Fay L. LeBeau
Fay Leora Bowman LeBeau, 96, of Royal Haven Rest Home, Front Royal, formerly of Arlington, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. LeBeau was born in Ada, Ohio, the daughter of Abigal Gloer and Martin Luther Bowman. She was a teacher at Hampton Institute and Ft. Myer High School. She previously worked in real estate sales and as an economist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
She attended Defiance College and Ohio State University. She earned a master of science degree from Cornell University in 1935.
She was active in Faith Lutheran Church, Arlington, and Clarendon Methodist Church. She sang in the National Lutheran Chorus.
She was president of the Women’s Club of Ashton Heights, Arlington, and organized a Girl Scouts troop.
She was married to Dr. Oscar Ray LeBeau.
Surviving are three children, Anne LeBeau McCarty of North Bend, Wash., Joan LeBeau Anderson of Arlington, and Dr. Martin Eldon LeBeau of New London, N.H.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Washington National Cathedral, Washington, D.C. Burial in Columbia Gardens, Arlington, will be private.

Dorothy E. Kerns, 57, of Andrew Avenue, Winchester, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Kerns was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Cumberland, Md., the daughter of Charles and Hazel Starnes Owens. She was an accounting technician for the U.S. Government.
She was a member of Winchester Church of God.
She married Brandon J. Kerns on June 11, 1997, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Deanna S. Cooper Fiddler of Winchester; a son, John C. Cooper III of Winchester; two sisters, Linda Liplod of Texas and Sandy Kerns of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; a brother, Chuck Owens of Tennessee; and a grandchild.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home, with Pastor Darrell W. Waller officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Kerns Jr., Rodney Kerns, Edward Kerns, Ronnie Kerns Sr., John Grubbs, David Grubbs, Charlie Kerns, and David Pelletier.

William B. Harper
William Beach “Bill” Harper, 49, of Potomac Place, Winchester, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Harper was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Winchester, the son of Roy T. and Doris Turner Harper. He was a baker for the Daily Grind/Daily Knead in Winchester.
He was a member of Braddock Street United Methodist Church.
He married Marilyn Keyton on May 17, 1969, in Winchester.
Surviving with his wife and mother, of Winchester, are a son, William B. Harper II of Blountville, Tenn.; four daughters, Meridith H. Rudolph and Sara E. Harper, both of Winchester, Emily H. Maness of Columbia, S.C., and Margaret Ashley Harper at home; a brother, Michael R. Harper of Charlottesville; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Braddock Street United Methodist Church, with Dr. Alan Felumlee, the Rev. Jay Kelchner, the Rev. Mary Beth Blinn, and the Rev. Barry Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. today in the church sanctuary.

Peggy S. Brill, 70, of East Fairfax Lane, Winchester, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Brill was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Winchester, the daughter of Douglas E. and Nellie Spaid Smallwood. She was a clerk at Valley Newsstand for 25 years.
She was married to James Brill.
Surviving are a son, Gregory L. Brill of Winchester; and a brother, Donald Smallwood of Winchester.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Farel officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Ruth E. Mauck
Ruth Elizabeth Mauck, 82, of 2527 Wilson Blvd., Winchester, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Antioch, Ill.
Mrs. Mauck was born Aug. 19, 1918, in Rockingham County, the daughter of Minor and Annie Wheelbarger Hilbert. She had worked in the office of the M.J. Grove Lime Co. and the Eldridge Lemley photography studio.
She was a member of Salem Church of the Brethren. She volunteered her time and home to the New York Fresh Air Children’s Foundation.
She was married to Elwood Marcus Mauck.
Surviving are three daughters, Betty Meyer of Antioch, Mary Strickland of Winchester, and Deborah Goode of Strasburg; three sons, Dallen Mauck of Lusby, Md., and James Mauck and Dennis Mauck, both of Winchester; four brothers, Ernest Hilbert, Roy Hilbert, Charlie Hilbert, and Ira Hilbert, all of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Delphia Richard of Winchester and May Harold of Bridgewater; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A son, Robert Grove Mauck, and a daughter, Joyce Elizabeth Mauck, are deceased.

Frank T. Hudson
Frank T. Hudson, 72, of Forest Lake Drive, Stephens City, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Hudson was born June 29, 1928, in Amherst County, the son of Leslie and Ethel Davis Hudson. He was a salesman for Dodson Bros. Exterminating Co. from 1962 to 1998.
He was an Army veteran and a member of Eagles Aerie 824.
He married Connie Ashenfelter in 1963 in Hagerstown, Md.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, James B. Hudson of Capon Bridge, W.Va., Frank T. Hudson Jr. of Bedford, Ray S. Shaver of Winchester, and Gilbert Daniel Shaver of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Kay E. Nelms of Stephens City and Judith A. Lowery of Winchester; a sister, Lucille Burley of Lynchburg; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Margaret Elvera Robinson, 89, of Guilford Healthcare Center, Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Burlington, N.C., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, in Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Silverton, Ore., the daughter of Louis Pearl Miller and Olga Amelia Hemmingsen Miller.
She was a member of the Presbyterian faith and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was married to Lt. Col. John Andrew Robinson.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane Tyler of Port Angeles, Wash., and Dr. Sarah Margaret Robinson of Greensboro; two sons, Dr. James H. Robinson of Sound Beach, N.Y., and the Rev. John A. Robinson Jr. of Winchester; a brother, Leon D. Miller of Eugene, Ore.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nail was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Winchester, the daughter of Retha G. Smith and Joseph McCarty. She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church.
She married Paul N. Nail Jr. on April 27, 1947, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Paul M. “Mike” Nail of Stephens City; and a grandson.
A son, Neal Dovel, is deceased.

Mark H. Fuller, 48, of Glengary, W.Va., died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Fuller was born Sept. 29, 1952, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Henry W. and Loris Lindeman Fuller. He was a managing partner with General Data Systems in Bethesda, Md., and a graduate of Hartford State Technical College.
He was a member of the Winchester Harley Davidson Group.
He was married to Kathleen Cacase.
Surviving with his wife and his mother, of Coventry, Conn., are four sons, Morgan W. Fuller, Graham M. Fuller, Darryl J. Fuller, and Jordan H. Rhonda “Ronnie” Ludwig Kells, 53, of Tujunga, Calif., formerly of Winchester, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Kells was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Wardensville, W.Va., the daughter of Howard and Edna Donaven Miller. She was a supervisor with Costco and had worked at the former Capitol Records in Winchester.
She was married to Robert Kells.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Shelly Bregg of Wardensville and Nicole Ludwig of Tujunga; a son, Scotty Miller of Wardensville; two brothers, Bobby Miller of Inwood, W.Va., and Andy Miller of Wardensville; two sisters, Betty Brill of Wardensville and Shirley Lafollette of Sterling; and six grandchildren.
