Norma M. Rudolph
Norma McIlwee Rudolph, 67, of 160 Oates Road, Star Tannery, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.
Mrs. Rudolph was born March 31, 1933, in Star Tannery, the daughter of Curtis Sale “Buck” and Indola W. Reynolds McIlwee. She worked at the Woodstock Moose Lodge and had retired from Perry-Judd’s Inc., Strasburg Division.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 1865, Star Tannery Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Cedar Creek Christian Church.
She was married to Joseph Wesley Rudolph.
Surviving are three daughters, Norma J. Copeland of Strasburg, Denise Shaw of Maurertown, and Tracey E. Orndorff of Mt. Jackson; a son, Joseph W. “Billy” Rudolph of Star Tannery; a sister, Neva J. Strosnider of Zepp; a brother, Curtis Larry McIlwee of Star Tannery; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg, with Pastor Lynn Bechdolt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Christian Church Cemetery, Zepp.
Pallbearers will be Butch Copeland, Vernon McIlwee, Landon Shaw, Ray Orndorff, Gary Strosnider, and Gene Kenyon.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Diane B. Trant
Diane Bucher Trant, 50, of Berryville Avenue, Winchester, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Trant was born May 9, 1950, in Winchester, the daughter of Talmadge L. and Catherine Carper Bucher. She was retired as a financial assistant at Winchester Medical Center.
She was a 1968 graduate of James Wood High School and a member of Montague Avenue United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose 1367.
She married J. Parrish Trant on Sept. 10, 1994, in Winchester.
Surviving with her husband and her mother, of Winchester, are a son, Mark Edward Lewis of Winchester; a daughter, Kimberlie Renee Lewis of Blacksburg; and a brother, Jack L. Bucher of Woodstock.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herbert K. Seemann officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Anderson, Gary Abbinanti, Moses Hazelette, Mitchell Creamer, Bruce Trant, and Scott Harper.

Daren R. Feeley
Daren Robert Feeley, 33, of Las Vegas, formerly of Winchester and Inwood, W.Va., died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, in Las Vegas.
Mr. Feeley was born Dec. 28, 1966, in England, the son of Russell G. Feeley and Glynis Nortonen.
Surviving with his parents, of Las Vegas, are two sisters, Chanin Cuddeback and Danyell Feeley, both of Las Vegas; and a brother, Ryan Feeley of Las Vegas.
A funeral will be today in Palm Mortuary, Las Vegas, with the Rev. Jay Kelchner officiating. Burial will be in Bunkers Memorial Park, Las Vegas.
Charles D. Smeltzer
Charles David “Wrinkle” Smeltzer, 70, of Green Spring Road, Winchester, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Smeltzer was born Nov. 24, 1930, in Frederick County, the son of John David and Delsie Elliott Smeltzer. He was a self-employed handyman.
Surviving are three sisters, Stella Cooper of Winchester, Violet Maxine Brant of Inwood, W.Va., and Ruth Allamong of Green Spring; and a brother, John V. Smeltzer of Green Spring.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Old Stone Church Cemetery, White Hall, with the Rev. Roy Chapman officiating.

Corene D. Olivis
Corene Doleman Olivis, 80, of Berryville, formerly of Washington, D.C., died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Olivis was born June 30, 1920, in Clarke County, the daughter of Ezekiel and Janie Green Doleman. She was a member of First Rising Mount Zion Church in Washington.
She was married to Samuel J. Olivis.
Surviving are a daughter, Gloria McSwain of Washington; a sister, Rebecca Holmes of Berryville; and a brother, Foster Doleman of Washington.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Maryland National Memorial Park Cemetery, Laurel, Md.
Pallbearers will be Phill Stevens Jr., John Richard Yates, Ezekiel Holmes, Michael Doleman, Jimmy Newman, and Dixon Taylor.

Gilbert C. Mills
Gilbert Cleveland Mills, 76, of White Post, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Mills was born July 28, 1924, in Rappahanock County, the son of Della Blanch Elkins and Grover Cleveland Mills. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Front Royal.
He was married to Joyce Ann Lucas Mills.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Donald Wayne Mills of Stephens City; two daughters, Elizabeth Dawn Martin of Binghamton, N.Y., and Jacquelyn Leigh Mills of Centreville; five stepchildren, Tammy Nagi of Waldorf, Md., Teresa Myers of Fincastle, Tina Scully of Winchester, T.J. Oaks of Front Royal, and Evelyn Moore of Dublin, Ga.; a brother, Samuel Mills of Front Royal; two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Della Mae Day, both of Front Royal; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be a 3 p.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church, Front Royal, with the Rev. David Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Panorama Memorial Gardens, Waterlick.

Jessie P. Brannon
Jessie Patterson Brannon, 87, of 1560 Kimble Road, Berryville, formerly of Winchester, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Brannon was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Frederick County, the daughter of Floyd and Ruth Miller Patterson. She worked for the U.S. government at Mount Weather and retired on June 30, 1979.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church.
She married James Brannon on July 16, 1930, in Gainesboro. Mr. Brannon died in 1978.
Surviving are a son, James A. Brannon of Berryville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Spencer of Manassas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Larry W. Brannon, is deceased.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with the Rev. Herb McLean officiating. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Joseph C. O’Leary Jr.
Joseph C. O’Leary Jr., 72, of Opequon Avenue, Winchester, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. O’Leary was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Winchester, the son of Joseph C. and Ethel Haymaker O’Leary. He was a self-employed brick mason.
He was in the Army from 1945 to 1947 with the rank of private in the military police.
He was a member of VFW Post 2123, American Legion Post 21, and Friendship Fire Company.
Surviving are a sister, Ruth C. Reed of Winchester; and a brother, David H. Clevenger of Middletown.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Winchester, with the Rev. Stanley J. Krempa officiating.

Nancy L. Gray
Nancy Lee Gray, 62, of 909 William St., Front Royal, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
Mrs. Gray was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Luray, the daughter of I. Claude and Vesta Painter Southerly. She was a financial secretary for E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School.
She was a graduate of Luray High School and attended Madison College.
She was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church, the Naomi Circle of the church, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She married Donald Isaiah Gray on July 10, 1960. Mr. Gray died Nov. 29, 1978.
Surviving with her mother, of Luray, are a son, Donald Todd Gray of Denver; a daughter, Sherrill Anne Gray of Federal Way, Wash.; a brother, I. Claude Southerly Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Luray United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stephanie Bush officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Luray.

Britney J. Weatherholt
Britney Jane Weatherholt of Magic Mountain Road, Winchester died Friday Nov. 24, 2000, in the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
She was born July 29, 2000, in Winchester, the daughter of James Franklin Weatherholt Jr. and Vickie Jane Fisher Weatherholt.
Survivors in addition to her parents are paternal grandparents, James and Patty Weatherholt of Stephens City; and maternal grandmother, Lola McBride of Winchester.
Her maternal grandparents, George Michael and Delores Jane McBride Fisher are deceased.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Wampler Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Robert W. Evans
Robert “Bob” W. Evans, 60, of Winchester, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000.
Mr. Evans was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Edwardsville, Pa., the son of Richard and Helen Sudusky Evans.
He was a maintenance engineer for Shawnee Management Corp.
He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedar Creek Mounted Guard, Shenandoah Club A.A., and a former reserve with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Department.
He was a chief engineman in the Navy from 1959 to 1980 and served in Vietnam.
He married Marie Evans in Wyckoff, N.J.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Martin Brocklehurst of Grove City, Pa., and Robert Tranum of Lodoga, Ind.; two daughters, Joanne Lietzau of Groveland, Fla., and Robyn Shenk of Winchester; a brother, Richard T. Evans of Larksville, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.

Jean C. Dorsey, 74, of Fostoria, Ohio, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, in Fostoria Community Hospital.
Mrs. Dorsey was born Aug. 30, 1926, the daughter of the Thurman and Chloe Cattlet Moore.
She was an retired inspector for Atlas Crankshaft after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Veterans, American Legion, Disabled Veterans, and the Moose Lodge.
She was a 1944 graduate of Gainesboro High School.
She married Ralph Dorsey June 4, 1946, in Gainesboro.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Clyde L. Dorsey of Fostoria; a daughter, Jean C. Dorsey of Fostoria; two sisters, Virginia “Furn” Shirley of Springfield, Ohio, and Catherine M. Stotler of Winchester; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral was at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria with the Rev. Branson Hawkes officiating. Burial was in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.
