Points; four brothers, James Hill of Ashtabula, Ohio, William Hill and Kenneth Hill, both of Cumberland, and Harvey Hill of Ridgeley, W.Va.; seven sisters, Cora VanMeter of Riverdale, Md., Betty Johnson of Fairhope, Ala., Mary Garrison of Elizabethtown, Pa., Rosalie Jones of Middletown, Pa., Thelma Huffman of Arthur, W.Va., Loretta Crisman of Cumberland, and Frances Barber of Winchester; two grandchildren; and a step grandchild.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer Funeral Home in Romney with the Rev. Wayne R. Stotler officiating. Burial will be in Levels Cemetery, Levels, W.Va.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
William L. Foley Jr.
William Lee Foley Jr., 56, of Romney, W.Va., died Saturday Feb. 10, 2001, at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md.
He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Green Spring, W.Va., the son of William L. and Freda K. VanFleet Foley.
He was formerly employed by King’s Down Mattress in Winchester. He was a member of Green Spring United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William L. Foley of Winchester and Brian Jennings of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; a step-son, William D. Dean of Winchester; two daughters, Barbara L. Foley of Winchester and Karen Sue Rueble of Cross Junction; two sisters, Joyce P. Racey of Romney, W.Va., and Linda S. Saville of Paw Paw, W.Va.; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Green Spring United Methodist Church with Pastor Deborah Shreve officiating. Burial will be in Forest Glen Cemetery in Green Spring.
Arrangements are being handled by Shaffer Funeral Home in Romney.
Harold W. Combs
Harold William “Happy” Combs, 74, of 1479 Jordan Springs Road, died Saturday Feb. 10, 2001, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Combs was born Aug. 6, 1926, in Needmore, W.Va., the son of William and Orlena Wilson Combs.
He was retired as a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. He was a member of the VFW Post 2123. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He received a Purple Heart.
Survivors include two sons, Steven B. Combs of Stephenson and Danney W. Combs of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Pauline Pratt of Moorefield, W.Va., and Mabel George of Petersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Roy Combs of Inwood, W.Va. and Don Combs of Great Falls; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home South Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Wright officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Delmas Pratt, Dave DeHaven, Robert DeHaven, Pete Combs, David Pratt, and Tim Funkhouser.

Agnes Alice DeHaven, 68, of 181 Hidden Valley Lane, died Friday Feb. 9, 2001, in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. DeHaven was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Frederick County, the daughter of Simon C. and Goldie Mae McFarland Newlin.
She was retired as a secretary for DeHaven’s Backhoe Service after 30 years. She was a member of the Winchester Church of God.
She married Garland L. DeHaven Aug. 20, 1955, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Charlene Edmondson of Winchester; a brother, Charles H. Newlin of Manning, W.Va.; and a grandchild.
A daughter, Carolyn Mae DeHaven is deceased.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Winchester Church of God with the Rev. Darrell Waller officiating. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Angela Elsea “Angie” Wheeler, 52, of 401 Braeburn Drive, died Saturday Feb. 10, 2001, at her home.
Mrs. Wheeler was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Winchester, the daughter of Joe and Genevieve Denny Elsea. She was a homemaker and a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church.
She married Robert Creighton Wheeler July 30, 1996, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Andrea Ritter of Winchester; three step-daughters, Allison Wheeler, Kristy Scott, and Kasey Wheeler, all of Warrenton; a brother, Mike Elsea of Winchester; two sisters, Joetta Hansoen of Williamsburg and Adair Lee of Charles Town, W.Va.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Omps Funeral Home South Chapel with Johnny Legg officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

James R. Clark Jr.
James Robert “Robbie” Clark Jr., 46, of 1756 Crooked Run Road, Mt. Jackson, died Friday Feb. 9, 2001, at the VA Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Mr. Clark was born Sept. 21, 1954, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the son of Iva Lee Marie Clark Lantz and Robert Clark Sr.
He was an army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was employed with Rocco as a forklift operator. He was formerly a bricklayer for Nelson Patton.
He was a member of the Woodstock American Legion Post #199 and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
In addition to his mother of Edinburg, he is survived by his wife, Sharon Ann Everett Clark; two sons, James Robert Clark III of Mt. Jackson and George Edward Clark, at home; a sister, Gail Brill of Winchester; two brothers, Randy Lee Clark of Edinburg and Rodney Dean Clark of Woodstock.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs with Rev. Henry Fisher and Rev. Wayne Frum officiating. Burial with military honors by Berkeley Springs American Legion Post #60 will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Clark, Jason Clark, Jesse Clark, Wayne Brill, Roger Dellinger, and Greg Drunagel.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock and from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Agnes H. Milstead
Agnes Hurst Milstead, 90, of Winchester died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, in a local nursing home.
She was born May 9, 1910, in Richmond, the daughter of Frank J. and Mary Estelle McNerney Hurst.
She was one of the original Rosie the Riveters, working on gun turrets during World War II at Engineering Research Corp. in Riverdale, Md., and on “The Aircoupe” after the war.
She later worked as a librarian for the CIA until she retired in 1972.
She married Herbert C. Milstead Aug. 16, 1927. Mr. Milstead died in 1971.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Milstead Wolz of Silver Spring, Md., and Joan M. Bettendorf of Winchester; a son, Thomas H. Milstead of Hyattsville, Md.; a sister, Susanne Finn of Hyattsville, Md.; a brother, Frank Hurst of Provincetown, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be said at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with the Rev. Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Burial will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md.
The grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
