DANVILLE, Va. - Elizabeth Robins Link died Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born in Danville, she was the daughter of William Alfred Robins and Bessie Clarke Robins.
She was married
Sept. 20, 1940 to Harry Rollen Link, who predeceased her Jan. 4, 2001. She attended Danville public schools and graduated from Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was a board member of the Women of the Church. She worked as a teacher for George Washington High School for a number of years. She was also a board member of the Jr. Wednesday Club, the Wednesday Club and the Garden Club of Danville.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Link Gerstner of Greenwich, Conn.; one son, Harry R. Link Jr. of Danville; two sisters, Nancy R. Lea of Danville, Marguerite R. Smart of Greenville, S.C. and two grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Mountain View cemetery with the Rev. Jack Heinsohn Jr. officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville.

Robert Lovell
Martinsville, Va. - Robert Garland Lovell, 51, of 280 Yeatts Road, died March 22, 2001.
Born Dec. 11, 1949, in Martinsville, Va., he was the son of James Garland Lovell and Evelyn Crouch Lovell.
He was married
to Reba Boardwine Finley Lovell. He was a member of Druid Hills Baptist Church. He was employed by Sprint for 18 years and served on the Martinsville Police Department and the Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors in addition to his wife include, four sons, James Brice Lovell of Martinsville, Christopher Eugene Finley of Salem, Brian Eugene Finley and Edwin Eugene Finley, both of Collinsville; a sister, Carole Lovell Webb; two brothers, Christopher J. Lovell of Danville and Jeffrey L. Lovell of Martinsville; five grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Norris Funeral Services Chapel, with the Rev. Van Moore officiating. Interment
will be at Roselawn Burial Park.

Wesley Wilson
DANVILLE, Va. - Wesley "Rabbit" Wilson, 63, of 1115 Stokes St., Danville, died Friday, March 16, 2001 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born May 2, 1937 in Danville, he was the son of Nathan and Gladys Graves Wilson.
He was married
to Faye Brown Wilson, who survives.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Wesley Ann Gill of Danville; two sisters, Remonia D. Wright of Danville, Clairessa Lovelace of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; two brothers, Nathaniel Wilson of Danville, Stanford Wilson of Landover, Md. and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment
will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Bishop Major L. Hairston officiating.
The family will receive friends at the residence.

Arlie Marshall
DANVILLE, Va. - Arlie Belle Marshall, 80, of the Outlook Pointe, 432 Hermitage Drive, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born Sept. 20, 1920 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of George Ellis Marshall and Bertha Bond Marshall.
She graduated from John Wesley College and worked as an educator in Greensboro, N.C. and Hopewell as well as a teacher at Danville Christian Church for six years and Southhall Christian School for eight years. She was a member of Westover Baptist Church.
She was predeceased, in addition to her parents, by three brothers, Harmon Marshall, Wade Marshall, Foy Marshall and two sisters, Martha Hardy and Erva Marshall.
The graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Robert Vermillion and Dr. Doug Barber officiating.
The family will be receiving friends 7-8 p.m. Thursday at Townes Funeral Home.

Charlie Miller
CHATHAM, Va. - Charlie Miller, 76, of 1152 North Main Street, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at his residence.
Born June 6, 1923 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Bessie Miller.
He was married
to Marie Harris Miller, who survives. He was a member of New Hope A.M.E. Church, Judah Lodge No. 205, a World War II veteran and a retired mechanic.
Survivors in addition to his wife include, three sons, Ronnie Jones, Larry Jones, both of Chatham, Va., Waverly Jones of Miami Fla.; one daughter, Willie Mae Woods, of Danville; one sister, Bessie M. Younger, of Chatham; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy Smith officiating. Interment
will follow with military rites by American Legion Post No. 29 of Danville, and Masonic rites by Judah Lodge No. 205 of Chatham, at Hillcrest Burial Park.
A viewing will be held 2-7 p.m. Saturday from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Younger, 1488 Mill Creek Road, Chatham.

Patrick Musick
DANVILLE, Va. - Patrick H. Musick, of 200 Robertson Avenue, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at the residence.
Born Aug. 7, 1953, in Kingsport, Tenn., he was a son of H.L. Musick and Mary Foster Musick, who survives.
He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration in 1975 and graduated from University of Virginia School of Law in 1978. He clerked for Justice George Cochran of the Virginia Supreme Court and practiced law at the law firm of Clement and Wheatley. He was a member of the Stratford Tennis Club and Y.M.C.A.
Survivors, in addition to his mother of Gate City, include two brothers, Mark D. Musick of Atlanta, Ga., and C. Lynn Musick of Weber City, and one sister, Linda M. Warren of Staunton.
The graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holston View cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends following the service at Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church in Lynn Garden, Tenn., and at other times at the residence. The memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Y.M.C.A.

William Peatross
DANVILLE, Va. - William Henry Peatross, 78, of 145 Walker Street, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at the V.A. Medical Center in Salem.
Born July 27, 1922, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Pinkey and Mae Peatross.
He was married
to Mary Harrison Peatross, who survives.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of the residence, include six daughters, Linda Murray and Elnora Williams, both of Detroit, Mich., Kathy Jones, Sylvennia Peatross and Tammy Peatross, all of Danville, and Wanda Womack of Clarksville, Tenn.; four sons, William H. Peatross Jr. and Edmond Peatross, both of Detroit, Mich., Dennis Peatross and Brett Peatross, both of Danville; one sister, Ruth Jean Prillerman of Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother, Harvey Peatross of Hampton, and grandchildren.
He was predeceased, in addition to his parents, by one son, Anthony Peatross.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jeffrey Hairston officiating. Interment
will follow at Oak Hill cemetery.

HENRY, Va. - Bobby Ray Keatts, 55, of Twin Ridge Marnia Road, Henry, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at Carilion Community / Rke.
Born Dec. 16, 1945 in Virginia, he was the son of Vernell Alderson Keatts and Garland Keatts.
She was married
to Marie Keatts, who survives. He worked for Bassett Printing before becoming disabled and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of the home, include two daughters, Melissa Keatts of the home, Niki Wilder of Richmond; two sons, Bradley Keatts of the home, Jody Keatts of Richmond; one sister, Jean Hart of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, Wayne Keatts of South Boston, Ronnie Keatts of Richmond and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Shady Rest cemetery in Bassett with Raymond Beauge officiating.

Gloria Pruitt
DANVILLE, Va. - Gloria Ann Pruitt, 65, of 860 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, died Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 348 Major Court, Danville.
Born Dec. 5, 1935 in Danville, she was the daughter of Edward Richard Pruitt and Oledis Mabry Pruitt, who survives.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She worked in Richmond, Va., for 38 years for C & P Telephone Company and resided in Danville for the last 5 years. She graduated from George Washington High School.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include one brother, Edward Duane Pruitt of Danville; one sister-in-law, Pat Pruitt of Danville; nephew and wife, Keith and Cheryl Pruitt of Danville; great niece, Candace Pruitt of Danville and someone special, Robert Franklin of Danville.
The graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2001 at the Mausoleum of Danville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Joe Beck officiating. Burial will take place at Danville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the home of Duane and Pat Pruitt, 348 Major Court, Danville.
