DANVILLE, Va. - Ivey F. "Mickey" Gentry, of Wyndover Woods, died June 23, 2000, at Danville Regional Medical Center after three years of declining health and a five-day stay in the hospital.
Born in Danville, he was the son of W.R. Gentry and Lucy Cole Gentry.
He was a lifelong resident of Danville, where he retired as Director of Collections for the City of Danville after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Compton Gentry of the residence.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel with the Rev. Dr. R.J. Barber Jr. officiating. Interment
will follow in Highland Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday from Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel and at other times at the residence.

Tracy Pritchett
DANVILLE, Va. - Tracy Wayne "Tank" Pritchett, 34, of 1314 Kemper Road Extension, died Monday, June 19, 2000, at the Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. as the result of a car accident.
Born Nov. 24, 1965 in Danville, he was the son of Herman Pritchett and Gloria Hyde Pritchett.
He was married
to Patricia Anderson Pritchett, who survives. He was a long-time employee of the United Parcel Service.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one daughter, Lakenya Pritchett of Danville; one son, Damian Anderson of Danville; one sister, Dana Pritchett of Tacoma, Wash.; and one brother, Charles Pritchett of Danville.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Jasper Watkins officiating. Interment
will follow in Highland Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at the residence.

Gracie Williamson
DANVILLE, Va. - Gracie Carter Williamson, 75, of 8910 Mount Cross Road, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at her residence.
Born May 14, 1925 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of John Carter and Kate Russell Carter.
She was married
to Herman Williamson, who predeceased her.
Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Hardy, Sheila Williamson and Sheerilliene Williamson, all of Ringgold and Pamela Hunt of Danville; two sons, Arthur Williamson and Randor Williamson, both of Ringgold; four sisters, A.G. Word of Ringgold, Nattie Williamson and Carrie Carter, both of Danville, and Hattie Sanders of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from Sunny Level Baptist Church with the Rev. William P. Thomas officiating. Interment
will follow in Highland Burial Park.

DANVILLE, Va. Tyler Andrew Davis, infant son of Michael Evans Davis and April Wrenn Davis, 2136 Spencer St., was born dead Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Danville Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Michael Evans Davis II of the residence; his maternal grandparents, Ed C. Wrenn of Providence, N.C., and Brenda Adkins Boyd of Greenville, N.C.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Davis of Danville; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Martin of Danville; and his maternal great-grandmother, Estelle Adkins of Danville.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday from Highland Burial Park with the Rev. Neal Isom officiating.

Betty Hancock Keesee
GRETNA, Va. - Betty Hancock Keesee, age 61, of 1412 Pittsville Road, Gretna, died Saturday, June 24, 2000 at her residence.
Born August 18, 1938 in Danville, she was a daughter of the late Albert McTaw Hancock and Rena Bowler Hancock. Mrs. Keesee was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU. She was an employee of Capps Shoe Co.
She is survived by her husband, Edward "Zeke" Keesee of the residence, two daughters, Ellen Farmer of Gretna, Tammy Matherly and her husband William of Gretna; a brother, Albert Hancock of Gretna; two grandchildren, Willie Matherly and Cody Matherly.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2000 at Greenfield Baptist Church by Rev. R.G. Rowland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence, 1412 Pittsville Road, Gretna.

James Melvin Lemons
MARTINSVILLE, Va. James Melvin Lemons, 59, of Martinsville, died June 22, 2000 at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Born Oct. 12, 1940 in Martinsville, he was a son of Willie T. Lemons and Irene Carter Lemons.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Mantooth; one sister, Marie Craig of Bassett; two brothers, Bobby Lemons of Ridgeway, Va., and William Lemons of High Point, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Cecil Coates officiating.

Marshall Lovett
SPARTANBURG, S.C. Marshall Haseman Lovett, of 215 Pineville Road, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at White Oak Estates.
He was the son of Harry Parke and Annie Haseman Lovett.
He was married
to Martha Thomas Lovett, who survives. He was a graduate of VPI in Blacksburg, Va., with a degree in Industrial Physics, and did graduate work at the University of Rochester in New York.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.
He received the American Theatre Ribbon Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
Prior to his retirement, he was Chief Metallurgist of the Cleveland, Ohio Forest City Division of Lawson-Sessions. After retiring, he earned a Master of Education Degree from Mount St. Joseph College where he became an Adjunct Professor.
He was designated a Distinguished Services Life Member by the American Foundryman's Society AFS Service Life Membership.
He was a charter member of the Rochester Lions Club and a contributor to the Rochester Eye Bank and Research Society.
He was active in the Aware Literacy Program, served as treasurer of Spartanburg Flynn Home for Recovering Alcoholics and was a participant in the Spartanburg Retired Seniors Volunteer Program.
He received a volunteer Appreciation Award from the Spartanburg Council on Aging.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday School teacher and a Lutheran Church Council member.
In addition to his wife, formerly of Danville, he is survived by two daughters, Martha Lovett Adams of Rochester, N.Y., and Susan Thomas Lovett of Boston; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday from St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marion W. Clark and the Rev. Everette L. Lineberger. Interment
will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel in Spartanburg.

Levise Martin Jr.
SANDY LEVEL, Va. Levise Martin Jr., 34, of 8820 Grassland Drive, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000 in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 7, 1965 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of Levise Martin Sr. and Hattie Wood Martin.
He was a member of Sandy Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, T. Herbert Martin of Washington and one sister, Sallie B. Martin of Danville.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Mease cemetery, with Rev. Raymond Ramsey officiating.

Parker Daniel Setliff
DANVILLE, Va. - Parker Daniel Setliff, infant son of Gregory Daniel and Paula Yeatts Setliff died Thursday, June 22, 2000 at Duke Medical Center where he had been a patient since his birth May 29, 2000.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Garcia A. (Rick) Yeatts, his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin G. Setliff and an uncle, Todd M. Yeatts, all of Danville.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 26, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. from the graveside in Highland Burial Park by the Reverend Freddy J. Vicks.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel and at other times at the residence, 141 Third Avenue.
