Belva Dotson
Belva Louise Dotson of Calverton died Thursday at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She was 68.
She was born in St. Paul, the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Jane Reedy Tichenor.
She was an employee of the Division of Motor Vehicles in Manassas for 14 years. She volunteered with various organizations such as the Birmingham Green Nursing Home in Manassas. She was a member of the Centreville Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aldie D. Dotson.
She is survived by two sons: Gary Dotson of Calverton and Terry Dotson of Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers: Charles Tichenor of Monroe, La., and Albert Tichenor of Big Stone Gap; and five grandchildren.
The family received friends Sunday at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton, where services were held Monday. Interment
followed at Bright View cemetery in Warrenton.

Edward Gisin
Edward ``Ed'' Charles Gisin of Manassas died Friday at Prince William Hospital. He was 89.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Kathy E. Gisin.
He is survived by his son, Ed Gisin of Annandale; and three grandchildren.
The family received friends Sunday at Price Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday with the Rev. Billy G. Tatum officiating. Interment
followed at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax.

Oliver Jackson
Oliver Y. Jackson of Manassas, formerly of Pompton Lakes, N.J., died Tuesday at Prince William Hospital in Manassas. He was 87.
He retired from the DuPont Corporation in 1978 after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Vera Jackson; his son, Michael O. (and Evangelina) Jackson of Manassas; and three sisters: Helen Dehler of Florida, June Marciano of New Jersey and Ruth Tremper of Delaware.
Also surviving are two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St. in Manassas, with Bishop Eric Olson officiating. Interment
will be private.

Virgil Wells
Virgil Lee Wells of Dale City died Sunday at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was 64.
He retired from the United States Army in 1978, having served in Vietnam. He was a Dale City resident since his retirement.
He is survived by one son, Tim Park Wells, of Montclair; one sister, Ollie May Jackson of Illinois; two brothers, Otis Wells of Georgia and James Wells of New York; and two grandchildren
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd. in Dale City. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Billy Shepard officiating. Interment
will follow at Quantico National cemetery.

Loretta Owens
Lorette Irene Owens of Lorton died Sunday at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge. She was 64.
She was a volunteer at Occoquan Elementary School and the Lorton-Gunston Recreational Association.
She is survived by her husband, Taylor Owens of Lorton; two daughters, Kathy Metz of Stafford and Damara Owens of Lorton; four sons: Taylor Owens III of Lorton, Thomas ``Toby'' Owens of Stafford and Mike and Frank Owens, both of Sterling. She also is survived by two sisters, Mary Lee Wootton and Marie MacMullen, both of Woodbridge; and two brothers, Thomas Cozzens of Arlington and Lester Cozzens of Manassas.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Allan Stanford officiating.

Mary Holtmeier
Mary Lee Holtmeier of Manassas died Sunday at Prince William Hospital in Manassas. She was 87.
She was a longtime member of the Rebecca Lodge, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Catharpin Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton J. Holtmeier.
She is survived by two sons, Jesse W. Reid Jr. of Manassas and Robert C. Reid of Roanoke; two sisters, Ruby Mayhugh and Beulah Tucker, both of Manassas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St. in Manassas with the Rev. William B. Day Jr. officiating. Interment
will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas.

Michael Foglio, 77, retired high school coach
Funeral services for Michael ``Mike" Foglio, a retired teacher and baseball coach at Fairfax County's Mount Vernon High School, were held Saturday in Ormond Beach, Fla., followed by interment at Volusia, Fla., Memorial Park.
Mr. Foglio, formerly of Alexandria, died of kidney failure Wednesday at Memorial Hospital in Ormond Park. He was 77.
He was born July 17, 1924, in Washington, D.C., the son of Nicholas and Frances Foglio, and graduated from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va. He retired in 1986 and moved to Ormond Beach, where he was founder and president of the Daytona Beach Senior Men's Softball Association. He was inducted recently into the Florida State Softball Hall of Fame. He was a deacon at Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Una Mae of Ormond Beach; three sons, Steven Foglio of Smyrna Beach, Fla., Daniel Foglio of Centreville and Mark Foglio of Ormond Beach; a daughter, Teresa Morrison of Springfield; three brothers, Dominic and Joseph Foglio, both of Chantilly, and James Foglio of Burke; two sisters, Betty Brooks of Woodbridge and Elizabeth Lambert of Burke; and four grandchildren.

Derek Williams
Retired Marine Master Gunnery Sgt. Derek Carl Williams of Manassas died Saturday at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church. He was 42.
He was a member of the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, and was vice president of Stonewall Jackson High School's Parent Teacher Student Organization and Marstellar Middle School's Parent Teacher Organization. He attended Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Corine Williams; his father, Zell Williams Sr. and his brother, Zell Williams Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Williams; his children: Jamie Williams, Rachel Williams, Walter Williams and Rebecca Williams, all of Manassas; five sisters: Patricia Jackson, Glenese Williams, Terri Williams, Shirley Floyd and Aquanita Williams, all of Miami, and his stepmother, Bennie Lee Williams of Manassas.
Visitation was held Monday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church, 8899 Sudley Road in Manassas with the Rev. Bob Brookover officiating. Interment
will be held at a later date at Lakeside Memorial Park in Miami.
